Special Containment Procedures: The creature is contained on it’s natural habitat, with a metal electric fence surrounding the area, and one vigilance tower. Anyone that is not foundation personnel should be kept outside the perimeter and if someone manages to enter, non-lethal force should be used. So far, complete containment is impossible, and any reports of the creature outside the perimeter are to be intercepted by the foundation, and the eye witness to have Class-C amnestics.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a small shark-like entity with dark eyeballs. The creature weights 90 kilograms and has approximately 1,90 meters on length, the specimen is also proved to be devoid of blood, and doesn’t seem to urinate or defecate. The lake was previously considered to be SCP-XXXX-1, but that hypothesis was discarded (see Addendum XXXX-4)
The creature was discovered by the foundation on 19 of June, 2020, after multiple fishermen, divers and costal police members went missing all of a sudden on Brazil’s coastline. The foundation spent a year prior undercover, trying to figure out what was causing people to disappear.
Initially the foundation suspected of a outbreak of SCP-1128, The Aquatic Horror, but was quickly discarded as most of the victims were completely unrelated, and the incidents were sometimes hundreds of kilometers apart.
It wasn’t until the 17th of June, when a video went viral showing a marine guard being devoured and killed inside of a lake, showing what appeared to be a shark eating the man alive.
The video was took down by the foundation and the location tracked, to small town a few kilometers apart from Parana’s capital. After localizing the individual who posted the video, a sixteen year old female, who was quickly intercepted
She had class-A amnestics administered, and the Foundation manipulated multiple media talk about the video and debunk it, which seemed to have convinced the internet that the creature didn’t exist.
After further video analysis, another individual appeared on the footage, who could not be identified.
Addendum XXXX-1 : After three days without any paranormal activity, a D-Class was sent in with diving equipment to find the creature, and thirty seconds after, a man emerged from the water, screaming for help while something pulled him down. The D-Class tried to help, but none of them returned and all the communication was cut a minute after the start. Both corpses were found half eaten floating on the water an hour later.
Addendum XXXX-2 :Five MTF units were sent on a boat to attempt to capture and contain the specimen, after two minutes, the creature started attacking the boat, opening holes and causing it so sink. It wasn’t clear if the MTF did hit the shots or not, but the specimen didn’t react to any amount of firepower.
Addendum XXXX-3 :With the objective of analyzing the lake better, a drone was sent in with video and audio feed. The drone’s camera showed a dark, lifeless bottom, with skeletons covering it. After two minutes, XXXX manifested itself spontaneously and attacked the drone, MTF forces from outside water fired, but even if it did cause the creature to show bullet wounds, it would neither bleed or react. The video feed cut fifteen seconds after the creature attacked.
Addendum XXXX-4 :In order to test the anomalous proprieties of the lake itself, all water was drained, to see whether the specimen would appear, or not. Instead, SCP-XXXX was reported on multiple beaches, and during the analysis, the lake proved itself to be completely normal, with all the anomalous activity being caused by the entity living in it. The lake was filled again, which lead to XXXX repapering.
