Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: The object is to be stored in a safe in Dr. ██████ 's office. No other containment procedures have been deemed necessary at this time. There are to be two guards stationed outside Dr. ██████ ' s at all times.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a black hat in the "beanie" style. However, the object takes on the form of any garment the wearer desires, only by being touched in some way by the wearer. Where the item gets new material and dyes to change form, and how it changes form are as of now not understood. Tests have shown a seemingly unlimited forms the object can take. Item was acquired through mail delivered to Site ███ on 14/9/20██, in a box with a shipping address located in ███████, Wisconsin. MTF Gamma-17 was dispatched to the location, but could not find any evidence of activity from any GOIs.

Procedure: Subject donned the object, wished for a yellow raincoat
Results: Object morphed into a yellow raincoat, which Researcher █████ wore for the rest of > the day, before returning the Item to containment
Analysis: Researcher █████ reprimanded for using an anomalous object without position, no > other notable events.

Test 2
Subject:** Researcher █████
Procedure: Subject held the object in their hand, and wished for a top hat.
Results: Object morphed into a top hat.
Analysis: No notable results

From this point on testing was conducted with a D-Class, as Researcher ████ was reported KIA during a containment preach of SCP-████

Test 3
Subject: D-344657
Procedure: Subject instructed to think about a parka while holding the object in their hand.
Results: Object transformed into a grey polyester parka with a fur lining, later determined to > be coyote fur when a sample the subject took was analysed.
Analysis: Samples can be taken from the garments when they've been transformed.

Subject: D-344657
Procedure: Subject instructed to think about a standard mountaineering pack while holding the > object.
Results: Object became a ████████ brand mountaineering pack, with all furnishings needed > for a trip in the mountains.
Analysis: Apparently the item comes with any peripheral items that would normally come with > the desired article

After the events of Incident XXXX-1, SCP-XXXX was recovered during a raid on a GOC base located in █████████, Bangladesh. Upon return to Site ███ it was discovered that the GOC had embroidered their logo on the turned up part of the Objects sides. In all subsequent tests the GOC logo would appear somewhere on the transformed form of the object.

Analysis: No notable results

Test 7

Subject: D-546735
Procedure: Subject instructed to hold the item while thinking of an "Easter hat"
Results: As expected, object became an Easter hat

+ Incident report XXXX-1

[On ██-██-20██, during routine testing, D-344657, a Soviet prisoner of war turned D class, used SCP-XXXX to give himself the standard battle equipment he was familiar with, and used the equipment to great effect in escaping from Site ███. Once D-344657 escaped, MTF Gamma-17 was mobilised to search for him, but despite an intensive search, no evidence of the subject was found. Both D-344657 and SCP-XXXX were considered lost, until SCP-XXXX was recovered during a raid on a GOC base on █-██-20██]

Addendum XXXX.1

Since SCP-XXXX has been recovered, GOC agents have made multiple attempts to infiltrate Site ███, as well as engaging in three full assaults on the site. How the GOC managed to track SCP-XXXX to Site ███ is unknown, as well as the reason they are so desparate to re obtain the object. In light of these events I am making changes to the item's containment procedures to make them more secure, as well as upgrading its status from Safe to Euclid. - Site Director ████████
