SCP-7727 “Do Not Pet”
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP 7727 is to be kept at Site-██ in a 10x10 room designed to be similar to an urban Polish living room. There is to be a food and water bowl near the door and a dog bed in the farthest corner of the room as SCP 7727 spends most of it’s time docile or asleep. A research team under command of Dr.██████ and STF Gamma-38 ”Dog Sitters” are to monitor the entity constantly. STF Gamma-38 will be responsible for all care related to SCP-7727 including Feeding, Bathing, Physical activity, and human interaction.SCP-7727 may only leave it’s chamber to be bathed in an adjacent room or to be taken on walks around the facility. The entity is to be treated as a normal dog and in the event any tests must be run, request a D-Class personnel. SCP-7727 is not to be touched unless wearing full protective equipment. Any skin to “fur” contact with the entity results in death caused by █████████ Death occurs within 20-25 seconds after initial contact with the entity.
Description: SCP-7727 is a canine entity similar to that of a golden retriever, approximately 1.4 Meters in length and 25 kilograms. Entity age is unknown however the size and weight have been constant since 02/24/20██.SCP-7727 acts identical to the normal canine. Upon entering the containment chamber both test subjects and members of STF Gamma-38 report an indescribable scent emitting from the entity which in some cases causes an uncontrollable desire to touch the entity after removing safety gloves.

Dr.██████ Entered an animal shelter in ██████ ██████ with hopes to adopt a puppy for his daughter. Upon asking to view SCP-7727, an employee picked up the entity from it’s pen and proceeded to █████ and bleed from all facial orifices before dying. MTF Epsilon-6 and MTF ETA-30 were deployed to the area to contain the entity as well as begin anesthetic treatment to non foundation members who witnessed the event.

Dr.██████ was the first to notice the special handling requirements of the entity therefore the 05 council placed him in charge of SCP-7277 and formed STF Gamma-38 to assist him. The need of protective equipment was confirmed when D-4492 was asked to pet the entity and died almost instantly. Cause of death is unknown however symptoms were similar to that of the shelter worker. 02/15/20██ 15:35 hours was the first reported instance of the earlier aforementioned small by members of the research team.

STF Gamma-38 operative G-07 was taking SCP-7727 on it's daily walk through the wooded area near Site██. At 14:32 hours, G-07 and SCP-7727 encounter a rabid dog on the trail which began to attack G-07 however, SCP-7277 attacks the stray before breaking G-07's grip on the leash and chasing the dog into the woods. G-07 declares a containment breach and the remaining members of Gamma-38 as well as MTF ETA-30 who were at the site, began to mobilize to search for SCP-7277. The first showing of a confirmed breach was the discovery of the rabid dog G-07 had encountered found dead near the perimeter fence and the discovery of SCP-7277's tracking collar in the dirt on the other side of the fence. Site██ deployed a drone to find SCP-7277 before it reached the city of ██████. The drone picked up SCP-7277 8 minutes after initial containment breach and was 8.5 kilometers away from the site and approaching the city. It took Gamma-38 and ETA-30 25 minutes to reach the city of ██████. During this time SCP-7277 had come into contact with 156 civilians out of which 47 touched the entity and died. These deaths were witnessed by an estimated 400 people and MTF Epsilon-6 was deployed to bring the bodies to site██ for examination. While G-07 was initially blamed for the breach, there was no reports of a missing animal in the city and there was no evidence of how a normal stray canine could scale the 4 meter fence surrounding site ██ it is assumed the stray canine was an anomaly itself and will for now be labeled SCP-7277-01. G-07 was taken into questioning and described the stray dog to look and behave identically to SCP-7277.
Casualty report: 47 Civilians Dead
109 Civilians taken into questioning
400 Civilians given anesthetic treatment
Footnote: "STF Gamma-38", A stationary task force assigned to Site ██ consisting of 12 members to watch over and re-contain SCP-7277 in the event of a containment breach.
