SCP-5974 is contained in a 7x7 meter cell composed of titanium and tungsten. There used to be a 2x1 meter glass window but because of a breach this was removed. The cell has four dome security cameras put in the top corners of the cell. If a containment breach is ever to occur all guards are to be armed with tranquilizer darts and to fire at the entity on sight.

SCP-5974 looks like a US NASA astronaut suit composed of fabric, parchment and tissue paper which is called SCP-5974-A. SCP-5974-B is a organism that lives in SCP-5974-A. SCP-5974-B is a red ball with approximately twenty tentacles protruding from its body. SCP-5974-B has a mouth that can open up to foot wide, this mouth has approximately two hundred teeth all of with are one centimeter in hight and width. SCP-5974-B has extreme regenerative capabilities. In one test Class-D 154367 was sent into 5974's cell. The class-D was able to stab 5974 once and the wound healed in 100 milliseconds. SCP-5974-B will try attack or harm any human within eyesight of the entity. SCP-5974-B will use SCP-5974-A as a cover of its real appearance. SCP-5974-B holds SCP-5974-A together. It does this by growing inside of the suit and holding together. It will tear open the stomach of suit revealing its mouth. It does this so it doesn't half to leave the suit to eat.

SCP-5974 was created by the foundation in November of 2002. It was originally a test subject with the name of Alex Manwell. he was being experimented with chemical X5974^^A chemical which gave any entity that drank it highly regenerative capabilities. The chemical was destroyed due to the risk of it getting to other SCPs ^^. Alex was let free and delivered level 3 amnestics. He was delivered to site 36 as a STF. He was closely watched by his colleagues and was to never leave the site until a containment breach occurred and he escaped. he was then reported by a personnel at the foundation known as Dr.T. Alex was tested on more until something went wrong and he turned into what he is now.

This is assumed to be the day of the containment breach. Because of this they removed the glass pane so that there is now no opening besides the three feet thick vault door.

In one incident SCP-5974 escaped which left thirty-one casualties and sixty injuries to all personnel in the building. One class-D was seen on the security cameras throughout the building to be devoured by SCP-5974-B. SCP-5974 is given a serving of a live chicken each day. SCP-5974-B grows the more it consumes and over time it will shrink if it dies not have enough nourishment. If somone fells affection towards 5974 they are to be terminated.
