SCP-XXXX (Placeholder)
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in an X.XX meter box in a standard containment locker within the Storage Wing in Site-12.
Level 2 security clearance is required to take SCP-XXXX out of its locker for testing. All testing must be performed with Dr. Kellis's explicit written and signed permission and must be scheduled through Dr. Kellis. SCP-XXXX should be kept in its box until testing commences and researchers should refrain from looking into its eyes. Subjects of testing should be limited to D-Class personnel.
Description: SCP-XXXX is what appears to be a very old, ordinary, stuffed bear. It is approximately X.XX meters in length. Its 'fur' appears to be that of a normal teddy bear and its eyes are made from an unknown, glass-like substance. X-rays have shown SCP-XXXX to be of uniform density and filled with another currently unknown substance. On the bottom of its right 'foot' is what appears to be hundreds of names written in the same handwriting on top of each other in black ink. The handwriting is believed to be SCP-XXXX's, though it is not believed to be able to move.
SCP-XXXX has shown to be impervious to physical harm. All attempts to damage SCP-XXXX utilizing bladed or blunt objects, including bullets, have been unsuccessful. Liquids are incapable of penetrating SCP-XXXX's 'fur', except, notably, for human tears. When coming into contact with SCP-XXXX, human tears are anomalously absorbed into it. It should be noted that this effect was not replicable with animal tears.
Although SCP-XXXX is seemingly indestructible, small samples were able to be taken from its 'fur'. The material was consistent with the rayon fabric used to make teddy bears in the 1950s, but was found to be several hundred years old. Further tests on the substance of the eyes were inconclusive. Analysis of the ink on its right 'foot' found that each name had been written approximately 5 years after the previous in the same black ink. The ink appears to be from a children's marker popular in the 1950s that is now discontinued.
Tests have shown that SCP-XXXX has some form of limited brain wave function. The patterns are similar to those of humans in highly emotional situations. However, it should be noted that SCP-XXXX has no indication of having a brain.
The main anomalous feature of SCP-XXXX is the effect that occurs when looking into its eyes. Researchers who accidentally looked into and subjects instructed to look into the eyes of SCP-XXXX for several seconds spontaneously burst into tears and were inconsolable for a range of several minutes to several hours. Coming into contact with SCP-XXXX during this inconsolable state speeds up the rate of recovery by an unknown but large factor. Subjects in contact with it seemed considerably calmer during recovery than those who were not in contact with it. With or without contact of SCP-XXXX during the recovery period, subjects expressed that the event was one of great emotional catharsis. 8 out of 10 subjects stated that they felt "more at peace with themselves" after testing.
SCP-XXXX was found by Agent █████ at a garage sale in ██████████ on ██/██/200█. After seeing several people interested in SCP-XXXX break down crying, Agent █████ immediately bought it and put it into a bag for containment before bringing it to Site-12.
