Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in
Description: SCP-XXXX is a Telefunken Gavotte 8 Export radio1. This particular make was popular during the mid-20th century. On the back of SCP-XXXX is the word “RHONDA” written in white marker. When one is either within a 3.6m radius of the object or physically interacts with it, a message will be telepathically transferred to the subject’s mind. Subjects affected by SCP-XXXX will be able to vividly remember the sequence no matter how complicated, long or seemingly random it may be. This code will stay on the subject’s mind for approximately 12 to 16 hours; after this time the code will be completely forgotten. However, even after this, if shown the code after this time they will have the ability to remember it in full.
Upon initial containment the object would send codes in Vigenère ciphers, a cipher where a specific keyword, or password, is needed in order to solve it via a 26x26 grid of letters. Each encrypted message received by SCP-XXXX used “RHONDA” as a password. However, in recent years, SCP-XXXX has used different codes in order to send its messages.
Discovery: SCP-XXXX was discovered in an antique shop located in ███████, Delaware. The store owner, Mr. J██████ Foster, had informed agents on the scene that he had been having sudden bouts of these codes being transmitted with no idea of the source. (SEE ADDENDUM SCP-XXXX-3)

SCP-XXXX: YES ALTHOUGH MY NAME IS RHONDADr. Garrison: I am afraid we must refer to you by your item number. Not my choice, but I must obey the guidelines I have been given.

Dr. Garrison: I’m afraid we cannot divulge that information just yet. Perhaps in due time.
SCP-XXXX: OKAY
Dr. Garrison: Alright, moving on. You’re aware of your current situation, correct?
SCP-XXXX: YOU HAVE SAID I AM STUCK IN A RADIO
Dr. Garrison: Exactly. We’re here to fix your predicament however, or at the very least attempt to understand how it came to be. Now, a while back you stated that you were not inside a radio? Could you tell us where you seem to be?
SCP-XXXX: I AM IN MY HUSBANDS [sic] RECORDING STUDIO THE DOOR IS STUCK
Dr. Garrison: Studio? As in a radio studio?

Dr. Garrison: How many years do you think?
SCP-XXXX: DECADES
Dr. Garrison: Interesting. I presume you don’t need food, water or anything similar?
SCP-XXXX: NO I FEEL FINE ALSO
Dr. Garrison: As in no hunger or thirst? And no depletion of energy?
SCP-XXXX: NO
Dr. Garrison: Well, that’s a good sign. Did you have any experience with radio equipment before you found yourself stuck where you are?
SCP-XXXX: NO BUT I LEARNT AND ALL MY YEARS OF KNOWLEDGE STAY WITH ME
Dr. Garrison: Even though you only feel like you’ve been here for a few hours?
SCP-XXXX: YES IT IS LIKE A RESET OF SORTS
Dr. Garrison: A reset? Could you explain?
