Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid-impetus Keter-impetus
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained at Site-███ in a large humanoid containment cell. Personnel caring for SCP-XXXX are required to wear protective clothing. Standard Foundation-issue security helmets are ineffective at preventing mental absorption, yet airtight Level A hazmat suits have proven to be effective in slightly impeding the telepathic effects of SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX is to be provided with the basic amenities for a child of its physical age by protected personnel. Food should be supplied in mashed form due to SCP-XXXX's lack of teeth.
Personnel are to be reminded that SCP-XXXX is not to be interacted with outside of regular maintenance or interviews. All items entering a 1km radius, known henceforth as Zone Charlie, of SCP-XXXX's containment chamber are to be checked by staff at checkpoints Pi and Omicron. Weaponry, armed or otherwise, is forbidden in Zone Charlie as a result of Incident XXXX-A. Security personnel are to be stationed at checkpoints Pi and Omicron in case of a containment breach. Lockers for disallowed items are to be placed outside of SCP-XXXX's potential reach in case of it escaping Zone Charlie.
Personnel who have become SCP-XXXX-1 specimens during a containment breach will be marked as Class-E, and re-educated to their previous developmental level if possible. SCP-XXXX-1 specimens that have been fully absorbed are to be destroyed as soon as possible.
Due to SCP-XXXX being physically weak, physical force is to be used as a last resort for recontainment.
As a result of Incident-XXXX-B, SCP-XXXX's containment chamber is to be directly connected to the hydrogen chloride gas transfer system. This gas is intended to kill and therefore neutralize SCP-XXXX if it mentally advances too sufficiently for any meaningful containment procedures to be executed. In case of a failed hydrogen fluoride neutralization action, Site-███ is to be evacuated and all hydrogen fluoride vents throughout it will be activated. If the latter procedure fails, no further action will be necessary.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a female, Caucasian Homo sapiens infant that is physically 10 months of age, with blonde hair in pigtails, a mass of 8kg and a height of 74.09 cm. Personnel recovered the specimen from a trailer park in █████ County, [REDACTED], United States of America after reports of mass mental deficiency spontaneously arising among the [REDACTED] trailer park's population. While being transported to Site-███, personnel began experiencing similar effects to what was reported in the trailer park.
SCP-XXXX appears to "absorb" the mental development of unprotected Homo sapiens, increasing its intelligence and maturity at the expense of its victim. Those affected by SCP-XXXX, henceforth referred to as SCP-XXXX-1, gain a mental deficiency of an amount that varies depending on SCP-XXXX exposure time. If a human subject is exposed to SCP-XXXX for over 2 hours, their mental absorption will be completed. Subjects who have been fully absorbed are [DATA EXPUNGED].
SCP-XXXX's motor, language and cognitive skills have consistently been much greater than other children of the same age. Upon recovery, it had taught itself skills not normally present in humans its age, such as using a flushing toilet, reading in the English language, and solving complex problems and puzzles. While in containment, it has taught itself Mandarin Chinese, Arabic and Spanish supposedly by hearing conversations between researchers, won most strategy games, such as chess and Go, offered to it, and successfully nullified the security of two previous containment chambers.
As of yet, it is not known how much SCP-XXXX's intelligence can increase. Physically, SCP-XXXX has not grown at all since being contained - yet it is currently 19 years of age and celebrated its most recent birthday on 25/4/2021. Each year, it has managed to stage an elaborate party involving fully absorbed SCP-XXXX-1 specimens of unknown origin as guests. SCP-XXXX refused to elaborate on where these specimens came from when it was asked about their presence.
