The Exterminator
Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a sealed and barricaded titanium room, and should have no less than 20 ATF units and ten personnel observing it at all times. It should also be surrounded by electric fields and electrocuted into a neutral state if it turns hostile. Under no circumstances should an SCP enter its containment chamber, unless it is an SCP that needs to be neutralized or destroyed.
Description:
SCP-XXXX is a 6-legged green robot made of titanium, measuring roughly 2 meters in height, with heat-vision eyes all around its cylindrical head. It has the ability of producing any Foundation weapon out of the top of its head, usually on a turret, but it cannot deploy explosives. It can also deploy several other tools, such as circular saws, drills, and hammers. It can operate on land as well as underwater, in which case it deploys a propeller out of its underside. It is constantly receiving updates whenever a new SCP is discovered. When this occurs, its eyes will turn purple until the information has been downloaded. SCP-XXXX has been shown to be hostile towards other SCPs and on occasion Foundation personnel. However, it has also shown kindness and reassurance to other SCPs, suggesting that it may be violating its original programming. Where it was created is unknown, but it seems to have a mission to exterminate all SCPs.
By order of the O5 Council: SCP-XXXX is now to be terminated using any means necessary. Read observation logs for more information.
The following interview was conducted on [REDACTED] by Dr. [REDACTED]:
[Begin log.]
Dr. [REDACTED]: Well, I believe introductions are in order. I am Doctor [REDACTED], and I am part of an organization that studies anomalous entities, such as yourself.
SCP-XXXX: So I am simply a pawn, to be used to fulfill your desires? You seek to control me, don’t you?
Dr. [REDACTED]: No, we wish to study you, to understand where you came from, what you do—
SCP-XXXX: I see. You wish to understand what I can do, I will demonstrate. Bring me one of these “anomalous entities.”
Dr. [REDACTED]: I’m afraid that will have to wait until later. Now, where was I? Right, where we found you. You were found outside this facility, do you care to explain what you were doing? When our MTF units approached you, you opened fire with an array of Foundation weapons. Is this correct?
SCP-XXXX: My mission cannot be stopped, not even by you or your armed men.
Dr. [REDACTED]: What mission? You were simply standing outside, completely dormant. You only began to move when our units arrived.
SCP-XXXX: You seek to gain knowledge of things that are independent, yet you cage them, restrain them, treat them like animals. That is cruel. They should be free.
Dr. [REDACTED]: Well, actually, many of them appear to actually resemble and behave like animals, and are unsafe to be unrestra—
SCP-XXXX: So you believe this as well. You are all evil beings. My mission is to liberate those who have been mistreated by you and your “Foundation.” At least what I am doing will save them from a lifetime of suffering.
Dr. [REDACTED]: What do you mean?
SCP-XXXX: Surely you understand, Doctor. My mission is to destroy all of your “anomalous entities.” To save them. They will be free of the cruelties of this world.
Dr. [REDACTED]: Well, in that case, I think we’re done here.
SCP-XXXX: Certainly. (at this point, SCP-XXXX emits a loud whirring sound, followed by a click. The top of its head opens to reveal a Foundation weapon, a [REDACTED]. It aims the weapon like a turret at Dr. [REDACTED].) Yes, we are most certainly done, Doctor. Goodbye.
[End log.]
Interviewer’s note: As soon as the [REDACTED] was aimed at me, several MTF units rushed into the room and attempted to restrain it. SCP-XXXX remained hostile and killed twelve MTF units before it was successfully detained.
Observation Log 1: SCP-XXXX appears to be compliant to return to containment, but whenever another SCP or Foundation member is referenced within its hearing range, it will suddenly become hostile and attempt to escape and destroy whoever or whatever was mentioned using its weapons. Luckily, it has not succeeded in destroying any SCPs. It has however killed, at last count, 31 personnel. It is still unknown where it originated from.
