Unauthorised Access Will Result In Disciplinary Action
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4391-A through SCP-4391-J are to be kept in seperate 3m2 containment cells at Site-63's Medium-Containment Wing. The interior walls, floor and ceiling of each cell should be lined with 2cm of rusted iron. Items that can produce or reflect any kind of light are under no circumstances to be allowed entry into any of the cells. This includes torches, ceiling lights, mirrors, windows and any polished metals. Guards are to be posted at the entrance of each cell to make sure this is adhered to.
Following the death of Dr. █████ (See Incident Report 4391/A), any personnel expressing a desire to introduce SCP-4391 to any of the aforementioned materials or begin to get obsessed by it, should be reported to Head Researcher Richardson, administered a Class-A amnistetic and subsequently reassigned to another Foundation facility.
Due to the prohibition of windows from SCP-4391's containment cells, SCP-4391 can only be observed through the use of cameras equipped with night vision technology. However, under orders from Site Director Gibbons, researchers are not to be allowed to study or observe SCP-4391 for more than three hours at a time, with a minimum rest period of four hours. This order extends to Head Researcher Richardson.
SCP-4391 as it was discovered in ████, Portugal
Description: SCP-4391 is a collection of 10 crudely carved limestone statues (SCP-4391-A to SCP-4391-J), each measuring up to 2.6 metres in height. Each of the figures depict one or more humanoids in various stances, but all are seen to be staring at the sky. The statues are part of an art piece called "Os Observadores" (The Watchers), sculpted by ██████ ███████. It has been noted by Head Researcher Richardson that when observing any of the ten statues through a live camera feed, the sculptures will face always appear to face the direction of the recording device, regardless of the statues actual position. See below for a full description of each statue:
| Name | Height | Description |
|---|---|---|
| SCP-4391-A | 1.7m | SCP-4391-A depicts a sitting woman with her arms behind her back and her legs crossed. Like the other statues, SCP-4391-A stares blankly at the sky. |
| SCP-4391-B | 2.2m | SCP-4391-B depicts a crouching man, with its arms leaning on its knees. The figure appears to be wearing a ████-brand coat. |
| SCP-4391-C | 2.4m | SCP-4391-C is a man with his hands in its pockets wearing business attire, including a tie, a shirt and a pair of trousers. |
| SCP-4391-D | 2.25m | SCP-4391-D appears as a teenager in casual clothing with its arms crossed. |
| SCP-4391-E | 2.3m | SCP-4391-E is a large man wearing a hoodie. The statue is depicted with its arms behind its back |
| SCP-4391-F | 2.2m | SCP-4391-F is one of only two other statues which portrays more than one figure. The more prominent of the two figures is an old lady wearing a skirt. The woman holds the hand of a small child who clasps the leg of the woman. |
| SCP-4391-G | 2.55m | SCP-4391-G delineates a man and what is presumed to be its partner. The man is 0.3m taller than the woman and its left arm rests on the shoulder of the woman who appears to be pregnant. |
| SCP-4391-H | 1.9m | SCP-4391-H is similar in appearance to SCP-4391-C but can be distinguished by a large book under its left arm and its somewhat shorter stature. |
| SCP-4391-I | 2.15m | SCP-4391-I depicts a woman wearing a shin-length dress and glasses. Its right hand holds a dog leash which connects to a separate dog statue. The dog stands near the woman and stares at the sky in the same fashion as its owner. |
| SCP-4391-J | 2.2m | SCP-4391-J shows a man in a baggy jumper and trousers holding a briefcase in his left hand. |
Staying in close proximity to any of the statues has caused discomfort and uneasiness in all test subjects with some stating "That they weren't alone". Prolonged exposure has resulted in test subjects to want to find an 'entity' that they often refer to as "The Watched" (Henceforth referred to as SCP-4391-1). Exposing the statues to a strong light source or allowing the test subjects to stare at a reflective material for an extended period of time whilst in the presence of a statue induces acute agitation in the subject and gives them an increased need to find SCP-4391-1. Upon 'discovery' of the entity, subjects will proceed to stare wherever they perceive SCP-4391-1 to be, this can either be a shadow or a reflective surface. Depending on the subject, they will either continue staring until they collapse or they enter a state of rambling (See Abridged Test Log: 4391/1-5).
