Description:
SCP-XXXX-A is the designation given to a cotton blindfold recovered from █████ - Wales - 1951. SCP-XXXX's secondary anomalous effect is the immunity to any and all damage, with the exception of damage caused by cutting or piercing. SCP-XXXX's primary anomaly manifests when worn over the eyes of any sentient creature from the kingdom Animalia. Upon these requirements being met, the wearer will begin perceiving the area around them as outlines, on certain occasions even allowing the user to see further than they were previously able.

Those who have lost their sight via chemical burns or common injury are affected in this way 187% more efficiently than wearers who still have their ability to see.

Upon use up to ten minutes, the wearer begins to perceive humanoid entities (Hereby designated SCP-XXXX-B). The aforementioned humanoid entities exhibit behaviour reminiscent of distress and panic.

Upon use up to thirteen minutes, the wearer begins emitting ambient light. The wearer also begins to slowly degrade and rapidly age.

Upon use over any period exceeding eleven minutes, a bright flash is emitted from the blindfold, and all higher brain functions cease simultaneously.

History:
SCP-XXXX was discovered during the standard inspection of a house following the death of the owner, who was locally known as Henry █████. Due to reports of his behaviour subsequent to the war, he is theorised to have been a victim of Post traumatic stress disorder. Following the discovery of SCP-XXXX-A's anomalous properties, foundation operatives were dispatched onto the scene, and all related items were confiscated. All those involved were successfully amnesticised and a cover story regarding a burglary was implemented.

Addendum 1:

Alongside SCP-XXXX-A was a brown notebook with no apparent anomalous properties. The contents are listed below:
