Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a standard storage vault that is vacuum sealed¹, in a location not prone to seismic disruptions such as earthquakes. SCP-XXXX should be contained in a chamber that is guaranteed not to move, since any momentum SCP-XXXX is allowed to gain is a risk to its safe containment. Transporting SCP-XXXX is a difficult task, it must be transported in the most stable possible way as to avoid making the object move within its container.

Description: SCP-XXXX can appear as different rounded shapes, notably a sphere or an
ovoid²
SCP-XXXX came to our attention after it was reported to us during incident #4886 (see addendum).
SCP-XXXX is a classified anomaly since it is a 4 dimensional sphere being projected into our three dimensions.
SCP-XXXX exists in a fourth spatial dimension, meaning that whenever it starts moving, it becomes highly unstable and is prone to changes in its physical structure, such as growing to an observed maximum diameter of 10m, and shrinking to a smallest observed diameter of 1.5pm, beyond which it vanishes from the 3d dimension, and for it to return it is a matter of pure luck as to when and where it will return to our 3 dimensional plane.
Other changes that SCP-XXXX can be subject to when moving include the sphere being warped into an oval shape, and being warped to the point where the oval appears to bend over on itself.

The largest danger with SCP-XXXX lies with its ability to change shape in a fast and unpredictable manner. If it were to disappear and reappear within a solid object or a sentient being, it could warp whatever it is inside of beyond recognition by expanding inside of it.

Planned Experiment:
Rolling SCP-XXXX down a slope with a mild inclination of 179˚, measuring physical changes in the object and observing whether the object's mass changes with size. The device an emergency stop switch in case the object loses too much stability, in which case the slope mechanically changes its inclination to render the object immobile again.
Procedure:
With SCP-XXXX on the platform, the team sloped it the platform to an angle of 179˚and the object began to roll. SCP-XXXX immediately started to gain in size and slowly “melt” into an oval, until it started to grow at an alarming rate.
Researcher █████ acted out of reflex and tried to stop the object rolling with his hand, at which point SCP-XXXX became extremely volatile and was shifting shape constantly, leading to the researcher suffering some internal injuries due to parts of the object shifting into him. He was brought to the medical bay of [REDACTED] facility and is currently undergoing testing to determine the damage SCP-XXXX caused.
Analysis: The results of test A1 led facility researchers to the conclusion that this object was not to be handled improperly, and that it had the ability to warp inside occupied space, in this case being the internal organs of researcher █████.
Site Manager ████ at [REDACTED] facility agreed to attempt the experiment again, but with the many tests queued up next, it seems like it will be at least 6 months before the experiment will be attempted again The experiment was reattempted on the 16.07.2020, see Test A2 log.]

Planned Experiment:
Rolling SCP-XXXX down a slope with a mild inclination of 179˚, measuring physical changes in the object and observing whether the object's mass also changes with size. The device an emergency stop switch in case the object loses too much stability, in which case the slope mechanically changes its inclination to render the object immobile again.
Procedure:
The experiment began with SCP-XXXX beginning to roll down the slope with some minor changes in its physical structure. The scale under the platform confirmed that the object has an extremely low mass of [REDACTED], and this mass did not change even as SCP-XXXX did. Research team #█████ performed many successful measurements, and the experiment was deemed a success with researchers returning to labs to analyse the data collected.
Analysis:
From this experiment, research team #█████were able to measure what caused the movements of the sphere, and what to avoid doing when dealing with SCP-XXXX.
We came to the conclusion that the movement of the sphere would send it moving around in the 4th Dimension, causing it to become unstable in ours and start to seemingly shift shapes, when in fact it was moving through the 4th spatial dimension.

Witness Report #1: "I was walking along the beachside by [REDACTED] Boulevard, when I notice some fellow kick a ball to his friend a few meters away, but what caught my attention was how the ball seemed to grow and shrink at the same time while moving in the air, then when the ball approaches the other guy it seems to pass right through him. [It was like] something out of a damned nightmare, both guys started screaming. I decided to call 911 after the guy who received the ball was lying on the ground started spasming."
Witness Report #2: "I don't know why you want me to repeat what everyone else who saw this said, but all I saw happening was that I kicked a ball that I found lying on the beach to my friend, and it went right through him like he was made of air. Now I have no clue why this happened, all I know is that I want to know where my friend is.
Actions Taken: This incident came to the attention of the Foundation due to surveillance agent [REDACTED] reporting this possible anomaly to the Foundation. Team MTF-SIGMA-37 was sent in to extract the object. Upon the arrival of the team, the object was at the reported location, and MTF-SIGMA-37 tried to extract it.
They rapidly came to the conclusion that movement renders it unstable so they transported it slowly inside a large container. The object was transported to facility [REDACTED] two days later on ██.██.2017, and MTF-SIGMA-37 used Class B Amnestics on all witnesses after recording their reports.
