Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a 3m3 , 0.5cm thick stainless steel box with signal jammers set around the perimeter of the box turned on. Researchers must be monitoring any signal changes, and adjusting the jammers accordingly. No more than 2 personnel are to be in the vicinity of SCP-XXXX at a time. Testing requires approval from On Site Director, violation may result in demotion or possible termination.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a green PVC toy soldier. SCP-XXXX seems to transmit radio-waves at varying frequencies that effect the emotions of any form of sentience (hereby called 'subject'), and outputs of nearby radio transceivers. No anomalous properties are shown until the subject is within 50m of SCP-XXXX. Once within the 50m range, the subject will start to feel certain emotions, most of which are related to dread and fear. Also within this range, any form of radio transceiver will change to the frequency SCP-XXXX emits, and subjects may hear sounds of guns, explosions, a loud hissing, or screaming on any radio device in the area. Upon a subject touching SCP-XXXX, they will immediately go into a 'sleep-like' state. Subjects are usually traumatized by the experience, and mostly show symptoms of PTSD. Subjects report 'dreaming' of various events, but all relate to the Korean war, the subjects losing a limb, and watching a family member or close friend be killed. This has a duration of approximately 1 - 1.5 hours.

Origin: SCP-XXXX was found in an abandoned house in █████, South Korea on ██-██-19. The foundation was notified of SCP-XXXX's existence by a truck driver who noticed that his transceiver was making noises that were not normal for his device. The foundation sent two armed personnel (P1 and P2) to investigate. Upon arrival, both personnel felt a sense of dread, and communication was being intercepted by an unknown signal. They were told to continue near the house, and went inside. The house was partly destroyed, and had a thin black carbon layer surrounding mostly everything on the interior, and exterior. P1 accidentally came into contact with SCP-XXXX, and immediately fell into REM sleep. P2 was notified of the event and called MTF Epsilon-6 ("Village Idiots").

Addendum SCP-XXXX-1: Further investigation reveals that SCP-XXXX was attached to a note written in Korean, that appeared to be written by a child. The note roughly translates to the following:
"Thank you father for keeping our family safe! All of South Korea loves you dad!
- From, █████████".
The note does not display any anomalous properties.
