Special Containment procedures:
instances of scp-xxxx-01 to be contained in a standard hazardous materials locker, a single bottle in each, with additional padding within it. The locker is to be labeled "The Opposite of Vodka" as Dr._ and Dr. ___ have determined would be the best way to prevent accidental exposure or accidental scp-xxxx-02 or -03 incident. Scp-xxxx-02 is to be contained within a partitioned standard humanoid containment unit. The partition which it will stay is required to have negative air pressure, with the other partitions to be vacated and sealed off with valves. An automated system is in place to depressurize -02 using the preexisting vacuum to containment. In the event of a scp-xxxx-03 incident, a low level containment breach is to be sounded and MTF-sigma 12 [Damage Control] is to be dispatched to attempt de-escalating the instance so it can be recontained inside a standard glass adult drink bottle. Outside of O5 approved testing, this set of 14 lockers is not to be approached while open. Tests are to be monitored via microphone only, no visuals are to be provided until after 03 has been recontained and the bottle secured in the locker.
Description: scp-xxxx-01is a set of glass bottles of varying size, all of which have a gray swirling fluid within them, each scrawled with the words "Storm in a Bottle" through unknown means. The lettering appears to dissipate once the bottle has been broken (see addendum). Scp-xxxx-1-B is currently 2 bottles of a red variant of the fluid, which has slightly different effects.
Scp-xxxx-02 is a person who has experienced some form of deep emotional trauma who had bonded with the bottle and had attempts at opening
Scp-xxxx-03 is the result of "the storm being unleashed" where the fluid vaporizes rapidly and creates excessive turbulence in the surrounding air. Designated xxxx-03-B for red variant. Tests have shown that it cannot pass through fine mesh filters for unknown reasons, and depressurization has been found to be an effective way to "calm the storm" in the event it is released outside of scp-xxxx-02's containment, MTF sigma 12 is to collectively "whisper sweet nothings" until it forms a manageable pellet (see addendum)
scp-xxxx was found in an apartment complex near a town, Maine. Its occupants appeared to have died of dehydration with noticeable tear streaks from the dust caked onto them. All bottles were intact, but local law enforcement felt that it had a bond with something unpleasant from their past, so was reluctantly accepted to the foundation. Upon this transfer, one of the bottles slipped and broke as it was being moved to processing. Upon breaking, the fluid turned into a maelstrom that caused $6,000 in damages. The anomaly was subdued by chance as a newly made mother walked by the door. She had opened it and subconsciously started to soothe it. The winds died down and the fluid condrnsed into a pellet easily set into a bottle. This D class was permitted to train MTF sigma 12, as it is believed that maternal instinct had a role to play in this containment.
No testing on this pellet is permitted, as it is very unstable and will not react to any stimulus other than being put into a bottle and having the cap sealed to it
Addendum xxxx-4
The subject was given a bottle and set into a chamber with a vacuum pump. The subject opened the bottle and was told to describe its sensation. Subject simply responded "pain" with voice trailing. The pump was turned on and the fluid began to recondense, where at 50.7 kPa it was fully condensed to its pelleted form. The subject was barely conscious so pressure was slowly restored, where the pellet was put into a new bottle, where it wrote "storm in a bottle" as it expanded to fill its capacity. Measures have been taken to have a much more controlled experimentation. Cross scp testing has yet to be approved
Subject reported to feel more at ease, more awake, and was in a much more cheerful disposition. Class B amnestic was applied where the subject did not revert, however had slightshock from their apparently sudden change in disposition
"Why does it do this now and not when it was first dropped?"Dr. _
Addendum xxxx-07
Two D-Class were to be put into a chamber, one was instructed to open the bottle while one sat observing. Both were to describe any sensations. D-4936 and D-4938 had been brought willingly after one fellow D-Class had had a mishap with an ecposed electrical wire. D-4936 was instructed to open the bottle. Upon opening the two reported a wind that "Felt like razor blades on sheep". After 10 minutes the two reported that the wind was getting more violent, that the two had to yell to be able to hear one another. No wind was picked up on the microphone, their yelling was comparable to if they were yellingin an empty room. The chamber was depressurized and a gray pellet formed between them. The two reported no difference in emotional state. D-4938 and D-4938 were administered Class B amnestic after the pellet was sealed into the bottle
"Well that explains that, but what about this wind"
Addendum xxxx-14
D-5774 was given a bottle, along with a sample of Cylindropuntia bigelovii (cholla teddy bear cactus) and a sheet of paper. D-5774 requested to have the cactus "So if it flys around i'll know if it hits me". The bottle was opened and D-5774 reported only the word "pain" in a calm voice. After 10 minutes a pellet formed, however neither the cactus or the paper were moved. Subject administered Class B amnestic after the pellet was sealed into the bottle
"That really sucked"
Two variants of a red fluid can be contained as per its counterpart gray fluid, however it's advised that any personnel in direct contact to not have had any emotional distress due to a loved one within a period of 30 days from its peak aftereffect, specifically a romantic partner, as its effects are much more harsh. Testing is not permitted with the red variant for the chance of emotional runaway. To subjects which do fall in this group, the bottle will appear to be filled with a clear liquid, and when questioned it will have a scent not dissimilar to a mixture of vodka and "the color red". This fluid as observed by staff envelops the subject in question and takes on a glossy appearance. This center will proceed to create the standard gray fluid for a period of time between 5 to 25 minutes. After this time the fluids will condense by themselves into several gray pellets and a single red pellet. The subject ends up being terminated in the process, with visible tear streaks on their face. Testing with the red variant has also resulted in more instances of the gray variant, leading to the current number of 14 from the initial 4 gray and 2 red recovered.
"Well that was a very unfortunate waste of a good researcher, if it were D-Class maybe it wouldn't have been as bad"