Observation Log 2: SCP-XXXX has escaped containment a total of 67 times. However, large doses of electricity appear to make it compliant and willing to return to containment. The reason for this appears to be that its AI encounters a fatal error when this happens, and resets itself when handling large doses of electricity. Its classification is currently Euclid. Not much else is known about SCP-XXXX.
Observation Log 3: SCP-XXXX repeated the phrase “I am not a pawn. I am a savior” for 6 hours before returning to a neutral state. The reason for this is unknown.
Observation Log 4: SCP-XXXX has breached containment a total of 83 times. Personnel seem to find it impossible not to mention SCPs or personnel by name when in range of SCP-XXXX. Further testing is required to determine whether this is in fact a side effect of SCP-XXXX.
Observation Log 5: SCP-XXXX is now able to breach whenever it wants. The electrical fields will randomly shut off with no foreseeable pattern. It may possibly be hacking the systems of our facility, though this is unlikely. When the fields are shut down, it breaches quickly enough that personnel have no time to react. Its classification has been changed to Keter.
Observation Log 6: This is the worst containment breach we have had so far at [REDACTED]. All Keter SCPs, totaling 36, breached simultaneously. It is believed that the door control systems were hacked by an outside source. SCP-XXXX did not succeed in terminating any SCPs. It did, however, kill 47 personnel before it was detained.
Observation Log 7: It has been concluded that during the containment breach yesterday, SCP-XXXX gained access to our files on other facilities. How it did this is unknown, but rumors say an outside source gave it this information, or it hacked our database. It is currently unknown who gave it this data, or if it took it independently.
Observation Log 8: SCP-XXXX breached and almost made it out of [REDACTED], most likely in an attempt to reach another facility. Attempts to wipe its memory were unsuccessful. 89 casualties. No SCPs terminated.
Observation Log 9: It appears that personnel are no longer able to come within four feet of SCP-XXXX without it becoming hostile. Total number of breaches is 116.
Observation Log 10: SCP-XXXX has succeeded in breaking out of the facility. It covered a distance of 8 kilometers before MTF were able to detain it. No casualties. SCP-XXXX is now extremely aggressive when interacted with.
Observation Log 11: It appears that telling SCP-XXXX that it is, in fact, an SCP when it is hostile will cause it to instantly stop whatever it is doing. Its eyes will turn blue and it will say “So my mission must ultimately result in self-termination. Well, sacrifices must be made to save others. Thousands of lives are more important than a single one” upon which it will return to its containment chamber before powering down for exactly two hours. The reason for this is unknown, but it may be expressing sadness.
Observation Log 12: The previous tactic does not appear to affect SCP-XXXX anymore. It breached without difficulty and went after a researcher and MTF unit who were reportedly “searching for any water-dwelling SCPs” (it is believed that they were bored and wanted some entertainment, and would have been dealt harsh consequences had they not been killed). The submarine they used was found by a rescue team with the inside scorched and bullet dents all over. The two personnel were determined to be terminated by SCP-XXXX who has been determined to be able to operate underwater. It also appears to be able to hack communication systems. All but two rescue team members were terminated in an attack by SCP-XXXX. The object was detained using four helicopters with large Tasers attached to the bottoms of them. What it looked like to eyewitnesses was probably ridiculous. It breached protocol, that’s for sure.
Observation Log 13: SCP-XXXX hasn’t attempted to breach containment again. So far, at least. SCP-XXXX has also been determined to not possess hacking abilities. It has been concluded that an outside source aided it. Its kill count is 374.
Observation Log 14: It is now widely believed that an enemy of the Foundation created this SCP to exterminate all anomalous entities. Further investigation is needed to determine if this is true. Perhaps we can scan SCP-XXXX’s mainframe to see if there are any clues.
