Item number: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Security Clearance: Level 3

Description: SCP—XXXX is a 2 centimeter wide by 3-centimeter tall silver metallic electronic cigarette device that follows the "Box mod" type configuration. The object has a blue and white metallic tank with the anterior side of the object having a digital display similar to most electronic cigarettes of its type; indicating the wattage the device is set to, the ohm resistance it has, and its battery life. Further inspection of the object reveals that it has a clear to a somewhat brown colored viscous fluid inside of its tank. The tank of the object has a mouthpiece and detachable cover that would allow a user to deposit more fluid into the device. The posterior side of the object has a black template on it, including the manufacturer's name and the make and model of the device.

SCP-XXXX was spotted by field agents in Chancellorsville, Virginia in [DATA EXPUNGED] of 2014.

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a standard containment locker and kept in a secure room. Armed personnel are not required to contain this SCP. At no point is more than two people be allowed in the room at any time. If more than two people need to enter the room, an armed guard will be required due to the results of Test [Redacted]. A two-way mirror is needed to monitor test subjects reaction to prolonged use of SCP-XXXX. At no point are children permitted to enter SCP-XXXX's area of jurisdiction during testing. Violating this rule will be met with immediate termination.

Experimentation is currently underway at the request of Doctor Braun.

Test#001
Subject: SCP-XXXX
Date: July 27, 2014, 0900 hours
Supervising Doctor: Dieter Braun
Goals: To gain a better understanding of SCP-XXXX and its internal workings, to possibly isolate what part of the object causes its malevolent nature.
Location: This test was carried out in a secure laboratory at Site-019 with four live-feed CCTV cameras inside of the testing area to ensure that Doctor Braun was not harmed in any way.
Equipment: Doctor Braun wore a lead-lined PPE suit with oxygen supply, this was standard protocol and not due to Dr. Braun's personal choice.
Results: Initial examination shows that SCP-XXXX is unable to be damaged or harmed in any way via traditional damage methods. Its batteries are unable to be removed at all, Dr. Braun reported feeling very very hot while in contact with the batteries, inferring that there may be some sort of tissue to metal conduction between them, this was not painful according to the doctor, but "very very uncomfortable". Attempts to remove the E-liquid from SCP-XXXX were met with failure, as it quickly vaporizes once removed from the tank. The liquid also appears to have a type of "regenerative" ability, never seeming to lose any volume. Upon attempting to manipulate the digital display in any way, doctor Braun was suddenly and forcefully [DATA EXPUNGED] resulting in multiple bone fractures and bruising. Isolation of the objects malevolent nature was deemed unsuccessful, however, Dr. Braun hypothesizes that it may be the E-Liquid itself and not the object. End of test Log

