CURRENT POSITION : Junior Staff in two teams : Community Outreach (formerly in the Introductions Team (May 2019-April 2020), currently in the Site News Team (since August 2019)) and MAST (while I do the tagging, the updating of O5 pages and, when needed, the addition of Wikiwalk footers).

WHAT I HAVE DOING : - I welcomed more than 110 people in the Explorers, Writers and Rewiewers Threads for all the time I was on this team.

- I have been present in O5 for responding to the majority of the Discussion Threads created since my incredible increase of power I had moving up.

- Not really Staff work, but I made a Spotify playlist for the canon Stealing Solidarity, to replace the former Grooveshark link (who's dead). Link in the "Comments" section, still don't know if I can put that directly on the hub put that in the hub since many months, had to update it.

- Made changes in Staff Hubs for reflect who is active or not. I had jumping the gun on this one, but fortunately, I had broke nothing. Anyway, that learned me to not going too fast.

- Sometimes, I can gave critique in the forums. Here's the Sandbox of the Flight when I served as an Officer. You will find here the links of 41 crits I made on a period of 2 weeks, which is a perfect example of what I can do. It's also possible to see on deletion pages feedback of mine on deleted works.

- I've recently joined Collections Team and spent a part of my time reading Tales and help classifying them (addition of keywords and writing of little synopsis for each one).

- My activity on my different Teams : In the Introductions Team, I do this, basically, alone since some months. I can do between 25 & 35 responses to intro posts. These last months, for personal reasons, I'd made less, but these times, my mood is better and I can do more "welcome" posts again. This part is now irrelevant, because I've stepped down.

In Site News Team, I'm able to do my part of the News in some hours, no more than one day. In MAST, I often help my fellow Staffs. I generally apply tags in 3 articles per day (I can do more or less, it depends). I do sometimes updates on O5 pages, check "Recent Changes" (the three first pages) if you want to see. And when it's needed, I add Wikiwalk footers. I can generally do it in some hours or one day, so pretty fast.

- My potential weaknesses : Like I said above, there's some times when I jumped the gun in the past, when I made some actions too fast or without totally understanding. But I'd realized that and I think that I'd improved myself in a good way.

Madam,

After several months dedicated to the observation of multiple instances of the newly-designated SCP-5500, here is our first report with all the conclusions our team had arrived to. As you are aware, six months ago, despite the calculations produced by our predictive models, the sudden manifestation of several 5500 instances around the world caused widespread panic at several Sites. Fortunately, all the instances, thanks to our inter-branches cooperation plan, have been contained.

Due to the unprecedented number of over 300 instances, the decision was made to separate and assign them in multiple Sites (currently, two or three groups of 5500 instances are contained for each Site). Not to mention the difficulty in containing each instance. Special measures would be an understatement.

This situation will probably remind you of the actions perpetrated by the first 5500 instance. But, unlike the conclusions made at the time (during the era of "The Duck Man" shenanigans, our understanding of the concepts of pataphysics and meta-fiction was very poor and many former members had always refused, by heavy skepticism, to consider that other human beings had created them), the instances of 5500 do not just have a conceptual link that allows them to know too much about us, they are the same individuals who created us and many universes.

But, as we had assumed, they are not gods. The only way for them to change our world is to be on their computers and type. Take their computers away from them and they lose their link to our world. During the interviews with the instances, it was extremely clear that being here was more surprising for them than it was for us. But they were aware of the situation and had given all the information they could. At least, for those who are responsible for the creation of Groups of Interest, anomalies and alternate realities.

The task became more difficult when we learned of something called "headcanons" which we believe are the reason why so many alternate universes exist in our databases, at least throughout this last decade. Authors appear to have conflicting visions about how the Foundation or the Groups of Interest operate, our view of the anomalous, about the origins of the SCP Foundation, and which projects earn the "right" to exist… I will not deny that my team had a difficult time and some headaches when we were trying to piece together all the information.

