SCP-XXXX

Specimen exposed to SCP-XXXX shows instant consumption of organic matter on the skin.

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained within a steel barrel, five gallons in volume, labeled 'SCP-XXXX' and stored in a standard 4m x 4m x 4m storage closet within Site-██. Any experimental procedures involving SCP-XXXX requires approval from Level-2 Personnel or higher. When performing experiments involving SCP-XXXX it is imperative that no part of the human skin should make contact with SCP-XXXX. In the event of skin contact with powdered SCP-XXXX and structures formed with SCP-XXXX, Level-4 Containment procedures should be followed involving SCP-XXXX-1. Particles of SCP-XXXX in its powdered form that are dispersed into the air are also dangerous, hence inhalation should also be avoided. Should uncontained instances of SCP-XXXX and SCP-XXXX-A be reported, Level-2 Personnel should be accompanied by an MTF in case SCP-XXXX-A should prove to be uncontainable (See Acquisition).

Description: SCP-XXXX appears to be standard cement in powder form used in construction of the foundation of houses. Analysis of SCP-XXXX yields anomalous entities that appear to consume organic matter it is exposed to. Currently, the outcome of this process yields no results. SCP-XXXX appears to be the cement with which SCP-002 is constructed with.

Exposure to powder form of SCP-XXXX will wound the affected area as though the skin was exposed to very low pH-level acids. The wound then spreads across the body until the organic matter, including bone, hair, and nails are completely consumed by SCP-XXXX. Examination of powdered SCP-XXXX after this process shows that it has increased in volume proportional to the total volume of organic matter it consumed.

When organic matter is exposed to a structure made with SCP-XXXX, conveniently identified as SCP-XXXX-A, its organic matter is consumed until it is reconstructed as SCP-XXXX-1, or a random piece of furniture made of the organic matter of the consumed individual.

Acquisition: SCP-XXXX was brought to the Foundation's attention in 19██ when 169 construction workers in Manila, Philippines working on a government project fell into SCP-XXXX, being consumed by it. Foundation officials were immediately informed and rescuers were prevented by Foundation personnel and a special MTF was formed because of the lack of Foundation assets in the Philippines. MTF-1981 prevented rescuers from entering until the anomalous entity within the site was identified and contained. Foundation personnel administered Class A amnestics on the survivors and initial rescuers. Foundation personnel then quickly contacted the police to present a story about quick-drying cement to the press. The structure was then completed using different materials to prevent instances of SCP-XXXX from manifesting. The supplier of SCP-XXXX was contacted but the address did not exist and the contact information was unreachable.

Addendum: Further experimentation by Dr. ██████ involving SCP-XXXX mixed with common construction materials such as wood and tile have shown that any structure's composition, as long as it is constructed with SCP-XXXX as a material, will still adopt SCP-XXXX's effects, effectively creating SCP-002.

Test A - 11.09.19██

Subject: SCP-XXXX
Procedure: Expose non-human organic matter like plants and animals onto powdered form of SCP-XXXX.
Results: No effect.
Analysis: SCP-XXXX only affects human tissue.

Test B - 12.09.19██

Subject: SCP-XXXX
Procedure: A corpse will exposed to SCP-XXXX. The corpse is recently dead, directly obtained under permission from Dr. ██████ after experimentation with SCP-████. No severe mutilation in any of the body parts can be observed.
Results: No effect.
Analysis: SCP-XXXX only live human tissue.

Test C - 14.09.19██

Subject: SCP-XXXX
Procedure: Create a 10m x 10m x 10m cube for the sole purposes of observing the effects on the human body when SCP-XXXX is formed into a structure, dubbed SCP-XXXX-A.
Results: Exactly the same as SCP-002. When a D-Class personnel was inserted on the 10m x 10m x 10m cube, he almost instantaneously dissolved into a pile of organic mess. After a few minutes, the organic matter arranged itself to become a table. The table's texture was the same as human tissue, and the color resembled human tissue.
Analysis: It seems that SCP-XXXX is the material that makes up SCP-002.

Test D - 14.09.19██

Subject: SCP-XXXX
Procedure: Create a 10m x 10m x 10m cube for the sole purposes of observing the effects on a human corpse when SCP-XXXX is formed into a structure, dubbed SCP-XXXX-A.
Results: Exactly the same effect as Test C except the furniture formed smells and reeks of organic matter in advanced decomposition. Researchers immediately removed the instance of SCP-XXXX-1, SCP-XXXX-A, and SCP-XXXX and returned it to storage.
Analysis: It seems that SCP-XXXX decomposes organic matter for reconstruction. However, why this effect is not reproduced in living specimen is unknown.

Special Test - 14.09.19██

Subject: SCP-XXXX
Procedure: Create a 10m x 10m x 10m cube with various construction materials and SCP-XXXX and place a live D-Class Personnel within the cube for testing.
Results: SCP-XXXX's effects still manifested on the D-Class personnel, consuming its organic matter and assembling a cabinet made out of its organic matter.
Analysis: SCP-XXXX's effect manifest as long as it is used as a material in the construction of an entire structure.
