Containment Procedures SCP-XXXX is currently contained in a small, 5x10x10 meter metal, unmonitored room behind glass. It is being kept in a large, above ground facility. Do not, under any circumstances, let anyone play SCP-XXX. Touching SCP-XXXX is safe, as we have had multiple D-Class personal touch it to no avail, but plucking even one string, despite its pure beauty, can and will be deadly. It is unmonitored, but we continue to study its properties.
Description As of writing this report, SCP-XXXX has taken the form of a red Fender Stratocaster (electric guitar) SCP-XXXX is a harmless object, as long as you don't play it. It has been in possession of multiple famous guitarists, such as Kurt Cobain, Jeff Buckley and most recently, Elliot Smith. All three at one point in time possessed this guitar, and all three have died under mysterious and suspicious circumstances. Anyone who plays this guitar will sound beautiful, but anyone who plays it will die mysteriously. Upon the organization confiscating the object in late 2005, we have discovered that multiple instruments with properties like SCP-XXXX have existed throughout human history, starting with the Greek legend of Apollo's Lyre. We suspect that SCP-XXXX may be able to shape shift, but as we have only seen it in one form, we cannot confirm this. The organization has only found SCP-XXXX, but we suspect that there are more instruments with properties like it.
