they came from the stars to be stars
Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: Scp-XXXX instances are currently uncontained, due to their similarity to baseline terrestrial humans, and modern psychology typically designating SCP- XXXX instances as having mild developmental disorders. Such as [Redacted] [Redacted], and [Redacted]. Due to the risk of provoking violent retaliation from the SCP-XXXX Space Faring Vessels detainment or containment of SCP-XXXX instances can only be approved by unanimous 05 approval.
Description: SCP-xxxx is the collective designation of a Non-terrestrial human species, whom arrived in our Solar system sometime in 19XX. By unknown means several thousand Scp-XXXX adolescent instances were trans-located from a space faring Vessel, and into terrestrial human households, housing a married infertile couple between the ages of 30-45. These baseline humans were also, by unknown means transplanted with false memories of adopting and raising the specific Scp-XXXX instance in their household, additionally said SCP-XXXX instances appear to have also either had false memories implanted or are perpetuating a massive disinformation campaign about their appearance on earth.
The Foundation became aware of SCP-XXXX presence on earth by investigating a large upturn in unexplained adoptions in 19XX and an increased diagnosis rate of [Redacted], a developmental disorder on the autism spectrum. The presence of SCP-XXXX instances was later confirmed using census data collected globally which did show an unexplained population increase of humans between the ages of 7 - 12. The Foundation strategically placed psychologists in known SCP-XXXX housing towns. To acquire further observations on the believed anomaly. The following is a list of traits common among SCP-XXXX instances.
- Difficulty reading non-verbal communication (it is believed SCP-XXXX
Society evolved without emphasis on Non-verbal communication, it is believed this effects their ability to raise their own children).
- Literal interpretation of most spoken instructions, and difficulty understanding
metaphor, simile, and sarcasm. (If told to go jump off a bridge, an SCP-XXXX instance would either follow the instruction or respectfully decline the invitation).
- A strong tendency towards introvert behavior. (SCP-XXXX instances
Seem to enjoy being alone and prefer to be left alone, they will actively socialize on the internet.)
- Difficulty forming interpersonal relationships
- Impressive recall skills (members of the XXXX species have
incredible memories, especially in reference to Subjects or topics they enjoy).
- Despite commonly being attributed with certain developmental orders by psychologists, SCP-XXXX instances appear to have much higher than average intelligence, often bordering on gifted. Though their scores in emotional intelligence are often well below average often leading to diagnosis of [redacted] Personality Disorder, or similar such disorders
- A far greater than average number of SCP-XXXX instances show signs of asexuality by comparison to terrestrial humans. While not all instances of SCP-XXXX species are asexual, it is interesting to note that such a high number exists within their populations.
- Data Dumping behavior is common among SCP-XXXX instances, if asked about something they particularly enjoy, they will speak relentlessly and without pause on the topic, only stopping to chastise people whom interrupt them. One patient of mine extended our session to roughly 3 hours as he told me about his favorite cartoon; episode for episode in detail.
- Strong critical analysis skills are common in SCP-XXXX instances as well. Though these critical analysis skills are typically based on a set of rules acquired from texts or authorities on the subject. A SCP-XXXX instance whom considers themselves a literary expert would mirror the opinions or rules they have learned and hold them as gospel.
- Strong adherence to the concepts of honesty are prevalent as well. SCP-XXXX instances seem to have trouble telling even the simplest of lies, and if they discover they have been deceived, often struggle with the concept. Often resulting in emotional breakdowns.
SCP-XXXX instances were gathered from around the globe as part of a Foundation initiative to measure the threat level of these non-terrestrial humans being found on earth. At the time there was a fear of an SK-Class Dominance Shift Scenario. The following information was discovered between 20XX - 20XX prior to incident Omega-1 and 05 command unanimously deciding to cease all research into confirmed SCP-XXXX instances.
Biology: SCP-XXXX have a nearly identical biology to terrestrial humans, in almost every way with a few exceptions. SCP-XXXX instances show a much more complex blood vessel network in the heart and lungs, making them seemingly more likely to survive heart attacks. Also the gall bladders of SCP-XXXX instances show a much higher chance of developing gall stones, often leading to the organs removal by age 30. SCP-XXXX instances by all accounts seem to be aging at the same rate as terrestrial humans, since the oldest instance of SCP-XXXX is roughly 55 years of age, it is yet unknown if they possess a longer life span then humans. Finally SCP-XXXX instances seem to have a fondness to food preservatives, and seem to find them an improvement in most food sources, leading them to often have a diet of primarily canned foods.
Genetics: SCP-XXXX instances have a genetic structure indistinguishable from terrestrial humans, with the exception of mitochondrial DNA which unlike their normal tissue DNA, seems to share no common ancestors with baseline humans. This difference does not seem to effect them negatively or positively.
Physical Resistance: With the exception of resilience to cardiac failure, SCP-XXXX instances have no noteworthy physical adaptations that terrestrial humans do not.
