Special Containment Procedures: SCP 5086 is contained in a steel container painted with white paint and must always be contained. The container must always have a light source emitting inside the container. If there is no light source in the container then it must be replaced immediately unless told not to due to testing. Personnel who are to enter the cell must have a torch and make sure to have a hazmat suit to make sure that SCP 5086-2 is not able to touch your skin. There should be up to 3 personal in the cell for approximately 5 minutes to 1 hour.
The cell is to be checked every week and any broken lights are to be replaced. The cell must also be checked for any cracks or damage and must always be sealed shut. Any of these must be reported to Site Security immediately.
Description: Item SCP-5086 is a humanoid creature known to be having 2 different types of physical forms. Form 1 also known as its ‘shadow form’ only happens whenever there is a light source present. When it is in this form it is not able to make any physical contact to any creature, extremely docile and is mainly only able to move on any surface on the walls. It has been observed to be able to damage any light source by pointing at it, causing it to flicker and then break. This can happen to any type of light source even light sources that are formed by a flame. The physical appearance of SCP-5086 in his ‘shadow form’ is seen to be a hooded figure almost like the grim reaper and is an actual shadow. It is also able to change size and able to fit through any sort of opening in a wall no matter how big or small and is able to travel at high speed. It is not able to talk and the only way it can communicate is by point or any other hand gesture.
However whenever there is no light source present then SCP-5086 is able to take Form 2 or also known as it’s ‘Physical Form’. Depending on the amount of light presently upon SCP-5086-2 the violent tendencies and power scale roughly with the amount of light is present however it can stay is form 2 in the shadow of something else. Whenever it is in this form it would be assigned as SCP-5086-2. SCP-5086-2 is known to be extremely violent killing anything is sees. During this it is in its ‘hunting state’ when in this state it would begin to stalk and chase any human present and then begin trying to grab its victim. SCP-5086-2’s touch is extremely lethal. If it is able to touch the victim’s skin the victim would then not be able to move but is still conscious as it is observed to be able to breathe, see and talk. SCP-5086-2 would then grab its victim around the neck with its hand and then proceed to [REDACTED]. During this you will see a light leave the victim’s body where it will then be [REDACTED] by SCP-5086-2. This is seen to be the victim’s soul as the victim would then become a corpse. After this it would then try and hunt any other victims until there is a light source present. The physical appearance of SCP-5086-2 is similar to SCP-5086 but is not a shadow and a physical humanoid. It has been observed to be wearing all dark clothing with a trench coat and hood. However the most noticeable thing about the appearance of SCP-5086-2 is that is wears a mask that would glow yellow. It has been assumed that this is its actual face since it there are no visible eyes in the eye sockets and has never been seen taking it off. The mask is known to have two X’s for eyes and a mouth that is seen to be sewed together into a smile. SCP-5086 was found in a town in [REDACTED] due to the amount of disappearances of civilians happening in the town. It was then captured and transported to site 19 for containment and testing.
