Object #:(Will be added if approved and posted.)

Object class: Safe Euclid (See Incident report ()-1)

[PREVIOUS SAFE CLASS INFORMATION EXPUNGED. INFOHAZARD DETECTED]

Special Containment Procedures:

SCP-() Is to be locked in a 25cm x 20cm x 20cm Steel box with a thickness of 50 mm.
Under no circumstance should SCP-() Be removed from this container, with the exception of testing. Absolutely NO live instances of SCP-()-1 are to be removed, unless approved by site director and at least (2) level 4 researchers. The anomaly's containment chamber are to be fitted with a multitude of termination devices, listed below:

No testing is to take place if any of these devices are in non-functional condition.
When testing, SCP-() is to be raised into a separate containment room above via robotic arm. SCP-() is to be lowered back down once test has ended, SCP-()-1 has been neutralized and removed,
and all termination devices are off and container safe to enter.

Container door is to be a 100 300 mm thick reflective blast door,
leading to an airlock and another 100 300 mm thick reflective blast door.
Personnel preforming autopsy or removing body must wear a full body HAZMAT suit. Any blood contact is to be reported immediately, and depending on the mutation, may or may not be immediately terminated.

Description:

SCP-() is a photograph that measures 18cm x 13cm. Any other piece of information poses an immediate Info hazard, and will trigger SCP-()'s anomalous properties.

When a sapient life form knows of SCP-()'s existence,
and at least (1) detail about what the photograph depicts, subject undergoes a massive biological mutation. What will mutate cannot be predicted, however, it seems to actively react to whatever is around the target to help the victim, hereby known as SCP-()-1, escape. SCP-() also appears to alter the mind of all SCP-()-1 instances, with the sole purpose of escaping confinement.

SCP-()-1 instances seem to also desire to spread their specific mutation via blood contamination. Upon contact with blood, SCP-()-1's mutation will be spread via altering of victim's genetic material in a similar fashion as SCP-() mutation process occurs.

As such, during testing, no termination devices are to be revealed2, and, under NO circumstances, are all termination devices to be revealed, as there is a danger of SCP-()-1 becoming immune to all termination devices.

SCP-()'s mutation abilities, while mostly precise with what it causes upon successful mutation, appear to target quite randomly,
as genetic analysis shows that 30% of SCP-()-1's "Junk" DNA was edited,
and caused no change, 20% of SCP-()-1's mutation becomes incompatible for life3, and 50% of SCP-()-1 Instances have a successful mutation. The mutation process takes at least [DATA REDACTED] to complete,
although exact time depends on how drastic the mutation is
(for instance, skin becoming hardened would take less that skin made out of a harder material entirely).
