Description:
SCP-XXXX is a ~245 m² Victorian-era house located around 15 miles for Newcastle, England. It was once owned by the ██████ family, whose last member, Charles, died in 1917 in the Battle of Arras during World War I. After his death, the house started exerting it's anomalous properties. The Foundation purchased the house and surrounding property in 1924, after reports of "random humming" in the area.

When a British person enters the 200 metre radius of SCP-XXXX, they will begin hearing a soft humming of patriotic British songs1. Some of the heard songs were:The British Grenadiers, Rule Britannia, God Save the Queen and 26 others. All attempts to record the songs have been unsuccessful, even when using devices of British origin.

When a German or Turk2 enters the 200 metre radius of SCP-XXXX, they will begin hearing the same humming, but much more agressive and almost deafening. When in the radius for more than 5 minutes they will begin showing signs of paranoia and anxiety, but no further effects were recorded.

Note: it appears that having mixed German-Turkish background leads to the amplification of the hum, see Addendum-XXXX-C.

When a British person lives in SCP-XXXX, they will over time develop increased agression towards people from the nations that were on the side of the Central Powers during World War I3. After around a year of living in the house, the subject will claim to remember memories of World War I, and even experience "shell shock". After more than 2 years of living in SCP-XXXX, the subject will experience vivid hallucinations of people wearing war uniforms and holding rifles, which they will experience until their death. For a more deatiled report, see Addendum-XXXX-B.
