The Pool, is 18x20x?m (60x66x? Ft) pool of what appears to be a water like substance but is more blue, almost like a crayon blue. It has been commonly seen to be moved.
It was discovered when a CCTV camera at a local pool in ████. When a elder appeared to slip into the water and not come up. While the CCTV camera was being watched a rescue team went into the pool and never came out. After that the CCTV camera was set back up. The footage showed the water moving with no wind and becoming darker and lighter at random intervals. When all the sudden the camera shut down and the screen went blank. When discovered it was covered in a dark blue substance like the pool water but it was hardened.
This “pool” has been seen to wrap around any living or dangerous substance and begin to harden and dissolve anything it touches. Although this was originally useless it has been found to be of great use to contain the Wither Worm. It appears to counteract the skin of the Worm, allowing it to stay undamaged. If any contact is made with the surface of the liquid it will begin to grow on the object and harden almost instantly. No retrieval of any object (or personnel) has been successful. This defense is almost like an animals way of saying back of, as it will begin to spray a light mist of itself onto the object almost as a warning before it touches its surface.
This SCP does need substance or else it will begin to shrink down until it is the size of a atom we’re it will begin to absorb other molecules and regrow. It is most commonly “fed” light greens and some meet crumbs (because meet seems to make it grow more). The portion of The Pool that is covering the Wither Worm does not need to be fed as it has appeared to have a symbiotic relationship with it.
It is contained inside a enclosed room in a clear bullet proof glass. It has to be replaced every week as The Pool will be decaying slowly. The group of it containing Wither Worm is more neutral and does not try to break out. It seems to be contempt with its situation.
