SCP-XXXY

SCP-XXXY (Centre), directly before Incident Eloi-3-XXXY. Note the presence of Mateo P███ behind him.

Item Number: SCP-XXXY

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXY is currently contained in a standard humanoid containment chamber at Site ██. The cell is furnished with a bed, dining table, fridge, television, dresser and a simple bathroom.

Any personal conversing with SCP-XXXY are advised to formulate their responses or questions to SCP-XXXY in their head, wait five seconds for SCP-XXXY to speak, and then make their statement. This is advised even if SCP-XXXY has already proposed an answer to the question being asked.

Description: SCP-XXXY is Darren C██████, a 48-year old caucasian male from the province of Alberta, Canada. SCP-XXXY stands at 1.85m, and weighs 81 kg. SCP-XXXY married Jennifer C█████ on ██/██/19██, and the two conceived two children, Tom C██████ and Haley C██████. SCP-XXXY worked as a software developer in the town of █████████, until incident Eloi-3-XXXY, which has apparently displaced SCP-XXXY approximately five seconds into the future perceived reality. SCP-XXXY displayed no anomalous qualities before this, and can recall no other anomalous events happening in it's life.

Currently, the exact extent of SCP-XXXY's anomalous abilities are scarcely understood, and it is assumed that the subject has somehow displaced to a reality that mirror's the foundation's current one, but is five seconds ahead in time. Thus, SCP-XXXY is able to perfectly communicate to personal in the it's realm, while also staying five seconds ahead of the foundations realm.

The other leading theory on the nature of SCP-XXXY, theorized by Dr. Caterzealis, states [DATA EXPUNGED]

SCP-XXXY is not clairvoyent by it's own accord, and claims that to it, nothing is amiss, and SCP-XXXY experiences reality normally, with no anomalous or shifts. SCP-XXXY explains away it's anamolous nature by stating that it is not making predictions, but instead responding to stimuli as they are presented.

Reaction tests given to SCP-XXXY do not show any abnormalities to the subjects reaction speed, or mental processing. In fact, the subject scored lower than average on a majority of tests, despite reacting to them five seconds before the tests were performed. SCP-XXXY has been found to not be anomalous in any other way or capacity, excluding it's predictive nature.

Details of Recovery: SCP-XXXY was recovered from New York Presbyterian Hospital after Incident Eloi-3-XXXY, where the subject was recovering from the attempted assassination by Mateo P███. Foundation agents were dispatched after several of the staff reported SCP-XXXY acting oddly, and answering question or replying to statements before they had been asked. Class-C Amnestics were given to all staff attending to SCP-XXXY, and the subject was safely extracted to Site ██, where on-site medical staff treated the subject for a major gunshot wound.

It was decided by foundation personnel to not administer ammnestics to the family of SCP-XXXY or Jennifer C█████, due to their current beliefs that SCP-XXXY is dead. Mrs. C█████ had begun to claim that SCP-XXXY had died of it's injuries even before foundation agents were dispatched to the hospital to recover SCP-XXXY. Embedded agents have decided to stick with the story, and as of ██/█/20██, Darren C█████ has been legally declared dead.