Test#002
Subject: D-7121
Date: September 14th, 2014-September 18th, 2014
Supervising Doctor: Dieter Braun
Research Team: Doctor ████ Galbraith, Jessica Patricks, RN. Victoria Sumner, CLS, Neurologist [Redacted] Harmon.
Location: This test was carried out in SCP-XXXX's containment room at Site-019.
Test Description: D-7121 will be placed in SCP-XXXX"s room and instructed to sit down at a table and interact with SCP-XXXX, this test will take place over the course of 4 days to monitor the effects of SCP-XXXX on a D-class subject with a psychological test score of 47. Food and water and basic amenities will be provided to ensure the subject is in a relatively normal environment. Dr. Braun and his team will monitor the test through a two-way mirror, this will allow D-7121 to feel more isolated.
Results
Day One: D-7121 took little interest in SCP-XXXX, preferring to read or eat when able. He claimed he was not interested in using "vaporizers" or any sort of substance. Dr. Braun and team insisted that he interact with the object or that he would be forced to, via starvation and dehydration. D-7121 proceeded to curse at the team loudly and damage the containment area, ripping out parts of his mattress and breaking his tray table, low-grade tranquilization was administered via injection to calm D-7121 down. SCP-XXXX's possible effect on this outburst is still under review by Dr. Galbraith.
Day Two: At about 0700 hours D-7121 did not receive his breakfast, he was told that Dr. Braun was withholding food until he proceeds to cooperate, regarding this issue, D-7121 began interacting with SCP-XXXX taking short and small inhales from the device. The subject stated that the vapor tasted a bit like perfume, and made him feel euphoric and happy; continuing to casually use SCP-XXXX until lunch was served around 1200 hours. After eating, D-7121 began to talk to the cameras about topics that are considered Taboo, attempting to justify the 9-11 attacks, Columbine, and the massacre In [Redacted].
Day Three: Recording began at 0800 hours and D-7121 was awoken by the research team. The subject complained about feeling sick and needing his "Baby". SCP-XXXX was made available and immediately used by D-7121, claiming that it made him feel "Stronger and Better" than he had before. At about 1800 hours, the subject drew a picture depicting him murdering Dr. Braun and the research team and demanding that he also be fed human meat instead of animal meat while becoming increasingly agitated. Dr. Braun explained via intercom that he needed to calm down or he would be subdued by armed personnel. This resulted in the subject graphically describing how he was going to [DATA EXPUNGED] Dr. Brauns wife and children. Mid-Grade sedation was administered via armed personnel.
Day Four: Recording began at 0800 hours. D-7121 did not sleep this previous night, he insisted on staying awake, cradling SCP-XXXX as if it was a type of "Child". The subject also appears to have lesions of about 2cm in diameter on his right and left pectoral muscle. Blood testing shows extremely low levels of serotonin and dopamine. The subject is refusing to eat or drink, only moving to take deep inhales on SCP-XXXX. It is believed he has developed some type of addiction to SCP-XXXX. At about 1600 hours, D-7121 began complaining of strong and sharp chest pains with shortness of breath and sweating, he struggled on the ground for 2 minutes and 37 seconds before losing consciousness. A medical team was sent in to evaluate the specimen. At approximately 1607 hours, D-7121 was declared deceased due to sudden cardiac failure. Dr. Braun concluded that the test was complete, and SCP-XXXX was placed back into its containment locker.
Autopsy of D-7121
Supervising Physician: Peter Silverman, MD
Date: September 18th, 2014, 2000 hours.
Location: [DATA EXPUNGED]
Disclaimer: The Majority of information in this autopsy report has been redacted at the request of Doctor Silverman. The information presented here is considered to be the most pertinent to this report.

Begin Examination: The patient is a 35-year-old white D-class Male with no previous medical history. The patient exhibited symptoms of myocardial infarction earlier today during a test of SCP-XXXX. They quickly became deceased before medical staff could intervene. O2 levels before death are unknown, the patient defecated and urinated post mortem.

External exam: The patient does not appear to have any external limitations or lesions beyond the deep scratches on the right and left pectoral. The feet also appear to be suffering from low-grade Gout.
Internal Exam: The lungs appear to contain a brown semi-viscous fluid coating the pleural wall. Further examination under a microscope shows small, tendril-like flagella protruding from the viscous fluid into the pulmonary plexuses. Removal of tissue shows that these tendrils continue to flow into the pulmonary blood supply, leading all the way into the heart and brain of the patient. These are considered extremely abnormal and will be subject to further testing. Attempts to remove the tendrils from the body were met with extreme resistance. It is concluded that they have fused to the cardiac and cerebral nerves, specifically focusing on the parietal and frontal lobes of the cerebrum. The tendrils appear to be parasitic in nature, feeding off the host's blood supply to fuel it. It can be determined through this autopsy, that the longer the host stays alive, the more the tendrils will expand, gaining more control over its host sensory and motor controls. It is unlikely that the tendrils caused the death of this patient, as most parasitic organisms prefer to feed eternally. This patient likely suffered from an undiagnosed medical condition. The patient's heart appears to be normal anatomically, however, the tendrils appear to have placed some degree of pressure on it.

Cause of death: Cardiac Arrest immediately followed by seizures and unconsciousness.
