Camera footage from the inside of SCP-4081

Object Class: Euclid Keter

Special Containment Procedures: Due to SCP-4081's location and its place on a major highway system located in the state of ████████, containment is a challenge. However, due to tests on the subject and research on its interaction with objects traveling at 10 mph or more, minimal protection is needed asides from a mock construction site setup. Currently, the only required containment is a setup of three trailers on the roadside along with 4 armed guards wearing police gear. They will be armed with either P-90s or M16s. Each guard will carry the appropriate rounds of ammo for each gun along with a similar clip for the gun containing a small number of antimatter rounds to be used only in the direst of circumstances. There will be a frequent switching of test subjects, Two D-Class personnel, that will rotate every 2 weeks and will subsequently be psychologically evaluated to determine if any detrimental effects occur from long term exposure to the SCP-4081. All information recorded from these evaluations will be put into this case log. There will also be a pair of permanent researchers on site (Dr. Tam and Dr. ████). They will be stationed at this SCP-4081 until it disappears, is neutralized, or is cleared by the O5 council for minor surveillance.

Description: SCP-4081 is a space-time anomaly occurring on a certain point on a ████████ highway. Basic description states that it would most likely be a rift or a “wormhole” (Further research disproves this theory). When entered it appears to be the highway except the cars are immobile, almost like an picture. The anomalous part of SCP-4081 comes from its unique effect on movement. When inside SCP-4081 if you begin walking you never get closer to the horizon even though from your perspective you are moving. The farther you walk inside SCP-4081 the landscape warps for some unknown reason. No lifeforms have been discovered that inhabit SCP-4081(Further Research Needed).

The anomaly only affects objects moving at 10 mph or lower, which would explain why it wasn’t discovered until a hitchhiker, named Jeff ███, disappeared on that exact point. This caused a large scale search and rescue by local police. Somehow, the foundation caught wind of the search and send MTF Shortband to investigate. When they arrived {Data Expunged}. These events led to the investigation of the anomaly.

SCP-4081 seems to behave like described in this recording from D-Class personnel (D-874) when sent in by Dr. Tam to give a basic description of the environment.

Test A - Date: 5/17/18

Subject: D-874
Procedure: D-874 is being sent into the anomaly, wearing a tether, a head camera, and a headset. He has been informed to describe what he sees to Dr. Tam.
Proctor: Dr. Tam
Video Transcript:
Dr. Tam: "Ok 874 you may now enter the anomaly."
Dr. Tam: "Describe what you see."
D-874: "It looks like the highway Doc."
Dr. Tam: "Try walking forward."
(874 begins walking forward)
D-874: "Looks normal to me Doc. This seems fucking useless."
Dr. Tam: "Aim your camera at the horizon and keep moving forward."
(The film continues for a solid 5 minutes with no sounds other than the D-class's footsteps and the occasional gust of wind)
Dr. Tam: "874 have you noticed anything?"
D-874: "Yes."
Dr. Tam: "Describe in detail what you see."
D-874: "It seems like I'm moving but the horizon doesn't get any closer."
Dr. Tam: "Interesting? Anything else?"
D-874: "The landscape has changed."
Dr. Tam: "How?"
D-874: "All the trees and grass have been warped in some way. They almost resemble tentacles."
Dr. Tam: "Possibly a side effect of light distortion?"
D-874: "Maybe. I really don’t know about that kind of thing. They seem a bit more alive."
(Mild video distortion begins)
Dr. Tam: "Huh. Something seems wrong with the Camera."
Dr. Tam: "Everything ok on your end 874?"
D-874: "Yeah everything is fine."
(All of a sudden 847 starts screaming)
D-874: "OH SHIT DOC! MY EARS! AAAHHH!"
(An incredibly high-pitched noise overwhelms the audio along with the video suddenly distorting)
(You can here 874 sobbing hysterically and wailing in the background)
Dr. Tam: "874 What’s wrong?! 874 respond!"
(Dr. Tam inaudibly yells something to one of the guards, which is assumed to have been "Reel in his harness.")
(D-874’s camera feed cuts out)
(At this point D-874’s tether is pulled and his corpse is pulled out of SCP-874)
{End Log}
Analysis: The following experiment led to the introduction of Dr. ████ to the site as well as the addition of the assigned guards carrying antimatter clips.

Autopsy Report - Date: 5/19/18

Subject: This report covers the autopsy of D-874 after his exploration and subsequent death inside of SCP-4081. The corpse was kept in a cryogenic environment for 2 days as it was transported to site ██. The autopsy was performed by Dr. Weathers, a recent addition to the SCP foundation's medical staff.
Procedure: Typical procedure for autopsies was used. However, severe damage to the patient's cranium caused an issue with certain normal processes.
Report:
First Look
At a quick glance D-874 appears to have had one main issue, that issue being that his head has been blown to pieces, apparently from the inside-out.
Pulmonary System
The patient's pulmonary system appears to have undergone a unique process unlike any I've ever seen. His blood appeared to have coagulated thoroughly throughout his entire body causing all of his blood-related organs to solidify.
[Cause: Unknown]
Respiratory System
His lungs have both ruptured in the same place.
[Cause: Unknown]
Nervous System
Considering that his brain is missing, the only notable damage is a solid split down his entire spinal cord.
[Cause: Unknown]
Skeletal System
Somehow all of his bones shattered and split in multiple places. Appears as if his soft tissue in his body ruptured, including marrow. Cracks in the bone seem to have originated from the inside.
[Cause: Unknown]
Final Look
His body (or at least what's left of it) seems to have gone under an intense amount of pressure originating inside of his body. The only thing I've seen similar to this is a tone of such a decibel and frequency that caused people's ears, noses, and eyes to bleed. It is unknown what caused this damage but I would advise avoiding it at all costs.
[Cause of Death: Unknown]
{End Report}

Projectile Movement Test - Date: 6/5/18

Subject: D-941
Procedure: D-941 will be sent into SCP-4081 again to study the movement of objects in this anomaly. She will have an audio-free video feed and a harness like D-874 but will not be asked to walk very far inside.
Proctor: Dr. ████
Video Analysis:
(Video begins as D-941 enters SCP-4081)
(She pauses to take one of 5 objects she was given out of her bag, the first object being a simple baseball)
(She throws the baseball with great force and the result is confusing. The baseball appears to at first whip through the air at normal speed, but then suddenly freezes in mid-air and drops)
(She removes the pistol from her pack)
(D-941 loads, cocks, and fires the pistol)
(The bullet zooms through the air like any other bullet and does not behave like the ball)
(The video continues showing her try the spear, rock, and throwing knife with varying degrees of success)
(The spear goes farther than the ball but eventually succumbs to the same behavior of the ball)
(The rock behaves like the ball)
(The knife behaves like the spear)
(D-941 then goes to retrieve the items, but somehow she is unable to reach them, as they are always just too far away)
(Suddenly, the video corrupts)
{End Log}
Analysis: The subsequent psychological evaluation given to D-941 shows that while inside SCP-4081 she began to feel a crushing weight on her chest and intense pain in her head. She also said that while she was inside she began hearing strange noises and seeing spots in her vision. Under a normal diagnosis, she would have developed some form of immediate schizophrenia. She was placed under close surveillance on site ██ and now has been given the name of SCP-4081-1.

Addendum: SCP-4081-1 has died in her cell from some form of intense seizure. Video surveillance shows that she appeared to try and tear her eyeballs from her eye sockets an hour before her death.
