Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: The Artifact is to be contained within a lock box with a pin code access. Pin code only to be shared with immediate test subjects with approval of level 4 personnel.
SCP-XXXX-1 is to either be exterminated or held on containment site-82-C.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a series of 50 .3m x .2m x 1cm sheets of an unknown metal, carved into them is an unknown language. The artifact appears to behave as a translator though documentation of the words and their meaning have proven difficult as photos of the artifacts become black.
When a subject begins reading the tablets they are then to be referred to as SCP-XXXX-1. During initial testing there appeared to be no obvious effects until 20-22 hours, after this point SCP-XXXX-1 will begin to slowly start speaking in the unknown language, after a week to two weeks SCP-XXXX-1 will speak entirely in this language. Prolonged exposure to the artifact appear to speed up these effects.
Over the course of the next few days, SCP-XXXX-1 will begin to grow feathers and begin to exhibit animalistic behavior such as digging. On day five the subject will have been completely covered in feathers and will have grown abnormally shaped hands, feet, and jaw. On day ten the subject will have shrunk an incredible size to around only 50-90 cm high and appear to look like a semi human bird, DNA testing has revealed it to be closely related to the Corvus Corax.
[UPDATE] The Artifact appears to change the base language dependant upon the first language of who is viewing it.