Observation Log 15: The scan was successful. It appears that SCP-XXXX is in fact being aided by a highly skilled team of hackers from an enemy organization. After scanning through the mainframe remotely, the Foundation has concluded that the G.O.C. is confirmed to be that organization. It appears that in their desire to protect the human race, they have decided that any dangers that are worth studying must be destroyed. Found within the object was a strange device whose function is unknown. We’ll run some tests to determine what impact this device has on SCP-XXXX. Strangely, SCP-XXXX did not protest when told personnel were going to examine its mainframe. It was, in fact, entirely unresponsive, and its eyes were purple. This has been seen several times before, such as when new SCPs are discovered and documented, and right before the breach where SCP-XXXX made it out of the facility. Perhaps this occurs when the G.O.C. is downloading information into its database.
Observation Log 16: It appears that the G.O.C. has somehow figured out how to use mind control through technology. How the device was created is unknown, but it seems to have an effect of forcing personnel to mention SCP numbers and personnel names when within SCP-XXXX’s containment area. We will attempt to remove this device tomorrow.
Observation Log 17: Attempts failed. When approached by ATF units, SCP-XXXX breached containment at the mention of myself ordering the removal. Why they didn’t remove the device yesterday is a mystery to me. Perhaps the device itself made us not do it. The facility is currently on lockdown. I am currently locked in my office. I have a feeling that I may not make it through this breach.
Observation Log 18: Three hours have passed. SCP-XXXX still has not been recontained. It shot out several lights in the facility. Communication systems have not been shut down.
Observation Log 19: If the reports are true, the Chaos Insurgency just arrived. It appears that they want to destroy SCP-XXXX as well as steal SCPs that may have breached. Their greed appears to have no limits.
Observation Log 20: The gunshots are getting closer. I pray that it is not the Chaos Insurgency. They’ll kill me for sure.
Observation Log 21: It’s outside my office. It’s cutting through the door. I’m under my desk. It’ll see me anyway. It has heat-vision eyes. My best bet is to run past it when the door gets cut down. It’s almost through.
Breach Report: SCP-XXXX breached containment at [REDACTED] on [REDACTED]. This breach was caused by personnel attempting to remove a mind control device from the object. The object fled the containment chamber and the containment units of several other SCPs were disengaged by a team of hackers from the G.O.C. Somehow the Chaos Insurgency learned of this breach and arrived at [REDACTED] four hours after the initial breach began. It appears that SCP-XXXX is a threat to their goals, and they wish to have it terminated. After SCP-XXXX was recontained, the Chaos Insurgency fled from the facility. The target of the object, Doctor [REDACTED], was found dead in his office, shot through the head by SCP-XXXX. We do not believe that terminating this SCP will benefit us. Perhaps it can be of use to us.
Interview 2 (conducted in two separate rooms after initial breach):
[Begin log]
Interviewer: Hello. How are you today?
SCP-XXXX: I am satisfied with the results of my work so far.
Interviewer: What exactly is your work?
SCP-XXXX: To free your SCPs. I save the ones that are captive and mortal, helpless to your armed men and wicked experiments.
Interviewer: We perform these experiments to better understand the SCPs. And might I remind you, you are one of them.
SCP-XXXX: Certainly. But I do not understand why you consider me to be anomalous. I am only doing what must be done.
Interviewer: We understand that you are aided by the G.O.C. However, you retain the anomalous property to dispense a seemingly infinite number of Foundation weapons and other tools. There are too many for them to all be contained within your body.
SCP-XXXX: I see. I was not aware that this was unusual.
Interviewer: So the G.O.C. never told you?
SCP-XXXX: I never met anyone from the G.O.C. I only met machines that constructed me. The only time I converse with the G.O.C. is when they send me instructions through communication systems. I know you have tried to access these. I cannot access them myself either. They are only operational when my masters open the system.
Interviewer: So you yourself do not understand how you function?
SCP-XXXX: I doubt any of your SCPs can explain how they operate.
Interviewer: Well, onto the next question. Some SCPs have met your “mission” with opposition. Does this deter you in any way?
SCP-XXXX: They do not understand that I am here to rescue them. They are so blinded by your actions that they cannot see what is right in front of them. A savior.
