Special Containment Procedures:Instances of SCP-XXXX should be contained in a 5m x 5m x 5m concrete reinforced room. The walls of the room must be .25 meters thick, and the floor must be 1.5 meters deep. SCP-XXXX’s containment chamber must be thourougly inspected daily for any damage. If damage is found, all contained instances of SCP-XXXX must be relocated to one of three secondary containment chambers of identical proportion and composition to the original. Damage must be fully repaired, and inspected after completion. Approximately 3 cubic meters of soil must be put in the corner of the room farthest from the entrance to the chamber. Each entrance is to be fitted with no less than 3 doors in sequence, to prevent any unauthorized materials from passing in and out of containment. Shelves should be established on the walls of the chambers to facilitate movement for SCP-XXXX.

Note: Over the course of the time spent by the SCPs in the Foundation, multiple events have occurred that have caused the object class to shift drastically; See document XXXX - a. Current classification is at Thaumiel, and looks to stay as such for the foreseeable future. Document XXXX - b lists previous containment procedures.

Description: SCP-XXXX are collections of small colored balls resembling common pom-poms used in arts and crafts. The diameter of each of these balls range from 9 mm to 13 mm, with no discernible pattern being observed. Instances of SCP-XXXX range in colors, with each hue representing the different anomalous effects of each. Most effects of SCP-XXXX seem to follow a pattern seemingly based on elements present in mythology (water, fire, etc.)

Color	Element	Effect
White	Light	Can emit light in an area around it. The maximum recorded range of this light is 20,000 lumens at 5 meters. Can leave a residue on objects that it contacts, residue will emit light at the level of the SCP at the time of contact, before eventually fading. Effect lasts up to 14 hours. Residue completely disappears after fading. Unknown how it is produced.
Gray	Stone	Can shift rock around it or cause accelerated erosion. Controllables include all three classifications of rock, asphalt, as well as stone based materials such as concrete. Sand and gravel are also able to be manipulated. Has a range of around 15 meters.
Black	Shadow	Can absorb light in a radius of up to 6.7 meters. Absorption ranges from a slight dim to total darkness in the area. This allows effective invisibility in different scenarios. Can engulf outside objects in the absorption as the same level as it currently is. Effect lasts for about 9 hours after contact with SCP is terminated.
Red	Heat	Can manipulate the ambient temperature in a 10 meter radius, as well as the temperature of an object. This control ranges from -20℃ to 225℃ in around 3 seconds.
Dark Red	Heat and Fire	Same as Red and Orange, but to a lesser degree.
Orange with Yellow Highlights	Fire	Can manipulate fire, as well as cause combustion reactions. Includes launching fireballs about 0.5 meters in diameter up to 25 meters away, creating walls of flame, and extinguishing flames. Interacted well with SCP - 457
Yellow	Energy (primarily Electrical)	Can generate immense electrical charge, and arc electricity up to 7 meters away. Placing one in a circuit measured over 760 kilovolts of charge and 430 megaamperes. One instance was able to fully power Site - 142 for 9 days after all onsite generators failed during a containment breach.
Lime Green	Life (Fruit Based)	Same as green, except grown plants are a range of common fruit species.
Green	Life (General Plant Life)	Can stimulate accelerated plant growth, as well as spontaneously generating differing plants from the ground. Additionally, specimens have been observed to have direct control in movement of plants, manipulating flora to form structures, even ridgid plants such as trees. Rarely, instances seem to stimulate a mutation in certain plants, effectively weaponizing them. (See addendum XXXX - b for list of plants recorded thus far)
Mint Green	Life (Sea Plants)	Same as green, except ensuing plant life are species of undersea flora, with the ability of growing on land, despite lack of proper atmospheric conditions.
Dark Green	Plant Life	Same as Green, but with a more defensive style when placed in combat.
Sky Blue	Ice	Can manipulate water in the surrounding area to freeze and form different structures, as well as projecting a telekinetic field around any ice.
Blue	Water	Can telekinetically control water in a 20 meter radius. This includes extracting water from sources such as plants, air, and groundwater. The water can be “hardened” to form a reinforced barrier capable of stopping most ballistics.
Dark Blue	Water	Same as blue, but with a more defensive style during combat.
Violet	Poison (Liquid Toxins)	Can secrete a liquid toxin of varying strength, and control it in a manner similar to the abilities of Blue. Toxin strength ranges from mild discomfort to enough strength to kill 35 grown men in less than a minute.
Lavender	Poison (Gaseous Toxins)	Same as violet, except in a gaseous form. Control range is about 15 meters. Toxin also can be used as a sleeping agent, and is currently being tested as a field amnestic.
Pink	Healing/Regeneration	Can stimulate cell regeneration in nearby organisms, allowing injury and damage to be repaired at an accelerated rate. Instances have healed broken bones in around 5 minutes. One instance managed to completely heal Agent ——- from severe [redacted] in less than {data expunged} minutes. Can project a physical barrier at a maximum of 7 meters wide and 5 meters tall. Barrier can withstand a fragmentation grenade at point blank range. Further testing needed to determine the maximum strength of the shield.
Brown	Earth	Can shift earth matter in a range of 27 meters. Sand and gravel are able to be manipulated. Currently, barriers, small defensive structures and reinforcements have been created.
Sky Blue with White and Darker Blue Highlights	Air	Can control air currents and shift air pressures in enclosed environments. Has shown to cut through thin sheets of steel with high pressure air streams. -One managed to repressurise my car tire even with a puncture in it. -Agent ——-
Lime Green with Green Swirls	Liquid Acid	Can secrete a highly corrosive acid that can burn through most materials in seconds. Reading have shown a pH value of -7.3 before the testing instruments were destroyed. Can control the acid in a manner similar to blue.
Gray with Multicolored Highlights	Crystalline underground minerals	Can grow crystals of unknown composition rapidly from the ground to form structures. Can launch these crystals at a high velocity in any direction. Crystals have been shown to refract, block, and emit light. Possible camouflage uses are being researched.
Silver	Metals	Can control any metallic element in a 15 meter radius. Has been shown to extract pure ore from the ground and use it for multiple purposes. Able to reflect or block bullets in mid air. -No kidding! I just saw one smash through an anvil like it was silly putty! -Dr. ———-

