Special Containment Procedures: SCP-6173 is to be set a 10 degrees Celsius, and kept in a watertight containment cell made out of the materiel with the highest melting point you can find. The temperature of each wall is to be monitored 24/7, and if the temperature goes above 100 degrees Celsius, an agent is to enter the room with a stool, and set SCP-6173 to 30 degrees Celsius and place it onto the stool. The stool is then to be placed in the center of the room. No other personnel are to enter the room, except for testing purposes.
Description: SCP-6173 is a heater. SCP-6173 can be placed upon an object, (referred to henceforth as SCP-6173-1) and will stick to SCP-6173-1, and the temperature of SCP-6173-1 can be controlled via the up and down switches on SCP-6173. SCP-6173 does not have either an up or down limit, cooling objects to temperatures below absolute 0, and heating objects to the point where a black hole is created. SCP-6173 also appears to be self-aware, increasing or decreasing the temperature of the attached object in a attempt to breach containment. SCP-6173 also appears to be able to control the movement of the object it is attached to, causing liquids to flow in a unnatural direction, controlling the movement of security personnel, etc.

Test log

Subject: D-001-1
Descripton: SCP-6173 is attached to D-001-1 and the temperature is to be constantly lowered.
Result: SCP-6173 was attached to D-001-1 and D-001-1s D-class uniform was unaffected by the low temperature. SCP-6173 than slowly began heating itself up to 1,000 degrees, melting the D-class and breaching containment.
Notes: it seems objects not attached to SCP-6173 cannot be altered by SCP-6173-1s temperature.
Subject: an 10cm/10cm/10cm ice cube.
Description: SCP-6173 is to be attached to the ice cube, then heated up to 200 degrees Celsius.
Result: SCP-6173 evaporated the ice cube, but did not stick to the water vapor.
Notes: it appears SCP-6173 cannot stick to any gasses.
