Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5001 is contained in a locked garden shed on Site 11, and SCP-5001 itself is always chained to the back wall from its handle. SCP-5001 may only be unlocked when being used to mow the lawns of Site 11. When being transported through a crowd of people, a path must be cleared for SCP-5001.

SCP-5001 is not extremely hazardous, but must be handled with care. SCP-5001 may be used by Class C or higher personnel to mow the lawns of Site 11.

Description: SCP-5001 is a light green Ryobi 40v Lithium Brushless lawnmower. SCP-5001 does not appear to be powered on and has no batteries. Despite a lack of power, the rotary blade on SCP-5001's underside continuously rotates as if SCP-5001 were still powered on.

Addendum 5001.1: Discovery

SCP-5001 was first discovered when a man in Austin, Texas, identified as ████ █████████, called 911 to report that his lawnmower was still running. When asked what the problem was, Mr. █████████ told the operator that he had finished mowing the lawn two and a half hours previous to making the call and had removed its batteries. SCP personnel were dispatched and managed to secure SCP-5001 with little trouble.

Tests at Site 11 could not find a power source and labeled it as "Safe" due to a lack of danger.