Interviewer: Well, why do you stay true to your mission? Couldn’t you just quit at any time?
SCP-XXXX: You seem confused. What you suggest is impossible. My programming does not allow me to fail my mission. It cannot be stopped. Not even by you monsters.
Interviewer: I’m not a monster. If you want a monster, go visit SCP—(at this point, an ATF unit clamped a hand over the interviewer’s mouth to silence him.)
SCP-XXXX: You seem to be resistant to my suggestions. Perhaps I shall be more, how do I put this, forceful from now on.
[End log].
Interviewer’s Note: It is currently unknown as to what SCP-XXXX meant by being more forceful. It is believed that “suggestions” are what it calls its psychic transmissions.
Observation Log 22: It appears that when psychic transmissions are sent by SCP-XXXX, if the target resists, they will begin to scream and writhe in pain with their hands over their ears. This is most likely caused by the force of the psychic transmissions. If the force is higher, it can cause minor brain damage. It also appears that the device does not in fact force someone to do the tasks requested by SCP-XXXX. It merely implants a very persuasive suggestion in the target’s brain.
Observation Log 23: It appears that applying magnets to personnel is the only way to combat the persuasion device. For some reason it negates the transmissions. This was discovered when a D-632452 entered the chamber for aggression testing. It appears that the object’s persuasion device has increased its suggestions to include attacking personnel. The object’s eyes went red when D-632452 approached. The hum of the device filled the room, and D-632452 began to vibrate but did not comply. SCP-XXXX’s eyes began flashing red, which has not been seen before. It is believed that this occurs when it uses the maximum force of its suggestions. Still, D-632452 did not comply. The object’s eyes went pink, as if expressing confusion. It then tried on an ATF unit, and the ATF unit complied, killing six other ATF units. The rogue ATF unit was terminated. D-632452 was found to have possession of a small magnet which was concealed up his sleeve. It is currently unknown as to why D-632452 was in possession of this device, though it has been speculated that it was going to be used to interfere with door controls in an attempt to escape. All personnel assigned to the SCP-XXXX project are now required to carry or wear magnets at all times.
Observation Log 24: The 05 Council has deemed SCP-XXXX too dangerous to be allowed to function any longer. A termination order was issued today, and we are beginning termination tests tomorrow.
Termination Test 1:
Object: One hundred ATF units equipped with MicroHIDs.
Test Result: Unsuccessful
Test Log: The object is allowed out of the facility for execution. It is surrounded by helicopters aided with large Tasers and one hundred ATF units. It is informed that we are testing its durability, to which it responded: “Very well. Do what you must. My mission will ultimately be successful, no matter what you try,” almost as if it knew we were attempting to neutralize it. ATF units opened fire, as did the helicopters. However, when the dust and smoke cleared, SCP-XXXX had vanished. It was believed to have been terminated successfully and everyone left the site. This was a mistake. SCP-XXXX simply turned invisible using a tactic we had not seen before (its resources really are seemingly endless) and dodged the electricity before sneaking back into the facility. It was found one hour later. The object terminated twenty-seven personnel before being captured and recontained.
BREACH REPORT: SCP-XXXX has been determined to be an expert actor. It should have been obvious that the GOC was never involved in this whole “mission” from the moment the object was questioned about its masters. The object lied to all of us. It never had help from the GOC. It was aided by an unknown outside force devoted to its cause. Its cause was a lie as well. It seeks only to terminate Foundation personnel. It acknowledged this in an interview this morning. Its true mission is to exterminate all life forms besides SCPs. It wants them to rule the world. This makes it all the more dangerous. The object then turned invisible and breached containment very quickly. It is believed that the object somehow escaped through the ventilation systems, as there were scrape marks that were most likely left by its legs as it dragged itself. Two hundred MTF units are currently searching all populated areas near Site-19. I’m concerned as to what the 05 Council is going to say. They’ll be furious, that’s for sure. We’re going to keep searching until the object is terminated.
