Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a 2x2x2 meter concrete bunker. SCP-XXXX will be visually monitored via video camera at all times. An algorithm will determine if SCP-XXXX reaches a diameter greater than 1 meter. If so, the current site will need to be rebuilt doubling space to 4x4x4 meters3. Two (2) C class personnel should be stationed at the site at all times to prevent civilian intrusion. SCP-XXXX should be left alone unless needed for testing. A gravimeter will be monitoring the anomaly at all times. If instances of SCP-XXXX-A reach a gravitational force greater than 5% of earth's gravity, electromagnetic pulses will be used to disrupt and dissipate instances of SCP-XXXX-A.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a spacial anomaly that effectively absorbs all radiant and electrical energy. It effects a spherical area with an approximate diameter of 75 cm3. Because it absorbs all radiant energy, it appears to be completely absent of light. Matter can move through SCP-XXXX's boundary and will still hold it's thermal energy but none will radiate off. All electrical energy will immediately discharge and be absorbed by the anomaly.
It was discovered 25 km east of ████████, Russia. It came to the foundations attention after a man from ████████ returned to the town after camping screaming about the "Black Orb". He died soon after of a heart attack. A biopsy showed that he had unexplained brain damage. His medical records showed no sign of previous brain damage or head trauma.
The anomoly was discovered when the MTF Epsilon-6 ("Village Idiots") task force was sent to ████████ to investigate the event. After searching the woods near the town, they found SCP-XXXX floating around 30 cm off the ground. A member of the task force reportedly stuck his hand past SCP-XXXX's boundary. He reported that his hand went completely numb and the muscles past the barrier went limp.
Site-XXXX was built around SCP-XXXX to monitor the anomaly and prevent civilians from coming into contact with the it.
Testing with Class D personnel has reveled that the human nervous system will shut down if within the boundary of the anomaly. Class D personnel who have stuck their head past the boundary have passed out due to electrical brain activity ceasing. They eventually wake up but show similar symptoms to past instances of contact with the anomaly such as brain damage, cardiac arrest and/or paralysis.
Addendum: New developments in the research of SCP-XXXX have revealed some dangers that were not previously understood. For instance, personnel stationed at site-XXXX noticed some strange clumps of dust floating in areas near SCP-XXXX. It was discovered that these were gravitational anomalies that seemed to be caused by SCP-XXXX which are now referred to as SCP-XXXX-A. Monitoring these instances reveled that the gravitational strength of SCP-XXXX-A anomalies are getting exponentially stronger.
It was also notice that SCP-XXXX has been slowly expanding at an approximate rate of 1 cm3 every 1 to 2 days. This along with the discovery of SCP-XXXX-A instances gave cause for SCP-XXXX to be upgraded from safe to euclid.