For the rest, they had shown a professional attitude; some of them were even amiable towards personnel. Due to the relatively low risk of a complete failure of the Veil protocol after the SCP-5500 event, its corresponding documentation has been released for viewing by Level 4 personnel as well. The authors/instances are fully aware of the disastrous consequences that might have followed should the event have spiralled out of control. Some of them had even explicitly stated that they wished to not be too much "in the spotlight", in their words.

One of the main questions we had during the study of 5500 was their relation to anomalies. A proposal was made involving crosstesting between the creators and their respective anomalies, in order to gauge their reactions. I would advise against it, as the authors themselves may have no unique abilities. Even though the death of the author may result in the dissipation/demanifestation of their own creations, we will also lose invaluable information and personnel, a risk we are not ready to take.

Furthermore, the recordings of many interviews had shown that instances can feel pity, compassion or sympathy for most of the anomalies, especially the humanoid ones. And even if they are aware of the fact that they would be unable to escape, the risk of seeing them befriending other anomalies and trying to "help" them by any means is, again, too huge. That is not including the fact that the Foundation had used the same containment procedures which had been used for "The Duck Man" (as a reminder, we had determined that using the individual numbers of each instance needs to be used only when we are in presence of only one, the use of pseudonyms is recommended when speaking to multiple instances) : we had allowed them to have books, CDs and a computer for each collective cell. Of course, these containment procedures are a strict exception.

For the actual observations, this was the simplest task. The containment of the authors has significantly slowed activity on the website (the individual computer for each group had also helped) but that does not mean it has entirely stopped. We have pinned the number of reality restructuring events at six per day, between the anomalies who appear, those who are erased, the discovery of new timelines or alternate universes, the learning of Foundation-related projects that nobody was planning the day before… everything change really fast and we need to be careful at all times (which require all the attention of our archivists and the Pataphysics Department).

Another interesting observation about the general behavior of the 5500 instances is the way they see the SCPs : while we see them as the unusual objects they always been, they analyze what they are with a critical eye often consistent with that of an established author, generating confusion at times (the first time we have talked about anomalies, the use of terms like "cliche", "overpowered" or "murder monster" had greatly confused us, as well as their explanations about their system of votes, which is the only way some anomalies are erased).

The apparitions of SCP-5500 instances have ceased since 2 months (but there's many reasons to believe that this stagnation is just temporary) and for what we have seen (despite the difficulties stated above), these first results are exceptional and I already mentioned that the instances are unlikely to escape or "betray" the Foundation, due to their non-anomalous nature. But I should warn the Council about the fact that some rumors about the authors and the development of anomalous attributes (for example, one of these say that an administrator of the website now had butterfly wings reaching maturation on her back). These rumors should not be trusted and, if necessary, investigations will be led but, for now, it is more important to continue our studies.

Of course, I understand that the better course of action would be to take down the website and detain any involved individuals in containment cells, but it is too resource intensive to entirely contain them, and we need their cooperation in order to accomplish our goals. Theoretically, if the website ever stops, everything that every person in this universe that has been ever done will slowly decay, leading to a ZK-Class Event. If they are killed, the same situation will happen. We will disappear just a little faster.

And the most important thing is : now that the Foundation knows that everything is fictional, what will happen? It is a common trope, in any sense, to see and depict humans who, as soon as they learn their condition of fictional characters, become clinically insane or nihilistic. Even if this point of view can appear as understandable, it is also something which hide the fact that there are still goals and missions to accomplish. Even if humanity is fiction, it is still here and our mission of protecting it remains unchanged in the face of crisis. Even if we control nothing and even if, during our history, there were failures, the victories and acknowledgements we had are still here and will not disappear only because other persons created all that. It is why we need to acknowledge all these new parameters but stay focused on our mission.

I hope that this mail and the conclusions of the first studies gave you a broader perspective of the new perspectives and challenges the Foundation will have to face as of now. For further questions, my team and I are at the entire disposition of the Council and the Ethics Committee. Of course, the authors are also available. They know they can't refuse.
