The anomaly at first sighting

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a locked containment cell at all times with solid walls no thinner than 20 centimeters. It must be provided with at least 7 separate flowering plants, in near or full bloom.
When personnel enter, they must be wearing no less than four flowers visibly on their person; one on the back, one on the chest, and one on each shoulder such that one flower can be viewed from any angle. Some personnel have taken to wearing more, with no ill effects.
SCP-XXXX is currently kept in Site-17.

Description: A black, crystalline humanoid that appears to be made from polished obsidian. Female features. SCP-XXXX is 152 centimeters in height and floats roughly 30 centimeters off the ground, though it has risen higher on occasion. Personnel have reported “calming feelings” in its presence. Prolonged exposure to SCP-XXXX is deemed dangerous (see Addendum #2).
Dr. ████ has requested that SCP-XXXX be allowed to roam the facility freely. Though his proposed safety measures would likely be effective, his request was denied.

Discovery Log: Though there are often reports of missing people in forested areas, ███████ National Forest has been of particular interest lately. When we received reports of an entire wedding going missing, field agents were dispatched to join local police in the investigation. Though bodies were found, there was no obvious cause of death. SCP-XXXX was discovered by one of the field agents, who took a picture and called in the coordinates. Determining that the anomalous being was distant enough from the bodies, local police were allowed to recover the wedding party and the search teams were called off. A field containment team was dispatched to secure the anomaly.
Upon arrival, the field containment team discovered that SCP-XXXX is attracted to flowers and will attack if there are no flowers between the anomaly and a person.
Agents Fry and Reid were declared dead in the field.
Autopsy reports on the wedding party and on the agents indicated that there was a loss of oxygen to the brain. Cause of death in all cases was listed as hypoxia.

Addendum #1: Containment Testing

Number of blooms inside the containment cell is increased, one at a time. With each addition, SCP-XXXX behaves less erratically in the chamber. At 7 flowers, SCP-XXXX no longer attempts to breach containment.

Addendum #2: Subject Testing
Testing has been done with several Class-D personnel. Results have been summarized here. Upon testing, it was discovered that a proximity of 5 meters (unobstructed by walls thicker than 20 centimeters) caused the subject’s serotonin and dopamine levels to rise. Continued exposure caused the subject’s heart rate to slow to 30bpm within 4 hours.
Each subject was given the same amount of sleep and exercise, as well as the same meals, during the week leading up to their test.
Each test was ended when the subject lost consciousness, at times listed below.
Subject A: 3h 32m
Subject B: 3h 19m
Subject C: 3h 22m
Subject D: 1h 41m
Subject E: 3h 28m
Subject F: 3h 35m
Subject G: 4h 56m
Each subject, when resuscitated, mentioned dreams of wandering in places that they haven’t seen before. In each dream, these places were abandoned. The subjects also mentioned the smell of rotting flesh, but none reported seeing any corpses – human or otherwise.
As Subject D was being removed from the containment cell, he underwent sudden convulsions and his vitals dropped. During attempted resuscitation, the subject excreted a brown gel from the mouth and eyes that carried the stench of rotting flesh. Subject C claimed that the gel smelled the same as the smell in her dream (subjects A and B had been administered their monthly amnestics). Further investigation discovered that the excretion was similar to that described in test documents from SCP-093.
There is no evidence as to why Subject D reacted differently.
A connection with E-093 is being investigated.
When questioning Subject G it was revealed that the subject had eaten chocolate earlier that day, against instructions. Further testing is ongoing.
