Item #: SCP-[Num]

Object Class: Keter

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-[Num]-A is to be kept in a room decorated for a small child, housed in a fenced in area at least 15 meters from the main site building. Any vocalizations requesting the opening of the fence's gate are to be ignored. The door to this room is to be unlocked for five hours between 0800 hours and 1300 hours, in which SCP-[Num]-A will be allowed to roam inside of the fence.

SCP-[Num]-A must be spoken to in Portuguese, and any accidental English communication must be followed by returning SCP-[Num]-A to its room and filling the room with a Class A amnestic. SCP-[Num]-A must be given access to an English copy of any written material concerning it and SCP-[Num]-B within 24 hours of any notable editing of said material for a total of thirty minutes. This procedure must be carried out by personnel of high enough clearance to view the document. This procedure is not required for copies or minor revisions to the document, such as data censoring. No personnel are cleared to translate or read the document to SCP-[Num]-A and any vocalizations requesting that the document be translated or read to it are to be ignored. Discussion of the article with SCP-[Num]-A are strictly prohibited.

In the event of a breach by SCP-[Num]-B, it will be allowed to kill its target before being escorted by hand to SCP-[Num]-A's body after 25 minutes, with the first 25 being dedicated to repairs to the containment room. SCP-[Num]-B must be pulled from the ground with a vaccum pump. If a target can be identified before death, they will be moved to within SCP-[Num]'s containment fence. Any and all personnel involved in a breach due to negligence will be given an amnestic coinciding with the time spent working on SCP-[Num] and moved off of all duties concerning SCP-[Num]. Amnestics must be offered and strongly recommended to any personnel being moved off of all duties related to SCP-[Num], and all witnesses to a breach will be given a Class-A amnestic. In addition, no personnel under level 3 clearance are to be told of SCP-[Num]'s existence, and any negligent breach in this manner will result in all involved facing the above consequences. This does not apply to Class-D personnel used during experimentation.

Description: SCP-[Num]-A is a Latino, male child of 7 years of age recovered from ████, Brazil and stands at exactly 112 centimeters in height and weighing 25.4 kilograms. SCP-[Num]-A has black hair and brown eyes. SCP-[Num]-A shows signs of minor muscle atrophy due to an inhibiting form of osteoarthritis in SCP-[Num]-A's wrists and ankles, and any signs of improvement must be relayed to the site director, who will request for adjustments to the height of the containment fence. Osteoarthritis is a degenerative disorder requiring attention, and any further muscle deterioration or signs of intense pain must be reported to on-site medical staff immediately. SCP-[Num]-A also lacks the back portion of it's cranium and any medical examiner must be made known of this.

SCP-[Num]-B is a scorpion of the species Heterometrus swammerdami that is uncharacteristically large, with a pincer to stinger measurement of 45.72 centimeters. In the place of SCP-[Num]-B's mandibles is a cerebellum made from two different species, with genetic testing indicating it to be three parts domesticated feline and four parts of unknown origin. Genetic testing on the material indicates that it is closely related to a species of █████-███████████, possibly linked to the creation of SCP-███. When SCP-[Num]-B is not attempting to breach containment, it is positioned on top of SCP-[Num]-A's spine, with it's cerebellum sitting where SCP-[Num]-A's would be otherwise.

SCP-[Num]-B has a functional mouth in it's left pincer, although it leads to a specialized organ in it's abdomen that processes human skin into a glue-like paste. SCP-[Num]-B also possesses a modified, straight stinger coated with diamond dust and attached to what appears to be the operating end of a motorized drill. In addition, its poisonous capabilities are replaced with a fast acting anesthetic, capable of laying a person dormant in █ to ██ seconds. Although this stinger seems to be fabricated, it is able to regenerate it on a 1:1 molecular scale.

SCP-[Num]-B is capable of cellular regeneration through a carbon-based fluid from it's attached cerebellum. This fluid acts quickly on appendages, while spending considerate amounts of time on repairs to the main body, with the longest regeneration recorded lasting a total of ██ minutes. Observation suggests that significant damage dealt before this process ends could terminate SCP-[Num]-B, however, written requests for its termination will be denied and are strongly discouraged. A request to routinely remove SCP-[Num]-B's tail and sell it's parts to fund the foundation are underway, with ██████'s request to the foundation for help in developing a fast acting tranquilizer for animals in zoological captivity after an incident in ███ of the year 20██ possibly informing the coming decision. When asked about SCP-[Num]-B's regenerative properties, SCP-[Num]-A originally replied with confusion, as if not knowing of it's existence. This is then followed with "Oh, that sounds like daddy's invincible Caesar. I wonder if he ever finished it."

Whenever SCP-[Num]-B begins regeneration, small amounts of fluid may spill on the ground. This fluid will manifest into a miniaturized replica of SCP-[Num]-B, SCP-[Num]-C, before scurrying off. Whenever containment breach occurs, it is noted that multiple narrow holes may appear on a victim's body that can reach up to 10 centimeters deep, suggesting a connected conscious between SCP-[Num]-B and SCP-[Num]-C. Three cases of SCP-[Num]-C have been captured, although the exact number in existence are unknown. All instances of SCP-[Num]-C lack anomalous properties beyond the altered physiologies as their cerebellum attachments are non-functional, and are to be terminated upon contact.

