The unlucky man

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a submerged electromagnetically suspended 10m x 10m (32ft by 32ft) room at site 15. In the event where the suspension system fails, backup electromagnetic cables are to be pre-installed and ready to deploy to maintain containment, as well as a secondary room whenever the primary begins to fail (See addendum #3854-2 for a list of known containment failure). It is never allowed to leave it's containment room.

SCP-XXXX is allowed to request up to one item per day, as long as it is approved by the site director. However, under no circumstance is SCP-XXXX allowed to have access to an electronic device of any kind (See addendum #3854-1).

Description: SCP-XXXX is a man who was born in India and is 19 years old. It's name is █████ ████, is aware of its anomalous properties, but it does not know how it attained them. SCP-XXXX is generally cooperative and benevolent, however, prolonged interviews tend to frustrate it, leading to a refusal to talk. The subject does appear to age, and is susceptible to disease, so self-termination is inevitable.

The anomalous nature of SCP-XXXX is always active, yet seems to have no impact on SCP-XXXX itself. SCP-XXXX seems to cause any animate and/or inanimate objects to eventually breakdown, corrode or self-destruct. The methods of self-destruction vary based on the material of the object and all animate objects seem to die in various ways. This corruption only takes place if something is exposed to SCP-XXXX for more than five hours, as well as remain in a 5m (16ft) radius of it.
