Item #: SCP-6444
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-6444’s Keter Classification comes from the inability to control or maintain the manifestation of SCP-6444-2 instances in the outside world. Anomaly is to be kept at Dimensional Research Site-98 for specialized treatment of uncontainable trans-dimensional objects.
Containment Updates: ██/██/20██
As of ██/██/20██, SCP-6444 is to be contained at Integrated Containment Site-54 until further notice is given by 05 Command. (See Addendum: 6444-B2)
SCP-6444 is to be kept in a Medium to Small size intrusion resistant holding cell with internal; dimensions NOT exceeding measurements of 30m x 30m x 30m. Size is to maintain manifestations of SCP-0000-2 to an absolute minimum, as SCP-6444 does not seem to produce more separate anomalies than its surrounding housing can hold. Size is also to ensure SCP-6444’s spatial distortions do not contact the walls of the cell, causing unpredictable effects.
The cell should be designed to keep would be assailants out, rather than keeping SCP-6444 in. Ensure walls , ceiling, and floor are lined with 15cm thick, hardened steel plating. Security systems and defenses should include; 2 sets of double locking steel doors set to initiate lockdown under any and all site emergencies/containment breaches, numerous security cameras equipped with Cognitohazard-blocking optical lenses for proper viewing of SCP-6444, at least 12 BTB-MK2 incendiary devices mounted to the ceiling, and vents capable of creating a near 100% vacuum space within the cell in no more than 10 seconds. These measures are to eliminate or incapacitate, any and all intruding staff, outsiders, or escaped SCPs attempting to enter the anomaly’s holding cell during a lockdown event.
Airflow in the containment cell must have a centralized and isolated air conditioning system in place to maintain a consistent ambient temperature of 5-15°C to counteract SCP-6444’s natural heat generation. Air flow MUST NOT exceed a speed of 0.15 m/s to ensure SCP-6444 and manifestations of SCP-6444-2 are not moved around the holding cell. Site research staff and maintenance should be on a frequent watch for any fluctuations on the cells mounted anemometer.
Description: SCP-6444 is best described as a ”somewhat amorphous, yet still relatively circular, anomaly known to distort light, the fabric of space/reality, and time within the surrounding 5-15 meters of its centralized mass”. Due to SCP-6444
’s inherent ability to warp space around it those observing have difficulty defining the anomaly as three dimensional. stating that it “changes the way you perceive it depending on the angle you view from”.

This inability to properly comprehend SCP-0000’s shape and form in our reality causes minor cognitohazardous effects in those observing the anomaly for more than 20-30 minutes. Such effects include but are not limited to: dizziness, confusion, nausea, fainting, disassociation, perceived spatial displacement, feelings of dread, thoughts of existentialism, suicidal thoughts and/or actions, etc. All research staff starting to feel said effects should vacate the containment cell or observation deck for a minimum of 2 hours. Effects have not been known to be long lasting or permanent but please be advised to report any lasting effects to your onsite medical staff and counseling teams for mental evaluation.
