Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept within a room built at least 50 (fifty) meters away from any other subjects. The walls and door are to be made of sound-proof material, and lined with anti-vibration pads. The walls must have a thickness of at least 20 centimeters. Only authorized personnel are allowed to enter, or open the door of, SCP-XXXX's holding cell.
At least 2 (two) guards are to remain stationed at SCP-XXXX's cell at all times. All guards are to be equipped to standard, plus strong sound-proof hearing protection, and may not take them off within a 50 (fifty) meter radius of the artifact. Bi-weekly mental checkups are a must for all personnel guarding SCP-XXXX. After any tests or unusual contact regarding SCP-XXXX, all involved personnel must be interviewed and tested for their own health. All guards must be switched out every 2 (two) months to prevent suicide in personnel. They must take an at least 1 (one) month break of psychological counseling before returning to guard SCP-XXXX again.
SCP-XXXX regularly makes loud sounds, 24/7. This should be expected. Any deviance from the norm is to be noted and reported to Dr. Mason, Dr. B███, or any personnel with Level 4 clearance or higher immediately.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a 25 cm x 25 cm x 25 cm cube made from unknown metals. Attempts to destroy the object have failed, and have ceased since Incident 76-A. Markings of unknown meaning and origin cover the artifact. SCP-XXXX is guessed to be about █████ years old. How, and why, it was created is still unknown.
SCP-XXXX emits a loud, incomprehensible noise constantly. The sound appears to be 'gibberish', and has no discernable meaning. The noise itself will be referred to as SCP-XXXX-2. When SCP-073 was subjected to the sound, he admitted he remembered it, but refused to speak on it further and asked to leave. All attempts to completely silence the object have failed. The low-pitched sound is around 170 dB. While this sound by itself isn't very harmful, long-term listening causes an anomaly. Subjects listening to SCP-XXXX-2 report thoughts of suicide, and feelings of [REDACTED]. So far, ██ recorded suicides were caused by SCP-XXXX-2. It usually takes about 12 (twelve) hours of constant listening at full volume for the effects to start, depending on the subject's psyche. However, the longer the subjects listen, the more urgent and strong their feelings of [REDACTED] is.
SCP-XXXX was discovered in the home of Thomas █████, who resided in rural ████, Alaska, USA. Mr. █████ lived on a farm, with no neighbors. He had no known relatives. Mr. █████s body was discovered by passing hikers when they investigated the loud noise coming from his home. Following the discovery of SCP-XXXX, Mr. █████'s suicide note was recovered, which read 'Do not listen.' SCP-XXXX was brought to a police station, where it was confiscated by the SCP Foundation on ██/██/92. All those affected were administered Class B amnestics. It is not known how Mr. █████ got SCP-XXXX, or why.
Addendum:
**Experiment 015 - ██/██/94 **
Subject: Effects of SCP-XXXX-2
Procedure: D-2563 is to be confined in SCP-XXXX's cell with only his clothes and a notepad with a pen until a satisfied amount of data is collected. He is to record anything notable he felt. The test is to be recorded on camera. It should be noted D-2563 only had a CRV of █.
Results: Within the first nine hours, D-2563 noted a sense of dread and uneasiness. By the thirteenth hour, he mentioned suicidal thoughts. At the sixteen hour mark, D-2563 began talking to himself, begging SCP-XXXX to stop, and begging to be let out. At the twentieth hour, he attempted suicide via the pen and notepad, which gave him surprisingly serious injury, but he did not succeed. By the twenty-fourth hour, D-2563 started to violently smash his head against the wall, screaming unintelligibly. D-2563 finally died after twenty-seven minutes of continuous smashing of the head, form blunt force trauma.
Analysis: The effects of SCP-XXXX-2 appears to begin slowly. The longer the subject listens, the more urgent the suicidal thoughts are. The subject then tries to commit suicide, by any means necessary. SCP-XXXX-2 also appears to degrade overall mental health of subject.
