Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-XXXX is to stay in a 10 meter by 10 meter cell at all times, with security cameras watching from the ceiling. At any breach attempts, personnel are to use water, then kill it, or preferably, return it to its cell. There is to be at most 4-5 in a cell at all times. SCP-XXXX must be fed daily using live animals. Any personnel must enter scheduled, and with bullet-proof armor covering the whole body, and a gun. If any are to attack, the guards will turn on the sprinklers, then the personnel shall fire their gun.
Description:
SCP-XXXX is a snake-like conversive-species1 that originated in the forests of east China. They measure in 20 meters long, and 0.5 meters wide. They have tongues that stretch out to 5 meters long, yet can only fully extend in short bursts. This is to help catch prey that is running, so they can drag it back. Their scales are tough and dense, meaning bullets are ineffective against SCP-XXXX unless they come into contact with water. They tend to eat swallow its prey (e.g. Humans, Animals, etc.) whole. This diet is nearly irresistible to SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX are also very intelligent, about as smart as humans, yet can’t speak due to having a lack of vocal cords.
SCP-XXXX can’t drink normally, so when they come into contact with water, their scales loosen which allows them to absorb the water for nutrients. Because of this, this process makes them vulnerable to bullets, so they are weak during that time.
However, upon being bitten by SCP-XXXX, the victim is to be considered SCP-XXXX-1 until the following happens. SCP-XXXX-1 will start feeling weak after about 5 minutes, have a loss of breath, and a strong feeling of dread. 10 minutes after being bitten, SCP-XXXX-1’s legs will merge together, grow scales, and become longer. Once it stops growing, their arms will be absorbed into their body, which now has scales. Finally, SCP-XXXX-1’s head will mutate into an SCP-XXXX head, therefore turning into SCP-XXXX. There is no known way to stop/reverse this process.
Being bitten may lead to the foundation euthanizing SCP-XXXX-1 to prevent more from converting. The average lifespan of SCP-XXXX is about 200 years. SCP-XXXX are proven to remain who they once were mentally, but any brain damage occurring is unknown. So one fact is that anyone converted will spend the rest of their expanded life like this.
An oily substance found on their teeth has been classified as SCP-XXXX-A. This substance is a very dense transparent yellow liquid that was discovered by Researcher █████. She called in a D-Class personnel to test on using SCP-XXXX-A. Researcher █████ sliced her subject’s palm and applied SCP-XXXX-A to the wound. As expected, after 10 minutes of exposure the subject was converted into SCP-XXXX, with all the side effects coming beforehand. The chemical composition of this substance is currently unknown, but tests are being held on SCP-XXXX-A to find out.
Addendum XXXX-1:
The foundation has retrieved dialogue from Dr.[Classified] and an SCP-XXXX-1 on the date of 5-22-████.
Dialogue between Dr.███████ and an SCP-XXXX-1
>Open Log<
SCP-XXXX-1 is in a holding cell while Dr.███████ is in an office near it, speaking through the intercoms.Dr.███████: “How are you feeling?”
SCP-XXXX-1: “TERRIFIED! I feel terrified! That giant … snake thing nearly killed me.”
Dr.███████: “Yes, almost. Now, how does your body feel?”
SCP-XXXX-1: “My upper body feels weak, as if it’s going to collapse. My legs, they just feel strange.”
Dr.███████: “Ah, I see. Any emotions?”
SCP-XXXX-1: “Yes, many. Fear, pain, shock, confusion … and dread. Maybe a bit of relief from escaping that thing. Otherwise, that’s it.”
Dr.███████: “Ok, as expected”
SCP-XXXX-1 looks at the camera and asks “Wait, I … I feel really bad. And, you put me in a secure cell. What is going to happen to me?”
There is a long pause.
SCP-XXXX-1: “You can’t just leave me here, PLEASE, tell me what is happening to me!”
Dr.███████ still doesn’t answer.
SCP-XXXX-1: “PLEASE LET ME OUT!”
Dr.███████: “I’m sorry, but this is for your own sake.”
SCP-XXXX-1 continues screaming for another minute until they start to convert.
SCP-XXXX-1: “Wait, what is happening to my legs?” They say. As SCP-XXXX-1 converts further, they start screaming in fear. “I’m … I’M TURNING INTO ONE OF THEM! OH MY [Redacted] GOD! PLEASE HELP ME!” This continues until they are fully converted into SCP-XXXX.

Addendum XXXX-A:
Researcher █████ and Dr.███████ have spoken about SCP-XXXX-A on the date of 5-27-████. Their discussion has both proven and disproven many theories.
Dialogue between Researcher █████ and Dr.███████
>Open Log<
Researcher and Dr. are at a table, ready to talk about SCP-XXXX-A.Researcher █████: "So, do you have any news?"
Dr.███████: "Yes, actually I do. SCP-███ breached containment and destroyed all of our samples of SCP-XXXX-A."
Researcher █████: "Yes, I remember. It was quite devastating. At least SCP-███ is back in its cell."
Dr.███████: "Yes, it was quite devastating. Now, can we discuss SCP-XXXX-A?"
Researcher █████: "Sorry, I got distracted. I have the finished documents, and I'm also coming closer to figuring out why and how SCP-XXXX-A works as it does. It seems to stimulate the immune system as it spreads throughout the body. Then, when it's settled in, it starts to undensify itself and blueprint SCP-XXXX into the host's body. SCP-XXXX-A seems to undensify into the elements needed to convert an SCP-XXXX-1. It can also replicate itself to spread more of itself to others through the bite of an SCP-XXXX."
Dr.███████: "That … that makes enough sense for me. SCP-XXXX seem to be spreading like a plague. Do you agree that tests on humans should be put to a stop?"
Researcher █████: "Yes, I agree. There are too many cells and too many converted. Containment breaches are bound to happen often if we hold more than what we have now. Also, I can't stand the fear in their eyes as they see what is happening to them."
Dr.███████ sighs. "Yes, I feel the same way. In my last test, the SCP-XXXX-1 was so afraid, and was screaming for help. That was definitely my breaking point."
Researcher █████: "Ok, so it is agreed. From now on, the SCP Foundation is to stop using human test subjects. Now, I will keep trying to find the composition and hopefully, it will lead us to a cure."
Dr.███████: "Good. Now, I will go run some tests on SCP-████. I'll talk to you again soon."
Researcher █████: "Ok, Goodbye."
