Special Containment Procedures: The internet it to be monitored for signs and references to SCP-5245 activity. Personnel that encounter SCP-5245 are to be immediately be examined by a Foundation psychiatrist, as should any individuals that the personnel in question has come in direct skin contact within the past thirty days. Individuals who are involved with researching SCP-5245 are to maintain dream journals.
At this time, testing with SCP-5245 is prohibited, however personnel who encounter SCP-5245 are to record their interactions. Oneiric Dampeners are to be implemented in Foundation sites with significant amounts of SCP-5245 activity.
Description: SCP-5245 is an anomalous entity that appears within human dreams. The entity is humanoid, resembling a child with pure white skin, and the features of the entity such as the mouth, edges, and and other features appear to be drawn on as if with a pen. SCP-5245 is estimated to stand at approximately 1.5 meters in height, appearing emaciated. The entity is nude, although it lacks genitalia and nipples, and lacks any sign of bodily hair. SCP-5245 appears facing towards the individual who dreams of it in 85% of manifestations, the remaining 15% of manifestations showing the entity appearing from the left side of it from the dreamer's, hereafter referred to SCP-5245-A, perspective. To date, SCP-5245 has never been seen from the right side, or from behind.
It should be noted that SCP-5245 cannot be viewed directly from within a dream, as it causes great pain to SCP-5245-A, and causing the dream that SCP-5245-A is experiencing to shake. Should SCP-5245-A view the entity directly, they will experience full body pains described as being similar to the sensation of chemical burns or insect bites. This pain will be more intense and last longer the more SCP-5245 is directly viewed, with the longest lasting instance of pain measuring out to 40 days. SCP-5245 always manifests within a dream off to the left side of the center of SCP-5245-A's vision, preventing this effect.
SCP-5245's manifestations always show the entity as smiling as it points to something outside the vision of SCP-5245-1's direct line of sight, usually being visually disrupted through some obstacle, or through the object appearing as blurry. This object, classified as SCP-5245-B, has remained somewhat visually consistent between manifestations. Should SCP-5245-A attempt to get closer to get a better view of the object, or SCP-5245, the subject will begin to hear metallic ringing, and feel pain within the dream. The entity will appear to scowl as the subject approaches, and proceed to attack the subject should the subject come within an estimated 1.5 meters of SCP-5245, or the object it is gesturing too. This will result in SCP-5245-A immediately awakening, with physical wounds corresponding roughly to where they were struck. Due to the nature of SCP-5245-B, very few details of the object can be confirmed. It is at present believed to be a seperate, living entity laying upon the ground, and is grey in color, but few other details can be seen. The significance of this is unknown.
It should be noted that SCP-5245 has manifested in a statistically significant higher amount of Foundation personnel, alongside members of other organizations affiliated with the anomalous world. However, it does not appear to manifest within reality benders, individuals with a 17 or higher on the Xiquan Memetic Resistance Scale, are of Tibetan, Ashkenazi Jewish, Polynesian, Iroquois, Welsh, Gondii, Hakka heritage, or individuals who have received a cranial X-ray.
