Item #: SCP-5127

Object Class: Keter

Special Containment Procedures: SPC 5127 is contained in a blast proof glass room. Researchers were able to copy the DNA from the SPC and use it on the glass to combat it’s atom displacement ability. If SPC 5127 escapes, everyone is to immediately evacuate and then go to site ██. Bring the backup glass from there and rebuild the room. Send a D-class personnel to retrieve the SCP and place it in that new room.

Description: SCP 5127 is a harmless looking lump of an unidentified solid. It absorbs 100% of light. Researchers believe SCP 5127 could be made of an element with its instability on the verge of bursting, earning it the name “The Last Element.” A D-Class personnel was instructed to retrieve a piece of the SCP, which resulted in him being exploded, but the sample was successfully collected. Unidentified DNA was found in each atom of it, but this DNA was approximately 13 times smaller.

It seems that to try and regain stability, SCP 5127 occasionally gets rid of or pulls in multiple random atoms. Getting rid of atoms causes it to be more stable, but the atoms shot out are immensely dangerous, and contact with them will result in the victim’s own atoms being knocked out, making a hole that grows for about 5 minutes. In other words, the moment the atoms hit a person, they’re dead. The DNA in the atom then forces it to rejoin with the rest of the lump.

If the SPC 5127 pulls atoms in, it becomes more unstable and explodes violently, then automatically comes back together.