Notes, created by D-2563, recovered from Experiment-015:
PAGE 01: SCP-XXXX is loud as hell. Gives me a headache, but I got off pretty much scot-free, considering what the D-Class is normally forced to do.
PAGE 02: A few hours in, I think. They didn't give me a clock or anything. I hate that thing, I swear its getting louder. I can't stand it. Shit, I hope I get out soon. They didn't bother telling me whats happening.
PAGE 03: God what are they fucking testing?
PAGE 04: it hurts. it hurts so bad. i want to go home. god help me
PAGE 05: GET ME OUT. GET ME OUT. GET ME OUT. [D-2563 scribbled around these words. Here, his writing began to deteriorate, becoming messier and messier.]
PAGE 06: i smell [illegible].
PAGE 07: i cant think about anything else other than that fucking box. its like its ripping my head apart.
PAGE 08: [D-2563 drew a crude box, and scribbled around it.]
PAGE 09: I WANT TO GET AWAY. I NEED TO GET AWAY.
PAGE 010-PAGE 17: OUT OUT OUT OUT OUT OUT OUT OUT OUT OUT OUT OUT OUT [This repeated for several pages.]
PAGE 18: everything is covered in blood but that fucker won't let me go. LET ME GO [D-2563's writing deteriorates even more. This writing is barely legible.]
PAGE 19: i c a nno t th in k [Written in blood, presumably D-2563's]
PAGE 20: [DATA EXPUNGED]
[The rest of the pages are full of illegible writing, scribbling, or data only authorized personnel can access (Dr. Mason, Dr. B███, and [REDACTED]). The notepad has since been incinerated due to [REDACTED].]
Interviewed: D-734
Interviewer: Dr. B███
Foreword: D-734 has been forced to stay in SCP-XXXX's cell for approximately fourteen hours. The subject was given no ear protection. Dr. B███ requested this interview to study the effect of prolonged listening of SCP-XXXX-2 after the subject has been rescued from it.
<Begin Log>
Dr. B███: Hello, D-734. How are you feeling?
D-734: [silence]
Dr. B███: Please cooperate, D-734. Uncooperative behavior is grounds for either more research involving you and SCP-XXXX, or termination.
D-734: You sick bastard. You have no idea what it's like in there. [Spits at Dr. B███. Dr. B███ does not react.]
Dr. B███: Please, calm down.
D-734: Y'know what I hear? I hear you do experiments with that fucking box and children. I have no idea how the Ethics Committee ever approved this. You wanna know how I feel today? Huh, Doctor? I feel sick to my fucking stomach.
Dr. B███: Every experiment we run is for better understanding of SCP-XXXX and for the better of the Foundation. Anything that seems 'cruel' is merely necessary.
D-734: [Silent for approximately 15 seconds before speaking again.] I can't stop thinking of that box.
Dr. B███: SCP-XXXX?
D-734: I can still hear it. Everyday. It haunts my dreams… if I manage to get any sleep at all. Its still screaming now.
Dr. B███: How does this affect you?
D-734: You know damn well it's killing me.
Dr. B███: Have you experienced any thoughts of suicide or [REDACTED]?
D-734: I tried to die in there. You know that. You watched me [DATA EXPUNGED]. You stood there and took notes while I screamed for help.
Dr. B███: I know. I'm…-
D-734: What? You're fucking sorry? You think that makes it any better? You think a 'sorry' is gonna fix me? Do you? Do you? [D-734 gets louder, and aggressive.]
[At this point, D-734 reaches across the table and grabs Dr. B███ by the collar. D-734 screams unintelligibly, and is escorted out by guards. Dr. B███ does not sustain any serious injury.]
<End Log>
Closing Statement: D-734 was kept in [REDACTED] for █ days for research purposes. Once Dr. B███ was satisfied with the results, D-734 was promptly terminated.
The following note was recovered from Site ███. The note was for the SCP-XXXX team, and written by Dr. B███.
Dear SCP-XXXX Personnel,
It has been brought to my attention that certain rumors have circulated regarding me, the experiments of SCP-XXXX, and SCP-XXXX itself. To avoid confusion and fear, I shall clear a few things up.
