Description: SCP-5041 is a parallel dimension only accessible by entering the hallow of a baobab tree in the savanna of Tanzanian,once entered into this dimension you are immediately greeted by a landscape not to distinct from the one you have just left but upon further inspection the ecosystem there consists far more of mega fauna than the earth of our dimension,and is populated by some familiar species such as black rhino,hippo and lion,and at the same time creatures of a far more formidable kind such as large dinosaur like crocodiles who can hunt on land as well as in water and giant birds of pray lord over the sky's.The defining feature of SCP-5041 is that of the most intelligent species of the landscape which are more advanced forms of Africa's great apes which,in the absents of humans, have evolved into independent stone age societies.With further sings that other civilizations have appeared on other parts of the anomaly.Though due to the limited amount of exploration and research of SCP-5041 it is hard to say with any conclusive evidence that the stone age revolution has advanced to that point and scale,from what little evidence we due have we can say that the primates of this version of earth have entered the middle Paleolithic with the use of stone tools and the controlling of fire.They also exhibit sings of forming independent forms of shamanistic religion and culture.
Containment Procedure: A constant watch has been posted to discourage any and all interference with the development of the civilizations of SCP-5041.
History: In the late nineteenth century,A British missionary to the region entered SCP-5041 upon hearing reports from locals of a land of spear waling apes and other fiendish beasts.Believing these rumors to be false and to gain the conversion of the natives,he entered the anomaly and spent 3 days there before coming back in a state of shock with a new found loss of faith in his religion due to his interactions with the human like apes.The site became lost for many years before being rediscovered by the SCP foundation and was immediately recognized for the potential scientific information which could be gained from the anomaly.After 3 failed expeditions however it was decided that the tribes of the anomaly be allowed to develop without interference.