Each instance of SCP-XXXX is sentient, and has shown to be highly intelligent. SCP-XXXX show considerable problem solving skills, and have passed all research tests viewing such (see addendum XXXX - a). They are capable of communication through the use of their effects, and despite a lack of visible methods of locomotion, are extremely mobile. Individuals of SCP-XXXX have been measured moving at speeds ranging from 40 km/h to 76.3 km/h. Additionally, many are capable of attaching to almost any surface. SCP-XXXX, over multiple events and tests, have shown refined combative abilities, amongst other abilities useful to the Foundation.
No life signs have been detected from any instance thus far. This is reinforced by the fact that SCP - 682 did not react with hostility when presented with SCP-XXXX instances. They are also practically invincible, dissipating when “damaged” and reforming shortly after. No means of destroying SCP-XXXX has been found.

SCP-XXXX was discovered on -/-/- after reports of a house in —— , Virginia, combusting, then subsequently extinguishing itself. Agents arrived on scene to find — instances of SCP-XXXX. Initially non- hostile, the captured instances were taken to site - __. After an attempted containment breach, object classified as Euclid. See Document XXXX-a. Since initial discovery, — more instances of SCP-XXXX have been discovered and relocated to site - 19

Testing Log:
Due to the nature of SCP-XXXX, testing performed must be approved by no less than 5 level 4 researchers, and must be strictly observed by security as to not antagonize SCP-XXXX

Document XXXX - a
Incident XXXX - 1
On 13/13/14, 12 of the 57 instances at site - 12 breached initial containment after arriving. On site agents were able to successfully re-contain instances after 7 hours. 15 casualties were reported, no deaths occurred. Object classified as Euclid
Incident XXXX - 7
On 12/12/15, after 5 additional containment breaches, all 43 instances breached containment at site - 66, causing catastrophic failure in 35% of the facility. 45 casualties and 25 fatalities reported. Object reclassified as Keter.
Incident XXXX - 27
On 12/12/17, SCP-1524 breached containment, causing destruction to most of site - 41. SCP-1523 initially ignored SCP-XXXX after escaping, but inexplicably tried to attack the present instances of SCP-XXXX. Agent Ajfng was one of the first to arrive on scene, and proceeded to intervene in the attack. It is unknown what exactly happened, as tapes of the event were all corrupted by 2435f, but after SCP - 1523 was recontained, all SCP-XXXX instances became docile, and did not attempt to breach containment from then on.. Agent Ajfng was found unconscious, but otherwise unharmed, inside SCP-XXXX’s containment cell. Object reclassified as safe after 14 weeks passed with no attempts at a containment breach.
Incident XXXX - 28
16 weeks after object was classified safe, communication was made with instances of SCP-XXXX after writing in the english language was found on the wall of the containment chamber. The following investigation discovered that SCP-XXXX are capable of communication through use of their anomalous abilities. The following interview was conducted 2 hours after this discovery