- Yes, it is true we have done experiments involving children and SCP-XXXX. This was necessary to learn more about the artifact.
- No, we cannot destroy SCP-XXXX. All attempts have failed, and no further attempts shall be made due to Incident 76-A. No, I did not intentionally cause Incident 76-A.
- No, security guards are not terminated every month and rotated. Doing so would be simply wasteful.
- Yes, while it is true that security guard ████ committed suicide, likely caused by SCP-XXXX, it was not to the knowledge or intention of me, Dr. Mason, or any other researchers or doctors in charge of SCP-XXXX.
- Yes, I have forced Dr. Mason to stay in SCP-XXXX's holding for 14 and a half hours. While he did not die, he is currently undergoing intensive psychological treatment, and should be expected to return in 3 months. I needed to test SCP-XXXX-2's affects on subjects with high CRV. I do not regret the experiment, though I do apologize to Dr. Mason for the severe stress and trauma he went through.
Please understand I am not a 'cruel' doctor or researcher. I am simply trying to understand SCP-XXXX, for the better of the Foundation and the safety of the staff. If you have any concerns, please meet me in my office.
Sincerely,
// Dr. B███//
Doctor B███ subjected himself to SCP-XXXX-2's effects for a period of 1 month for quote-en-quote 'testing', after which he shot himself. The most notable data is included in this file. To see the full log, please contact Dr. Mason. This personal log was found in his office:
The Ethics Committee refuses me my subjects. I need to test what effects SCP-XXXX-2 would have on subjects of high CRV. Yes, I have terminated ████ D-Class personnel, but I truly need more. This has lead me to one option:
To use myself as a subject.
I've noticed I have a high CRV of 32, making me a perfect subject. I hypothesize that someone with my CRV would possibly be partially immune to SCP-XXXX-2 adverse effects; at least, for a while. This experiment could possibly be ground-breaking for SCP-XXXX and SCP-XXXX-2. If I succeed, my experiment would likely become famous in the Foundation! Honestly, I don't think it'll be too bad. My strong mind will protect me, I have nothing to be afraid of.
I plan to start this experiment as soon as possible, and keep it going for as long as I can. As to not rouse suspicion, I plan to use fake sound-proof ear-muffs around SCP-XXXX, and take them off when alone. I will record anything unusual, and any odd feelings I experience.
Wish me luck,
-Dr. B███
The plan worked. None of the staff questioned me. Though… SCP-XXXX is admittedly louder than I expected. And the shrieks… Even when I go to different sites, I hear it. Of course, I hear it only through the sound-proof walls it is encased in. I cannot fathom what it must be like to be inside the walls.
The sound itself is… indescribable. I hate to think about it. The words…
Almost 24 hours has passed. Throughout this day, I've experienced… odd thoughts. Thoughts I've never had before. I feel… alone. So alone. Even when the others speak to me. The only one I think about is that box. Only that box. When I close me eyes, it's there. And the noise is louder than ever.
Signed,
-Dr. B███
When I left Site ███ to conduct experiment 0██-C, I thought maybe there would be some sort of relief. I was wrong. I couldn't concentrate on anything. Dr. ██████ took over. It seems that whenever I try to think of something other than SCP-XXXX, my mind cannot. It simply can't. I don't understand. I don't understand.
My thoughts are a jumble. When I let my mind wander (which seems more often nowadays) I see [REDACTED]. No matter where I am, I see it. I can't stop it. Everything I try, it doesn't stop.
Signed,
-Dr. B███
When I check the files, it says SCP-XXXX emits 'gibberish'. I disagree. It's saying something, I swear. It keeps telling me [REDACTED], [REDACTED], [REDACTED]… When I expressed this to Dr. ██████, he tells me I'm wrong, but does that mean I'm simply going crazy?
Perhaps.
I feel unstable. I've noticed I lash out even to my closest colleagues. Screaming things I would never say. Throwing papers, hitting the wall, even threatening co-workers sometimes… Why am I like this?