Neuro-Biology: In this area the SCP-XXXX species shows the most variation from terrestrial humans. The area normally occupied by the Right Supramarginal Gyrus is completely missing and is replaced with an additional neuron cluster currently not understood by The Foundation. These neuron clusters are also present in the Premotor Cortex, and Inferior Parietal Cortex. These clusters are located in sections commonly believed to be related to human empathy. This most likely explains the apparent lack of empathy and isolationist behavior exhibited by SCP-XXXX. These neuron clusters also appear to have very complex connections to other parts of the brain, possibly causing the above average intelligence noted in this species.
Dr. [Redacted] Notes: While SCP-XXXX psychology is just beginning to be understood the existing common diagnosis of [redacted], [redacted], and [redacted], or any existing Autism Spectrum Disorders is plain wrong. Fundamentally speaking the species has a very different brain structure. Providing terrestrial human diagnosis to SCP-XXXX behavior is by all accounts wrong, and damaging to the understanding them. Though further research could aid us in understanding human disorders resembling the pathology of SCP-XXXX.
Final Notes: I am not even 100 percent sure these aren’t just normal humans from an alternate reality or different timeline as there does not seem to be anything bizarre about them. I am not even sure this should be an SCP or in anyway on the foundations radar. If it wasn’t for the information about them apparently coming from space, I’d personally tell the 05’s to drop the SCP designation on these poor mooks. Unfortunately I recently told 05 - 2 that she had a face the size of a dinner plate, so I am pretty sure I should keep off the radar for awhile
Dr. [redacted]
While interviewing with a confirmed SCP-XXXX instance, a ship entered low earth orbit, no system was able to detect it until a Foundation A.I. noticed small atmospheric changes in its trajectory into our lower atmosphere. The ship seemed to have advanced camouflage technology unknown to earth, it is also believed to have arrived at earth at previously unfathomable speeds.
<Begin Log>
Dr. [Redacted]: Yes please do go on, I think your idea for a movie adaptation of our organization is fascinating (obvious sarcasm and aggravation).
SCP-XXXX: Well see you have all these wacky things in here, so what if someone were to tell the story of just a day in the life of a security guard or a Dr. It would be so cool! You could play it straight like a slice of life piece, or funny like a comedy, you could make it all dark and spooky like horror. You could even do a mix of all three. See there’s really infinite potential here. I’ve written about 300 pages for a screen play already
SCP-XXXX opens a pile of papers in front of him
SCP-XXXX: if you wouldn’t mind I am going to read you a little bit from this! I am really excited about it, I think the Mark Twain touch I have put on it makes it a good social commentary on the state of 4chan. It won’t take up much of your time
Dr. [Redacted]: Oh yes please do.
(3 hours of extraneous dialogue removed for brevity)
Dr. [Redacted] walks over to the intercom system on the wall
Dr. [Redacted]: We’re gonna need a sedative in here, please and thank you.
At this point in time the ship was detected moments after entry into our atmosphere. The SCP-XXXX instance being interviewed ceased vocalization and tilted it’s head back, it is reported that it’s eyes took on the appearance of TV static and it began to vocalize in a different voice. The voice is reported to have sounded like 1950’s radio broadcast.
SCP-XXXX: We of the [redacted] peoples have been observing your peoples constant detainment, research, and prodding of our young transplanted onto your planet. While we appreciate your assistance in their rearing and understand that there is a price to pay for your services. We can no longer sit idly by as you drug our children. Drugs are bad, especially the drugs your species uses. We have placed a destroyer vessel in low earth orbit around your planet, and are transmitting this message through this member of our species. Should you drug him, kill him, or in any way seek to perpetrate violence against our vessel. All our peoples will be removed from your planet and your planet will be deleted from this cosmos. We have the technology to do so in an instant. Dr. [Redacted] this one will soon be a writer for a hit television series which will have 6 seasons and no movie. You will listen to his screenplay which will never be made, and you will offer proper critique on it, or you will personally be punished. This is an important stage in his life and you are needed for his development. To your overseers, following this interview you are to release our peoples from captivity, and provide them with enough currencies to start normal lives. You are permitted to use memory redactive therapy to maintain your veil of secrecy. The terms are set and the punishment for disobedience is known. We will be watching.
At this point the SCP-XXXX instance regained normal behavior and continued reading from his screenplay as though nothing had happened. Dr. [Redacted] sat through an 18 hour reading of SCP-XXXX’s screenplay and would later be placed on psychiatric leave following an unsuccessful suicide attempt.
All instances of SCP-XXXX in Foundation custody were released following the incident and all efforts to directly interact with the SCP-XXXX instances on earth are halted. It should be noted that the interviewed SCP-XXXX instance did go on to write a successful television show that went on for 6 seasons, and has gone on to write a successful cartoon show currently heading into it’s fourth season as of 20XX
Dr. [Redacted] is not to be asked about either of these television shows, as he has twice now had to be sedated after hearing about their success.
