Description: SCP-5616 is a█████████ brand mobile laptop, with a mass of 2.3 Kg. SCP-5616 appears to be a normal laptop, until it is power turned on. The laptop has exactly 2 tabs open, on an unnamed and generic browser. These tabs are to be designated as SCP-5616-1 and SCP-5616-2. SCP-5616 has an indefinite battery life, and all attempts to charge it have had no results.
SCP-5616-1 is a word document, with no noticeably anomalous properties. Scp-5616-1 functions identical to a normal text document with the exception of any changes saving only when a click is made on the track pad. Certain edits made to SCP-5616-1 will not be saved, for reasons unknown. Below is a list of criteria for editorial discrepancies that SCP-5616-1 will not save.
Any editorial changes that change the depiction, name, or personality of the protagonist of the story (this does not include changes made to the species of the protagonist)
Any changes that add any romantic, sexual, or pornographic elements.
Any additions that imply the protagonist has been killed, destroyed, defeated, or otherwise removed from the continuity of the story.
SCP-5616-1, as of writing this, contains a story following a male anthropomorphic fox, who has been tasked with defeating a loosely defined antagonist, referred to as “the dark lord”. The story is set in medieval times, with all given characters being some species of anthropomorphic animal. The protagonist, often referred to as “Cedric” is a knight, often equipped with full steel plate armor and a steel bastard sword. Over the course of the story, Cedric makes the long and arduous journey to the castle of the dark lord, and “defeats” them.
SCP-5616-2 is the other open tab, which is a live video feed. The source is unknown, but every time a change is successfully saved on SCP-5616-1, the video feed will reset, and show footage of all events portrayed in SCP-5616-1, from a viewpoint usually positioned roughly 10 feet behind the protagonist, although this changes as the video progresses.once the story concludes, the protagonist, designated SCP-5616-A, will face towards the camera, and attempt to interact with the current user. SCP-5616-A is sentient, and of average intelligence. Apon the activation ofSCP-5616-A through the conclusion of the story, they will try to talk to the current user of SCP-5616, often suggesting possible changes to the story. At times, during the video progression of the story, SCP-5616-A will look over their shoulder at the screen and wink at whoever is using SCP-5616. If SCP-5616-A is left without a story sequence to participate in for more than 48 hours, they will become restless, and try to get the user or anyone else nearby to change the story. After a full week without a story, SCP-5616-A will move around the now suspended world of the story. Upon conclusion of the story, the world within will remain constant, but be frozen until the story begins again. after a week of inactivity, SCP-5616-A will begin to wander around this space, eating food and trying to entertain itself. SCP-5616-A will always retain the memories of past experiences, and can see and hear anything directly outside of the computer screen.