Signed,
-Dr. B███
The stress I feel is… hurting me. I have frequent headaches. The light hurts. Due to this, I am a recluse in my office. The lights turned off, the laptop, the fan. Anything that add to the light or noise.
The noise itself is louder. Its what I dream of. Even when I am not close to SCP-XXXX, it's almost impossible to hear anything but that screaming. It is my life. It is strange to think I am doing this just for an experiment.
Signed,
-Dr. B███
Today, I had a very strange thought. While writing with the very same pen I'm using now, I stabbed myself in the eye. I continued to cut myself on my wrist and face. Only after I realized what was happening did I stop. This was something new. Sure, I've had intrusive thoughts before, but never have I acted on them. It felt oddly… refreshing to do so. Though I don't plan to do it again.
While writing this log, I wondered if I should maybe stop this experiment, for my own safety, and sanity. Of course, I will force myself to keep going. I wonder if I will regret this decision?
Signed,
-Dr. B███
It appears to be getting worse. Today, more urges. I wanted to grab the knife, the glass, anything sharp and do… something. I'm not quite sure what I wanted to do with those things. I'm sure it was very suspicious to my colleagues, me sweating and red-faced, staring at the knife. It took everything not to give in. It took every ounce of will I had left. And I'm tired. So very tired.
Signed,
-Dr. B███
I woke up today, bleeding profusely from the abdomen, in the middle of my office. I lied to medical staff as I got patched up. I myself had no idea how this happened. The only evidence I found was a ordinary kitchen knife covered in blood, on my table. The fingerprints I found on it? They matched my fingerprints.
I suspect that I blacked out sometime in the day, or maybe sleep-walked, found the knife, and attempted suicide. Which of course makes sense, considering the experiment I've been running. I had no idea the effects of SCP-XXXX-2 could be so… intense. It terrifies me.
Still, the urges come. Even more strongly. I have to stop listening. I must. And although I tell myself this, I feel somewhat drawn to SCP-XXXX-2. Sometimes, when I pass SCP-XXXX's cell, I almost want to unlock it, and open the door, and listen. It calls for me.
Signed,
-Dr. B███
My headaches are getting worse. They feel more like migraines now. It's slowly ripping apart my head, and my thoughts. Concentration and work is impossible. Even writing this is torture. If I do not commit suicide soon, I think this should kill me anyway. The sound makes it unbearable. It hurts. My head is exploding.
I apologize for the short entry, but I must rest.
Signed,
-Dr. B███
I have to stop it. What 'rest' I get simply makes SCP-XXXX-2 louder. This experiment was disgusting. I fear what they say about me is true.
Signed.
-Dr. B███
The hearing protection doesn't change a thing. Even the strongest ones we have. After all this continuous testing, SCP-XXXX is inside my mind. I can't stop it. I can't stop it. If there is a God, he will silence this.
-Dr. B███
[Dr. B███'s handwriting quality deteriorates, becoming messy and quick.]
Just to make it stop talking, I smashed my head against the wall. Over and over. Over and over. I'm bleeding. But it won't be silent.
-Dr. B███
My eyesight is blurry. The cuts I inflict don't hurt as much as [ILLEGIBLE]. Maybe it'll stop it.
[Dr. B███ does not sign the log.]
I'm sorry. I didn't know. How could I have known? I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Please, show mercy.
I've decided to go and listen.
The world is finally quiet.

Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept within a 5 m x 3 m x 10 m ordinary room, and is to be brought any furnishings it requests. SCP-XXXX may roam the facility and eat in the cafeteria.
Description: SCP-XXXX is an omnipresent and omnipotent being, which refers to itself as 'The Creator'. On-site staff nick-named the being 'God'. The physical appearance of SCP-XXXX is similar to that of SCP-3999's, though slight details vary depending on the viewer.
