Some formatting stuff you should know:
- Words in [square parentheses] mean that I couldn't find the appropriate clinical terminology/phrase, and am using it as a placeholder to prevent loss of thought-train.
- Anything that massively changes will generally be put in red text to show what has changed between drafts.
- I suck at formatting and sticking to my own rules. Have fun with that.
Notes for me:
DRAFT 1: Telephone with profound psychological effects can also cause people to fucking vanish.
Heart of a City: may be more apt as a tale rather than a scip. Will have to finish drafting to determine.
Reality Deconstruct: Base idea of "give a bixby dissociative episodes and have that impair or affect how they affect reality", i.e thoughts of nothing being real slowly deconstructs the reality itself. This in turn can cause biological entities (read: personnel) to slowly break down and vanish or vanish entirely and instantly if they saunter into an -A instance with Hume levels in the negatives. Conveying that is the fun bit.
Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: tastes like pennies
Special Containment Procedures: one (1) Boxy Lad
Description:

Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in an underground containment chamber measuring 3 x 3 x 3m. The containment cell temperature is to be constantly maintained at 40°C, with humidity levels at 0% to prevent degradation while also minimising the object's effects. The cell walls are to be lined with conductive faraday shield meshing in order to prevent the object from interfering with external equipment.
Under no circumstances is the object to come into contact with electrical equipment, and any testing is strictly prohibited.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a metallic spherical object approximately 1.7m in diameter. It is composed of various metallic elements, some of which include iron, zinc, and a substance known as ████████.
The object possesses superconductive magnetic qualities — however, unlike standard electromagnets of a similar calibre, the object is able to function at temperatures greater than -150°C.
When allowed access to sources of electrical energy the object becomes more volatile. Researchers have noted an increase in electromagnetic activity directly proportional to the amount of energy consumed by the object, as well as an increase in the rate of energy consumption correlating with electromagnetic activity. The object is capable of drawing electrical energy from most electronic equipment, chemical sources such as batteries, and static electricity. Researchers have yet to discover any limit to the object's energy consumption or its methods of electromagnetic conductivity.
From what personnel have gathered, it would appear that the object is a part of a far larger construct. What this construct is exactly is unknown, though some speculate it to be a component of a power generator — the origins of which are also not entirely known.
Discovery: According to supplementary field documentation, SCP-XXXX was discovered circa 1940 — however, database entries show that the object was contained as of 13/02/2017.
SCP-XXXX was discovered in Munich, Germany in 1941, in possession of scientists working under the Nazi regime. It is unknown how these scientists obtained this object, though it was labelled in their documentation as '[a weapon] more than likely constructed by the enemy to bring about terrible destruction.'
The object, however, was not contained by Foundation personnel at this time, as it was reported missing a few days later by MTF Phi-12 "Chronomancers" — along with one of their taskforce members.
The object and missing agent did not appear again until early 2017, where the object was successfully contained and the agent was subsequently detained for debriefing. The agent has since refused to speak of the matter directly.
Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid Keter
Special Containment Procedures: As of ██/██/██, containment procedures have been revised.
SCP-XXXX is to be kept within a standard humanoid containment cell. There are to be no windows present on any surface. Instead, observation of the subject and its behaviour is to be carried out via surveillance system. Hume levels within the cell are to be monitored at all times via the stationed Kant counters and scanners. Rapid fluctuations in Hume levels are to be reported immediately to both site command and psychology HoD (currently Dr. Katherine Rösch).
Access for personnel Level 3 and under is prohibited without permission from site command. Anyone found to have unauthorised access to the containment cell will be detained immediately and subsequently demoted.
[Use of Scranton Reality Anchors are prohibited unless in an emergency, as these have shown to further deteriorate the mental wellbeing of SCP-XXXX.]
Description: SCP-XXXX is a humanoid entity of indeterminable sex and race. Subject is believed to be approximately 20 years old, and lacks any defining physical traits such as body hair or secondary sex characteristics. This appearance is thought to be a result of the entity's current psychological state.
SCP-XXXX displays many psychological traits associated with PTSD and, as a result of such, severe dissociative episodes. During these episodes, the area SCP-XXXX is currently capable of perceiving (designated SCP-XXXX-A) will gain several anomalous properties: firstly, Hume readings taken inside the area will show a zero or negative rating, and secondly, the entirety of SCP-XXXX-A will become imperceptible to human observers.
Instances of SCP-XXXX-A mapped by Kant scanners show inconsistency in the distribution of Hume throughout the entirety of the instance. There is currently no known reason as to why this occurs.
Any biological entities that enter SCP-XXXX-A instances will cease to exist in our reality.
