Item Number: SCP-5000
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures: SCP 5000-1 is to be contained in the Euclid level humanoid containment wing at Site 19. Due to its properties, SCP 5000-1 does not require any sustenance and, apart from weekly inspections of the containment cell, is to be left undisturbed at all times when experimentation and research is not being conducted.SCP 5000-2 is stored in a converted hanger at surface level in Site 19. The hanger has been outfitted with 6 inches of layered blast proof steel and graphene, although modifications and repairs are made regularly. Because SCP 5000-2 undergoes regular 'shifts' in its appearance and anomalous properties, containment procedures for SCP 5000-2 must be updated at least once every two weeks or as deemed necessary by the director of Site 19. Due to the numerous containment breaches and breach attempts, Mobile Task Force Pi-15 (Brother's Keeper) has been permanently assigned to contain SCP 5000. All members of Mobile Task Force Zeta-9 (Mole Rats) are to be kept from making contact with SCP 5000 unless given approval by research staff. Except during experiments approved by the Site 19 director and two personell of O5 clearance, SCP 5000-1 is to be kept separated from SCP 5000-2 at all costs.
Description: SCP 5000-1, formerly D-6547, formerly Agent ███████ of Mobile Task Force Zeta-9, is a 29 year old Caucasian male of strong build and average weight. SCP 5000-1 wears the D-class uniform it was provided prior to Incident 5000-1A. SCP 5000-1 spends much of its time in a docile state seated on the floor of its cell, despite being provided with standard furnishings. The subject is noted to be unnaturally quiet and still, with no apparent breathing or heartbeat despite making the appearance of breathing. It is believed that sometime during Incident 5000-1A, an entity of unknown origin or intent took possession of D-6547's higher brain functions.SCP 5000-1 is acutely aware of the location and presence of SCP 5000-2 at all times, and has attempted to breach containment on three occasions.Prior to containment as a D-class or anomaly, Agent ███████ served with MTF Zeta-9 from 03/05/2010 until being demoted to D-class after a ruling by the Ethics Committee on 11/27/2017. This occurred after a third reprimand for his use of excessive force and Agent ███████ was sent to Site 19 due to a shortage of D-class at the time.
SCP 5000-2 is believed to be a space-time anomaly capable of transporting and assuming control of objects from an unknown number of sources, including other anomalous objects currently in containment and other universes. The true appearance of SCP 5000-2, if one exists, is unknown. These shifts occur approximately every fourteen days, with the shortest duration being five hours and the longest two months. Each shift involves the replacement of the former object with a new object that may seem better suited to attempt a breach. A list of notable shifts is listed in Addendum 1. To date, the largest form SCP 5000-2 has assumed was that of a Boeing 747-8, which caused the collapse of its original containment cell. The shifts often provide non-anomalous objects with anomalous properties, typically self- locomotion and a low degree of intelligence. These are used to attempt to reach SCP 5000-1 and aid in breaching its containment.
Discovery: On July 10, 2018 at 07:35, Site 19 underwent automatic lock down after the on site AI detected a discrepancy between Site 19's database and the rest of the Foundation's servers, as detailed in Incident 5000-1A. During the sweeps of the facility, D-6547's cellmate reported his odd behavior to passing guards, who called research staff shortly after opening the cell. Upon arrival, D-6547 was found in possession with SCP 5000-2, which took the form of SCP 2200-1. D-6547 did not respond to commands by staff to release SCP 5000-2 and three minutes later attempted to use SCP 5000-2 to attack research staff. The subject was rendered unconscious by guards, after which SCP 5000-2 was removed and placed in a Euclid containment cell. D-6547 was taken to an interview room. The subject was then placed in the humanoid wing to await further investigation.
