Elevator Pitch: SCP-XXXX is a cave located inside a hill located near the village of [REDACTED], Afghanistan. After the foundation noticed anomalous activity in the area the cave was sealed off. The anomaly had begun after the discovery of SCP-XXXX and the subsequent opening of the sealed passage leading inside SCP-XXXX. Most of the townsfolk were befell by an odd disease shortly after this, people affected would either die out of excessive hemorrhaging of various bodily fluids. The remainder went mad and were exiled from the village as a result. There have been several attempts to explore the cave system, however almost all agents involved met the same fate as the villagers, the few objects found inside the cave are old manuscripts and crude figures. The deeper areas of the cave and a specific chamber called “The Kings Court” have been put under extensive containment due to belief by the foundation that these areas contain entities which are likely incredibly hostile and dangerous.
Central Narrative: In actuality SCP-XXXX is not a cave, rather it was an underground complex that used to serve the purpose of a palace. The village near the cave was once a city of a large interstellar civilization After problems arising from a recently ended conflict with elder beings, waves of tragedies and disasters befell the empire, leading to the remainder of the people to flee to Earth. During the end of the conflict, the elder gods cursed the king that he would become what he strived to destroy. The people of the empire and the king himself started to fall ill. Many had died of the same cause, excessive fluid loss. The artifacts had become dangerous and the king and his court went mad. The king started exhibiting even more change, great chains bound him to an unknown source and his crown and weapons were coated in a black ichor. The king, with his final bit of sanity sealed himself and his court from the people so he could not become a threat to them.
Hook/Attention-Grabber: I believe the hook would be the odd and mysterious nature of what is inside of the cave.