Personnel often visit SCP-XXXX's cell to interact with it. SCP-XXXX seems knowledgeable in all topics, including information about the staff's personal life. After interacting with SCP-XXXX, staff say SCP-XXXX seems 'familiar' or 'like a close friend' as soon as they meet him. SCP-XXXX is, overall, very calm and polite.
SCP-XXXX was discovered in ████, Italy. After reports of it teleporting, floating, practicing alchemy, [REDACTED], healing cripples, etc, the Foundation was noted and took SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX named the before-mentioned actions 'miracles'. All those who witnessed SCP-XXXX's anomalous actions were administrated Class C amnestics. SCP-XXXX willingly came with the Foundation and cooperated on all levels.

Description: SCP-XXXX is an omnipresent, all knowing being. SCP-XXXX appears to know about every object, thought, or thing in the universe, as long as it can gather information from humans around it. SCP-XXXX is able to gather information by reading, and corrupting, a human's mind. As long as SCP-XXXX is aware of it's existence, it can see, manipulate, and change the object to it's liking.
Addendum:
[LEVEL 5 AND SELECTED STAFF CLEARANCE]
Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a special site populated only with personnel with extremely high CRV. Staff will be given amnestics upon arrival of the site, so they may not learn the location of said site. Staff are to show nothing but complete loyalty to the Foundation. On-site staff are to be administered Class A amnestics and rotated bi-weekly. Only select staff of a CRV of at least 15.5 are to directly interact with SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX is to be obeyed at all times, as to not arouse suspicion. SCP-XXXX is to never be trusted. Under no circumstances may personnel speak to SCP-XXXX regarding this file, or any other files kept about SCP-XXXX.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a reality bender, mind reader, omnipresent, and omnipotent being. SCP-XXXX is a pathological liar, but can manipulate human beings to believe him. SCP-XXXX is believed to be indestructible, and no experiments may be conducted to test this.
It is unknown how to safely contain SCP-XXXX, or if such a feat is possible at all. SCP-XXXX can move through any material, obliterate any being, and out-think any mind. The only known way to contain SCP-XXXX is to let it believe it wants to stay here. It is not known how long this plan will work.
Praying, rituals, and mass must be conducted each day by real, devout followers of SCP-XXXX, so the being will believe it has utmost power here. If real followers can't be found, D-Class personnel are to be administered Class A amnestics and told they believe SCP-XXXX is the true God, and that they are devout followers. Any evidence of the followers truly not believing in SCP-XXXX is grounds for immediate termination.
This file is to be saved on a discrete hard drive, deleted, and uploaded onto a new system every week. The staff to do so are to be terminated. The author(s) of this file are to be terminated. Under no circumstance is this file to be discussed out loud. If SCP-XXXX discovers the existence of this file, it will escape, and has the ability to create complete destruction, and devour the world. All personnel with Level 4 clearance or lower are to believe SCP-XXXX is perfectly safe. Under no condition may anyone aware of the true SCP-XXXX talk to, interact with, or be in a 30 meter radius of SCP-XXXX This file may not be read more than once a week. Procedures are to followed to a T to prevent severe destruction.

While SCP-XXXX is all-powerful, it is not all-knowing. To out knowledge, SCP-XXXX does not know that we believe it is dangerous. However, SCP-XXXX has the ability to 'retrieve' information from the minds around it. Due to this, only select staff may know the true nature of the being. All personnel with Level 4 clearance or lower are to believe SCP-XXXX is perfectly safe. Under no condition may anyone aware of the true SCP-XXXX talk to, interact with, or be in a 30 meter radius of SCP-XXXX. To protect this information,
SCP-XXXX has the possibility to be extremely dangerous. The being was was described as 'a perfect sociopath' by the head psychiatrist (deceased). The temperment of SCP-XXXX
SCP-XXXX was invited by the Foundation when Agents were notified of an all-powerful being performing miracles in ████, Italy, and then destroying, and manipulating, minds of the humans watching it. The Italian city ████ (which SCP-XXXX was reported as visiting often) was found in ruins three days later. It is believed SCP-XXXX was the cause of this.