Whenever SCP-[Num]-A or SCP-[Num]-B are written about, the cerebellum possessed by SCP-[Num]-B begins sending signals at increasing intervals to SCP-[Num]-A's cerebrum for a total of 24 hours. Interviews with SCP-[Num]-A show that during these 24 hours, it is aware that it is being discussed, with the emotional response being likened to a dull paranoia. At the end of 24 hours, the cerebellum will send a signal to SCP-[Num]-A's adrenal glands, forcing it to release a high dose of epinephrine, causing SCP-[Num]-A to faint. This response is unavoidable if SCP-[Num]-A is not allowed to read the article by 20 hours. After a period of ██ █████seconds, SCP-[Num]-B will slice open the skin on SCP-[Num]-A's back with the tip of it's stinger and proceed to breach containment by using its tail as a drill, drilling through containment before rushing at a speed close to 80 kilometers per hour to its target. After a containment breach, it will seek out the person who wrote about it, tranquilizing anyone it senses is opposed to it's search. After finding the author, it will tranquilize them before drilling a hole in their forehead and eating a thin strip of skin from the victim's back. After this, SCP-[Num]-B will burrow deep into the nearest soil, with a maximum depth of 17 meters, and lie dormant for 30 minutes before returning to SCP-[Num]-A, resting back into SCP-[Num]-A's cranium and regurgitating the strip of skin, now a thin paste, using it to reseal SCP-[Num]-A's back. Whether SCP-[Num]-B awareness of being written about is innate, or if it is based on a complex series of calculations is currently unknown, however, considering does not take affect for passing mentions or comparisons, including edits, suggests the former. SCP-[Num]-A and SCP-[Num]-B do not need to be named for the containment breach to occur.

Whenever SCP-[Num]-A is unable to wander through a barrier, SCP-[Num]-B will go through the same events as if written about, but will only sedate the nearest human before ingesting a thin strip of skin, with it's primary goal being to breach containment for SCP-[Num]-A. This does not occur when the room SCP-[Num]-A is presented only has one exit, nor does it occur if SCP-[Num]-B senses a threat beyond the barrier. This threat sensation is characterized by the cerebellum sending signals within itself for approximately 15 seconds. When outside, SCP-[Num]-A does not need to wander further than seven meters from it's exit to prevent a containment breach. When SCP-[Num]-A is removed from a facility, it no longer needs to enter the building to prevent a containment breach.

Due to the epinephrine response, it is unknown if an intense panic attack activates SCP-[Num]-B or if the panic attack is a tool to cause fainting. A request to cause SCP-[Num]-A intense pain to produce an epinephrine and fainting response is being reviewed for approval.

Recovery: SCP-[Num]-A was discovered in a police department in █████, Brazil, in an interrogation room. It is assumed that Officer Qadira ██████, the author of a police report on SCP-[Num]-A's father's death, died the morning that the Brazilian government contacted the SCP Foundation, requesting the dispatching of an MTF unit. MTF Epsilon-11 ("Nine-Tailed Fox") was dispatched, recovering an emotionally distressed child from the facility at 0630, thirty minutes before the department's morning shift arrived. Qadira was the only person in the building.

After the recovery of SCP-[Num]-A, Nine-Tailed Fox was dispatched to the former home of SCP-[Num]-A and it's father. Upon arrival, they noted that the walls were lined with detailed schematics for a multitude of organisms similar to SCP-[Num]-B. The bookshelves were lined with texts related to the Persian Empire and all instances of documentation related to SCP-[Num] are titled under the names of Greek and Roman rulers. Medical documentation uncovered inside the house show that the father had schizophrenia, and there was a pile of prescriptions on a computer desk totaling 7 months' worth of medicine. This pile was discovered under a copy of Shakespeare's Julius Caesar with an Elementary School label on the spine. The book is mostly complete, but starting 3 lines before Julius Caesar is stabbed, the words "God will not forgive you, Brutus" are scribbled crudely on the pages.

When Nine-Tailed Fox approached the basement, they came across 4 separate, fluid filled containers. Three of them held Emperor Scorpions with varying degrees of disfigurement, with the fourth container being broken open and drained, assumed to belong to a second instance of SCP-[Num]-B.

Addendum 1: A photo posted online by a group of adolescents with an extremely large emperor scorpion was brought to the attention of the foundation on September 7th, 2018. After identifying the individuals, Nine-Tailed Fox was redeployed to question the people involved, with them claiming to have sold the the dead scorpion to an online buyer from West Africa. After learning the user was still active, Nine-Tailed Fox unit Jacob Gallant attempted to trace the address of the online buyer to no avail, and VPN bypassing software was unsuccessful, suggesting knowledge of Foundation tracing technology, and an investigation is pending concerning a possible anti-Foundation group in West Africa.

Addendum 2: A witness to a containment breach by SCP-[Num]-B was asked about what they saw by a level 3 clearance researcher, to which they responded "Shit, man, I don't know. I couldn't even see what exactly the mother fucker was it moved so fast."
