Special Containment Procedures: Because of the unpredictable nature of SCP-XXXX personnel with a highly un-conductive rubberized suit must keep a 1500M distance away in wooden boats from the red zone. Any boat travel must be redirected, and any civilians that pass this zone must be neutralized immediately, likewise, any birds or fish that appear near the island must be neutralized. Personnel must report all activity to a level 4 personnel or higher. Any attempts at falling, or drowning by SCP-XXX-A must be stopped with a high caliber sniper rifle with nonlethal rubber bullets to the eyes.
Description: Foundation was called to SCP-XXXX after reports of boats and people missing. SCP-XXXX is a Thunderstorm located above an island(labeled SCP-XXXX-1) that is approximately 20,534m off the coast of {REDACTED}. The Thunderstorm does not appear to move from its position and is constantly thundering no matter the surrounding weather. The lighting emitted from the storm appears to be the same as a regular thunderstorm, but when the lightning comes into contact with any living creature, it is turned into a mutated, braindead sapient (which are referred to as SCP-XXX-A) the reason for this is currently unknown.SCP-XXX-A appears to have very brittle skin, but appear to grow very sharp teeth for unknown reasons. The lighting emitted from the thunderstorm appears to not be able to affect anything that's non-conductive to electricity. Any attempts to capture pictures of SCP-XXXX-A have failed due to the darkness of the island.
Test A - Date: 5/██/██
Subject:D-3671
Procedure: Subject is asked to take samples of SCP-XXXX-A with tweezers.
Results: SCP-XXXX-A seemed to be completely motionless during testing, but grew some type of armor that made it harder to take samples.
Analysis: SCP-XXX-A tissue seems to be comprised of unknown material and has shown the ability to adapt to anything that causes it harm, further testing will be done.
Addendum-1: SCP-XXXX-A has been shown to start communicating with themselves with an unintelligible mumbling, and have been shown to start attacking nearby seagulls that fly in the area with an unknown substance that shoots from their mouth.
Test B - Date: 6/██/██
Subject: 15ft Salt Water Crocodile approximately 1200lbs.
Procedure: Subject is used to see the full adaptive capabilities of SCP-XXXX-A
Results: SCP-XXXX-A seems to immobilize the subject with a type of gas, before growing a pair of extra limbs, ripping it in half, and consuming it.
Analysis: SCP-XXX-A seems to be able to evolve in any way it deems necessary to reach "prey". More testing will be done to see if there is a limit to its Adaptive abilities.
Addendum-2: SCP-XXXX-A seems to be able to grow in height, and emit a sort of silk-like substance, like that of a spider's web. It has caught some birds, or crabs that approach the island with this webbing. it is believed it learned this from potential Arachnids in the area as it is seen having similar web to that of an Ogre spider.
Incident-46: The boat a few of the personnel was on, near the island at ██/██/██ crashed into the island for unknown reasons. After crashing onto shore a Guard was struck by the lighting and it pierced the rubber clothing transforming him into SCP-XXX-A. SCP-XXX-A attacked the other personnel. The other guards immediately shot at it killing SCP-XXX-A immediately, but the bullets fell out, and it grew a type of resistant armor, any further communication with the personnel at the island has failed.
Addendum-3: The creatures produced by SCP-XXXX seem to have limitless adaptive abilities and can evolve in any way to survive or catch prey. At the moment it seems to have no capabilities of swimming or flying.
Addendum-4: Capt.████ was recovered from the island in a fetal position, and will be taken in for questioning.
