Item #: SCP-4733
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures:
The land around SCP-4733 was bought and fenced off by the foundation as of 12/01/13. Trespassers must be politely escorted, as the anomalous properties of SCP-4733 are not visually apparent.
Security personnel are to be stationed around the entrance to SCP-4733 to avoid any instances of SCP-4733-B breaching containment. Exploration is to be approved by at least 2 Level 4 researchers. Leading any instances of SCP-4733-B through SCP-4733 is strictly forbidden and must be avoided at all costs.
Exploration of SCP-4733 beyond iteration 20 must be approved by at least one member of the O5 council.
Description:
SCP-4733 is a pillar in a hidden space located at 26.██████, 29.██████. The entrance to the tunnel is a wooden hatch attached to a rope ladder. The pillar is square and tapered, extending from the bottom of the space to the top, measuring 7 m tall and about 20 cm wide. The pillar contains inscriptions of an unknown language and anyone who can translate need to report to Site Director S██████.
It’s anomalous properties manifest when an individual revolves around it while the hatch is closed. Doing so will result in a smooth dimensional transition to parallel universes. For the purposes of documentation, clockwise revolutions will be notated as positive, and counterclockwise revolutions will be notated as negative. Continuous revolutions are not advised, to avoid encountering SCP-4733-B.
SCP-4733-B are humanoid entities that exist after numerous revolutions of SCP-4733 and are incredibly hostile to all sapient life. SCP-4733-B do not have eyes; in their place small holes with an unknown purpose. In the place of their mouth is a beak resembling that of an eagle’s. SCP-4733 is abnormally fast, traveling up to ███ mph. Upon discovering a victim, SCP-4733-B screeches, alerting the other instances of SCP-4733-B. Next, all alerted instances of SCP-4733-B begin to attack the subject, clawing at their face until they expire.
SCP-4733 was discovered when Explorer F██████ A████ entered and was reported missing. The distressed radio signals made it out of SCP-4733, which was intercepted by the Foundation. An investigation team was sent to explore SCP-4733 to discover its anomalous properties.
Addendum 4733.1: Exploration log #4733-Iota-10/11/13
Foreword: SCP-4733 has just been reported and its anomalous properties are currently unknown. The members of MTF Zeta-9 ("Mole Rats") were given a description of a brief analysis of the entrance and the area around it, and sent to investigate.

(The shuttle arrives at the station)
Iota-1: Are we all here?
Iota-3: Here.
Iota-2: I certainly am.
Iota-4: Yup.
(They approach and open SCP-4733's hatch revealing a rope ladder extending downwards the height of the cave.)
Iota-1: Let's move.
(Iota-1, -2, -3 and -4 drop down the hatch, entering the dark cave. The hatch closes.)
(They turn on their flashlight, revealing the small space they are in.)
Iota-3: If I know anything about caves, a little bubble like this shouldn't be happening.
Iota-4: Interesting you think that's weird considering we literally just [REDACTED].
(Exploration continues)
(Iota-3 points his flashlight towards SCP-4733, previously unseen due to the lack of lighting)
Iota-3: What is this thing here for?
Iota-1: Those look like symbols, and if I've ever learned anything from exploration logs, you guys should take out your guns.
Iota-2: I don't recognize these symbols.
(Iota-2 begins examining the pillar)
Iota-1: Hey two, where are you?
Iota-2: I am by the ladder, can you seriously not see me? Actually, where are you?
Iota-3: Crap, are you invisible now?
Iota-4: You can swear, three.
Iota-2: Hold up, I think we are in a spacial anomaly. The symbols were changing as I went around it.
Iota-3: Sweet. which direction? Clockwise or counterclockwise?
Iota-2: Clockwise.
Iota-4: Stay put. We'll meet you there.
<End Log>
Iota-1, Iota-2, Iota-3, and Iota-4 were instructed to explore and document each iteration, but be aware of the possibility of dangers. The results are documented in Document 4733-Iota.
Addendum 4733.2: Document 4733-Iota-10/11/13
Iota-1, Iota-2, Iota-3, and Iota-4 were instructed to investigate SCP-4733's parallel universes. (See Exploration log 4733.1)
Iteration 1: Humans seem to have disappeared completely. The shuttle is, however, present according to the real world.
Iteration 2: No change from iteration 1.
Iteration 3: Similar to iteration 1, but the sun is absent. Despite this, the temperature was a steady 37 degrees Celcius.
Iteration 4: Unknown. There seems to be a stone blocking the hatch.
Iteration 5: Similar to iteration 3 in that humans and the sun are absent, but the hatch opened up in Muecate, Mozambique.
Iteration 6: A completely flat desert located at the original location. The desert's size is unknown and is at least 50 km in diameter.
Many of the next iterations are previous iterations with small differences or another location. Significant or possibly significant changes are documented below.
Iteration 8: Visually identical to iteration 1. However, one disembodied beak of SCP-4733-B was found on the sand by the hatch.
Iteration 19: Visually identical to iteration 6, but footsteps are visible on the sand that trails off beyond view. Upon review of camera footage, the silhouette of an instance of SCP-4733-B can be seen in the distance.
Iteration 20: Similar to iteration 6, but a massive spherical object is visible in the sky, visually similar to the planet ██████. In addition to this, a broken compass presumably owned by Explorer F██████ A████ is present in the area with SCP-4733.
Iteration 32: Identical to iteration 1. Hatch opened up in the wall of a building in New York, New York. The gravity in the cave falls in the same direction in proportion to the pillar as the other iterations but exiting the hatch results in an abrupt change in the direction of gravity towards the ground.
Iteration 41: SCP-4733-B first spotted. The entity did not notice the presence of humans. Hatch opened in the same environment as iteration 6.
Iteration 60: Five instances of SCP-4733-B approached the team. The environment was identical to iteration 6. Iota-2 deceased. The remaining members were instructed to retreat and return to the shuttle. One instance of SCP-4733-B breached SCP-4733 and was immediately terminated.
Addendum 4733.3: Exploration log #4733-B-7/14/14
A drone was specially constructed to rapidly navigate SCP-4733, and placed inside SCP-4733. This experiment was conducted for the purpose of exploring iterations with extreme efficiency. The results are documented below.
Iteration -10: Completely identical to iteration 1 (See Document 4733.2, humans are absent in this iteration).
Iteration -50: Similar to iteration 1, but an instance SCP-4733-B was present, and began to run towards the drone.
Iteration -100: [ACCESS DENIED. LEVEL 4/4733.3 CLEARANCE REQUIRED]
Iteration -200: Hatch opened in a large deserted limestone structure. On the outside, there are several large limestone brick towers inhabiting instances of SCP-4733-B. Instances of SCP-4733-B were completely idle and did not seem to notice the drone.
Iteration -300: Instances of SCP-4733-B were stationed; seemingly patroling the hatch. The drone was instructed not to resume to avoid provoking them.
Iteration -431: An instance of SCP-4733-B was seen lying dormant on the ground inside SCP-4733's chamber. Upon approach, the instance turned its head towards the drone and began to chase, all while screeching. The drone retreated and going further has not been attempted yet. Another breach was attempted from an SCP-4733-B instance, and it was immediately terminated.
