SCP-XXXX: Homo Caballus
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-XXXX instances are to be kept individually in a standard Site-19 humanoid containment cell. On-site surveillance should be used to monitor SCP-XXXX at all times. Under no circumstances should SCP-XXXX come into contact with another member of its species. If contact is made, an armed patrol force should be dispatched immediately and both instances should be tranquillized and brought back to their containment cells. Any instances of SCP-XXXX attempting to escape its cell or contact another SCP-XXXX instance should be reported to the current site director as soon as possible. In the event of a containment breach, an armed security squad should be immediately dispatched with standardized ketamine tranquiliser darts. SCP-XXXX should be neutralized as soon as possible and barred from interacting with any other instances.
Description:
SCP-XXXX is a sentient humanoid species of unknown origin. Brain tissue sampling suggests it consists of the spliced genetic material of Homo Sapien and Equus Caballus. All recorded instances of SCP-XXXX are female and have black, brown or auburn hair on their scalps. Instances have an average height of 2.05 meters and an average weight of 40 kilograms. Apart from their scalp, SCP-5148 are completely hairless. SCP-XXXX instances have humanoid anatomy aside from their facial structure, which resembles that of an American Quarter horse. Tissue samples from the muzzle indicate that the skin on its face is of human origin. SCP-XXXX have human voice boxes and are capable of articulating disjointed sounds. Without conditioning, vocalisations have no apparent language or meaning (for more information see Addendum-2: SCP-XXXX Test Log: 00-2).
SCP-XXXX are hostile towards all human and animal subjects it comes in contact with and are usually found in pairs. Upon contact, SCP-XXXX will attempt to grab and bite down on the subject’s collarbone. If successful, SCP-XXXX will proceed to rip out the subject’s windpipe, killing it instantly. After killing the subject, SCP-XXXX will voraciously devour its flesh, often picking the subject’s bones clean. If SCP-XXXX is paired with another instance of SCP-XXXX, it will proceed to [REDACTED] resulting in equal proportions to be divided between them. SCP-XXXX possesses the strength of an average human female, however, if multiple instances are present they can overpower a fully grown Clydesdale horse (for more information, see Addendum-3: SCP-XXXX Test Log: 00-4).
SCP-XXXX appears to be sapient and is capable of remembering simple colours and patterns. It also appears to be able to comprehend basic language (for more information see Addendum-2: SCP-XXXX Test Log: 00-2).
SCP-XXXX was first discovered at █████ ██████ on ██/██/██ after the owner of the establishment reported two instances of SCP-XXXX (instances are from now on referred to as SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2) standing in the estate’s stables. Upon arrival, both instances were found standing next to each other. SCP-XXXX-1 was masticating on [REDACTED]. SCP-XXXX-2 attempted to assault the nearest staff member. In response, SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2 were tranquillized and transferred to Site-19. The estate owner was administered Class C amnestics after the incident. Fourteen SCP-XXXX instances have been discovered since ██/██/██.

SCP-XXXXTest Log: 00-1
Basic cognitive examination of SCP-XXXX
| SCP-XXXX Test Log: 00-1 | |
| Subject | SCP-XXXX-1 |
| Protocol | SCP-XXXX-1 is to be shown two coloured circles on a sample array, followed by a test array with the colour of one circle changed. |
| Results | SCP-XXXX-1 learned to choose the changed colour and transferred their performance to four unfamiliar colours, suggesting that it had learned a generalized concept of colour change. |
Additional notes: SCP-XXXX appears to be able to comprehend basic memory tasks and shows a cognitive understanding of colour change. Perhaps it is capable of understanding human language?
SCP-XXXX Test Log: 00-2
Analysis of SCP-XXXX language processing capabilities
| SCP-XXXX Test Log: 00-2 | |
| Subject | SCP-XXXX-1 |
| Protocol | SCP-XXXX-1 is to be shown a picture of a dog, an apple, a T-bone steak and a horse through a glass window. An announcer will give the names of the items through a microphone. A picture will then be shown at random and SCP-XXXX-1 will be tasked with naming it accurately. |
| Results | After several attempts, SCP-XXXX-1 was able to repeat the word spoken by the announcer. SCP-XXXX-1 became very excited when shown the steak and upon learning the word, repeated it insistently. Once shown the horse, SCP-XXXX began salivating and scratching at the window, repeating the word “meat” with increasing intensity. Attempts to calm down SCP-XXXX-1 proved futile. The experiment was concluded shortly after and SCP-XXXX-1 was returned to its containment cell. |
Additional notes: It is safe to conclude that SCP-XXXX is most likely sapient and, with further experimentation, might be capable of learning English. It also appears to have a desire for meat, especially horse meat. I wonder how they might behave in groups?
SCP-XXXX Test Log: 00-3
Analysis of social behaviours exhibited by SCP-XXXX
| SCP-XXXX Test Log: 00-3 | |
| Subject | Multiple SCP-XXXX instances |
| Protocol | Six SCP-XXXX instances were placed in a 10x10 meter room with no furniture. Behaviour was observed through surveillance footage. |
| Results | SCP-XXXX instances immediately grouped to form three pairs. SCP-XXXX instances remained still throughout the experiment. The experiment concluded with no further happenings. |
Additional notes: SCP-XXXX appears to possess distinct social patterns. Could this be for predatory reasons? Further experimentation shall be conducted to further study the reasoning for this.
SCP-XXXX Test Log: 00-4
| SCP-XXXX Test Log: 00-4 | |
| Subject | Multiple SCP-XXXX instances |
| Protocol | SCP-XXXX instances were placed in the same room that was used in Test Log: 00-3. SCP-XXXX instances had were given five minutes to become acquainted with their environment. A live Clydesdale stallion was then brought into the chamber. Behaviour was observed through surveillance footage. |
| Results | The SCP-XXXX instances grouped similar to the previous experiment. When the Clydesdale was brought in, all SCP-XXXX instances clambered upon the horse, four of them biting into its windpipe and two of them ripping chunks of flesh from its behind. The horse died instantly and collapsed to the ground. The SCP-XXXX instances proceeded to [REDACTED]. After ten minutes, the horse was stripped completely clean of flesh. The experiment was concluded shortly after. |
Additional notes: SCP-XXXX is most definitely a carnivorous and opportunistic hunter. Numerous instances of SCP-XXXX banding together could prove to be very dangerous. I’ll make sure that security measures are improved and SCP-XXXX instances are kept separate at all times. For now, experimentation will be suspended until more information about its origin has been discovered.
Footnotes:
Experimentation on SCP-XXXX has been suspended until further information regarding the origins of SCP-XXXX has been discovered. No containment breaches have been recorded as of ██/██/██.
