Per the greenlighting policy, first-time authors must get concepts reviewed in the Ideas Critique Forum or IRC chatrooms before creating a feedback thread in the Drafts and Critique forum. Draft critique can still be sought via IRC and PM without greenlights.

When you have a draft that you know for sure the audience will like, bring it to Drafts Critique Forum. Please note that the forums move much slower than the chat, and the draft forum moves slower than the ideas forum!

The mainsite-run IRC chatrooms are the most reliable source of real-time critique discussion.

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX and SCP-XXXX-1 must stay together at all times, but together they can be placed in a standard containment cell with a standard surveillance camera.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a small unlabeled box made from cardboard.¹ A small circa 1940 jack-in-the-box² inside SCP-XXXX.
At random times SCP-XXXX-1 will laugh at the surveillance camera viewing the inside of its containment cell. SCP-XXXX will then close, and the box will explode, but viewers have reported that after they blink again, it's in repaired condition. This effect has been classified as a hallucination. SCP-XXXX can induce other hallucinations such as seeing SCP-XXXX-1 in your visual vicinity, though it is still in the box, and fainting and waking up again unable to speak from one day up to 3 weeks.
