Item #:SCP-4827
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4827 is currently under observation in a padded cell of 2 x 3 x 6 metres. No ventilation.
Subject is passive and considered safe under the conditions of absolutely NO COMMUNICATION between personnel and subject at ANY TIME.
Subject is highly manipulative (not intelligent) and will try to engage in conversation. Has been downgraded from Euclid.
SCP Datamining Procedures: Two guards and a minimum of two researchers per session. Guards stand opposite each other facing the subject. Euclid class security is still in effect until the subject's mental stability is determined.
Researchers are equipped with EM-scanners and a datamining tool to extract data from the subject's subconcious (after being sedated).
Before Incident No.3 datamining was made verbally via SCP-regulated interrogation. Lack of clearly defined protocol resulted in the death of a handler.
Research: SCP-4827 has been key in human-subject interactions as a mediator and has an accute sense of emotional awareness, it is highly manipulative and success rate
has been high up to the incident leading up to its own lock up. The amount of research data extracted on other subjects has been invaluable in keeping these under control and downgrading many of these from keter class down to euclid and euclid down to safe. It is determined that overexposure to other SCP's has been the cause of Incident No.1.
SCP-4827 is considered an asset for the duration of the datamining. We estimate this to be 4 - 6 months depending on its mental state.
Doctor's note I: Less data is extracted each week. Much of it is nonsensical or too fragmented to piece together. The modus operandi of this particular subject keeps evading us and we MUST find it before the subject succumbs to madness.
Without it research will take months to decipher. SCP-4827 understood the thought process of our humanoid SCP's, almost intuitively - something we can't replicate through theorem without its specific lens.
I'm convinced that if we'd started the datamining process before it turned on us then much could've been salvaged, even recreated..
We've tried to understand the "how" but I'm starting to think that we should look into the "why".
Doctor's note II: The more we piece together of 4827's mind more questions arise about the extent of it's abilities. Maybe we should look into our "regulars" since it shares more with them than subjects under SCP protocol.
Post Script: It is unfortunate to lose such a talent and to treat it like the thing it helped us contain. Best we can do for it is to continue the research and find the Key.
Euclid class history (excerpt): Subject encouraged a female handler to commit suicide after engaging her in conversation about her personal life.
All handlers were given earbuds with no further incidents. 4827 became passive and did not attempt any more escapes.
Sidenote: SCP-4827 is prone to harm itself after the incident. We have concluded that the subject is "starved" of human interaction and is experiencing
symptoms of depression. Classified as safe.