Testing Logs

Test Researcher Description Results
Test-152-19 Dr. Laurie Wilson D-767992 was instructed to enter into SCP-XXXY's chamber, and to take a seat with SCP-XXXY. D-767992 was to think to himself various things to say towards SCP-XXXY, but not to speak or react to SCP-XXXY in any way. SCP-XXXY was not informed of the testing parameters. D-767992 sat with SCP-XXXY thinking of various conversation topics, and speaking to SCP-XXXY in his head. Nothing that D-767992 thought was noticed by SCP-XXXY, and for a majority of the test, SCP-XXXY seemed confused, trying to begin a conversation with D-767992, to no avail.
Test-152-47 Dr. Laurie Wilson D-02302 was instructed to enter into SCP-XXXY's chamber, and begin a conversation with SCP-XXXY. The topic of the conversation was irrelevant. Upon SCP-XXXY speaking, D-02302 was to interrupt SCP-XXXY, and begin speaking herself. SCP-XXXY was not informed of the testing parameters. D-02302 successfully began conversation with SCP-XXXY, and as expected, SCP-XXXY gave responses to D-02302 before D-02302 could speak. Each time SCP-XXXY spoke, D-02302 interrupted the subject, however SCP-XXXY did not seem to notice. Upon later being question, SCP-XXXY claimed no knowledge of the interruptions.
Test-153-6 Dr. Ozeal Redeker D-885640 was instructed to stand in front of SCP-XXXY, and move in an assigned pattern around SCP-XXXY's chamber. SCP-XXXY was instructed to sit opposite of D-885640, and point it's finger at the D-class, attempting to keep it's finger pointed at him. D-885640 successfully navigated the chamber as instructed. SCP-XXXY failed to keep it's finger pointing at D-885640, however consistently pointed it's finger to places in the chamber that D-885640 would travel in five seconds time. When asked if it was able to complete the task, SCP-XXXY claimed that it had successfully kept it's finger pointing at D-885640 for the duration of the test.
Test-151-88 Dr. Gerald Caterzealis D-885640 was instructed to stand in front of SCP-XXXY, and move in an assigned pattern around SCP-XXXY's chamber at first, but after twenty seconds, would only attempt to avoid whichever direction SCP-XXXY would be pointing. SCP-XXXY was instructed to sit opposite of D-885640, and point it's finger at the D-class, attempting to keep it's finger pointed at him. D-885640 successfully navigated the chamber as instructed, and then began trying to avoid having SCP-XXXY's finger pointing at him. Again, SCP-XXXY failed to keep it's finger pointed at D-885640. When later asked if it had succeeded, SCP-XXXY claimed that it had once again succeeded in it's task. Of note, when asked to point towards D-885640 after the test, SCP-XXXY pointed to a corner in it's chamber, where it claimed that D-885640 was standing. SCP-XXXY was again incorrect, as D-885640 was standing in the other corner of it's chamber, but SCP-XXXY remained completely convinced that it was pointing it's finger at D-885640.
Test-153-18 Dr. Ozeal Redeker D-527914 was instructed to enter SCP-XXXY's chamber with a plastic ball, and to throw the ball to SCP-XXXY, who was then instructed to catch the ball, and throw it back to D-527914. D-527914 successfully threw the ball to SCP-XXXY, who mimicked catching it before D-527914 had even thrown it. When she did throw the ball, SCP-XXXY did not react to it, letting it fly past his head, and instead mimicked throwing the ball back to D-527914. She then informed SCP-XXXY that it had indeed not caught the ball, and had not throw it to her. SCP-XXXY remained adamant that it had caught the ball, and had throw it back to D-527914, who had simply failed to catch it. After a few more attempts by D-527914 to get SCP-XXXY to catch the ball, all of them failing, D-527914 became frustrated, and refused to participate in the test any longer. SCP-XXXY apologized to D-527914, but also claimed to be unsure of what it had done to upset her.
Test-153-25 Dr. Ozeal Redeker D-527914 was instructed to stand in front of SCP-XXXY, and not to retract to anything SCP-XXXY might say, or do. SCP-XXXY was instructed to throw the ball from Test-153-18 (Which according to SCP-XXXY, never left it's cell, despite personal removing the ball) squarely at D-527914, and told that she would catch it. SCP-XXXY raised it's arm, and mimicked a throwing motion towards D-527914. A few moments later, SCP-XXXY reacted in embarrassment, apologizing to D-527914, claiming to have hit her in the face. Despite D-527914 being unharmed, and not interacting with SCP-XXXY, the subject was observed to have a completely animate brief conversation with D-527914, in which SCP-XXXY claims to have briefly joked about the foundation, and their "overly cruel tests". When asked later by researchers, D-527914 claimed that "it sounded like something [she] would have said.

Addendum-01

Addendum-02; Incident Eloi-4-XXXY

On ██/██/2012, during jointesting with SCP-███, in which [DATA EXPUNGED], D-58326 was terminated by SCP-███, due to reasons unrelated to SCP-XXXY in any way. SCP-XXXY however, blamed itself for the results, later expressing guilt for the failure of the test, and hoping that D-58326 would survive. SCP-XXXY was not aware that D-58326 had already died, and later, when Dr. Redeker entered SCP-XXXY's chamber, SCP-XXXY expressed distress and sadness at learning of D-58326's demise. Dr. Redeker simply nodded at SCP-XXXY's statement, leaving SCP-XXXY without saying anything else. Dr. Redeker had neglected to inform SCP-XXXY of D-58326's death, even though SCP-XXXY had already reacted to Dr. Redeker doing so. The following result, seems to have caused SCP-XXXY to shift once more, into a different timeline or reality.

Ever since Incident Eloi-4-XXXY, SCP has not reacted to any kind of stimuli from foundation personnel, including conversation, physical pain, or SCP-███, which had been used before in testing with SCP-XXXY. At several times during the day, SCP-XXXY is observed to have animate conversations with persons not seen by the foundation. Most of the time SCP-XXXY is observed to be conversing with what it thinks, to be Dr. Redeker. A list of some of these recorded interactions can be found below.

Tests are still ongoing to determine whether or not SCP-XXXY can be shifted once more into another reality, or whether the affect caused by Incident Eloi-4-XXXY is permanent.
