Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: Object is to be not moved from its current location. It is to be kept at its current location at (Temporary) Site-92. All personnel entering Site-92 are to be wearing Type B hazmat suits due to the increased amount of radiation that is being emitted from SCP-XXXX. A Security team should be on stand by if unauthorized personnel tries to come in contact with SCP-XXXX without Site Command's clearance. Direct interaction with SCP-XXXX requires authorization by Site Command. The only way to reach SCP-XXXX is for a team of researchers to dive approximately 10 meters under the surface of Site-92, they must be wearing B-type diving equipment due to the increased radiation levels in the water.

Description: SCP-XXXX appears to be a mechanical automaton, 127 meters in height and weight unknown due to SCP-XXXX being currently submerged in water. Research indicates that SCP-XXXX was a bipedal walker. SCP-XXXX was not sentient and is believed to require at least 7 operators to function properly. Researchers on-site hypothesis that SCP-XXXX once had 207 levers and valves via the interior of SCP-XXXX, and had extensive thought when being built. Limbs of SCP-XXXX were controlled via a mass array of hydraulics and clockwork mechanisms. SCP-XXXX was powered by a nuclear reactor located in the back of the torso.

SCP-XXXX was first discovered on December 18, 1956, 700 meters away from the Davis Station in Antartica, after scientists with the 2nd Soviet Antartic Expedition noticed a high amount of radiation being emitted in the area. After further examination and use of metal detectors, the scientists made an account of an "unknown 100+ meter object". This information was soon passed over to the Foundation after a Soviet Scientist's journal was discovered at Davis Station in 1991. SCP-XXXX is believed to have been built in the Aegean Sea alongside SCP-2406.

SCP-XXXX consists of an alloy of unknown origin. Inscribed upon the exterior of SCP-XXXX is the Aegean numeral 1. This suggests that the data from SCP-2406 be true. Unlike its successor, SCP-XXXX contains two metallic panels on the rear of its torso, which seem to have extensive damage from an unknown source. The right arm of SCP-XXXX was found to be equipped with a retractable blade consisting of 10 percent copper and 90 percent zinc. The right leg of SCP-XXXX location is currently unknown, appearing to have been severed from the rest of the torso.

The interior of SCP-XXXX is currently in a heavy state of disrepair due to the extensive amount of water damage. SCP-XXXX is currently decommissioned (but hypothetically could be repaired) and displays an extensive amount of combat damage. The head, left arm, and right arm of SCP-XXXX appear to have been compressed by a multi-fingered appendage similar to that of a warthog. The creature would have to be 200 meters in height. Further investigation states that no creature that size existed from the period of time that SCP-XXXX was commissioned.

It is hypothesized that after contact from an unknown source SCP-XXXX reactor core suddenly malfunctioned due to combat-related damage. Physical evidence shows this due to the immense amount of radiation emitting from the reactor core. Also due to the fact that there is a large laceration going through the anterior of SCP-XXXX's torso appearing to have taken out the necessary components for the reactor to maintain stability.

Addendum: On July 14, 1995, two mechanical appendages were discovered approximately 64 km away from SCP-XXXX. These appendages resembled modified forelimb otherwise known as a bird wing. Each appendage when fully measured had a wingspan of 45 meters across. With further investigation, the appendages appear to have approximately 6 propulsion systems in each of them. These propulsion systems look to resemble a modern day jet engine although the combustion systems inside of each engine vary from modern combustion systems. After further investigation, the appendages seem to have exterior lacerations and two compression marks similar to the ones located on SCP-XXXX. Researchers are hypothesizing that these appendages were torn from the rear torso panels of SCP-XXXX.
