Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be stored in a secure locker at Site-██. Use of SCP-XXXX in testing may only be granted at the authorization of Level 3 personnel. Test subjects must wear a small two-way radio, in order to stay in contact with researchers, and a body mounted camera. Following the results of Test XXXX-2, D-Class subjects are no longer allowed to be used for testing of SCP-XXXX.

Description: SCP-XXXX is black sleep mask, with a label attached stating that it is a product of popular the clothing company [REDACTED]. Upon investigation this company was found to produce no such product. SCP-XXXX's anomalous effects occur once an individual wears SCP-XXXX over their eyes. The subject will immediately fall into a deep, comatose-like state, unable to be awoken by anything other than removing SCP-XXXX from the subject. Once awoken, subjects always report having been in a dream in which their environment, physical condition, and all items on their person at the time of putting on SCP-XXXX, including SCP-XXXX itself, are exactly the same as they appeared in reality at the time of putting on SCP-XXXX, with the only major difference being the absence of any other humans. During testing of SCP-XXXX, it was found that any items such as radios and cameras brought into the dream will still transmit to reality, even if it was turned off when the subject enters the dream. Any items held by the subject when awoken will be brought back into reality with them.

If the subject is to put on the copy of SCP-XXXX they have with them in the dream, it will have the same effect as in reality, causing the wearer to enter a second iteration of the dream, along with anything they had from the first iteration. This process can be repeated endlessly. Anything transmitting from the first dream into reality will begin transmitting from the second, and so on. Testing has has concluded that as subjects continue to enter further dreams, the environment around them will begin to change. At first, only minor changes are present, such as rooms being in the incorrect location, but as subjects move deeper into the dreams, more bizarre events will occur, often having a relation to the subjects greatest fear. Addendum-XXXX: SCP-XXXX Test Logs

Test XXXX-1

Subject is D-5982. Subject is equipped with two-way radio and body mounted video camera. The following is a transcript of the event. Test is supervised by Dr. C████, with armed security nearby. Test is conducted within D-5982's cell, with the door left open. Subject is known to have severe arachnophobia.

Dr. C████: What can you see?

D-5982: Looks just like my cell, 'cept none of you are here.

Dr. C████: OK, please leave the cell and explore your immediate surroundings.

[Subject leaves holding cell and walks to the end of the hallway, to find a locked door, just as in reality.]

D-5982: I can't go anywhere else Doc, the doors are all locked.

Dr. C████: That's fine D-5982, please put SCP-XXXX back over your eyes.

D-5982: Wait, what!? Again? What's gonna happen if I wear it again while in here?

Dr. C████: You're safe D-5982, just follow instructions, and relay any differences you see in your surroundings

[Test continues in this way, with the subject coming to a locked door at the end of the hallway until the tenth dream in.]

D-5982: Doc, something's different. The door's at the wrong end of the hallway.

Dr. C████: Please proceed to the door and attempt to open it.

D-5982: Sorry, it's still locked.

[Subject enters three dreams deeper before being able to open the door, and is guided through the facility as best as possible, despite rooms seemingly shifting, and the overall layout of the Site being incorrect in D-5982's dream. Subject enters five dreams deeper.]

D-5982: HOLY SHIT!

Dr. C████: What's wrong?

D-5982: THERE'S A FUCKING MASSIVE SPIDER IN MY CELL!

Dr. C████: We see it, please leave your cell as normal and-

[Subject, in an attempt to escape the spider in his cell, immediately places SCP-XXXX over his eyes. Over the next 20 dreams entered, multiple arachnids of various species and size begin appearing more and more frequently as time goes on.]

D-5982: Can you fucking get me out of here already? I don't know how much more I can stand of this.

Dr. C████: We won't keep you in there for much longer, just go five dreams deeper, and we'll wake you up.

[Subject puts on SCP-XXXX and wakes up in the next dream covered in hundreds of arachnids of varying size and species.]

D-5982: FUCKING HELL! GET ME OUT OF HERE! PLEASE!

[The real SCP-XXXX is removed from subjects body. As he wakes up, hundred of arachnids suddenly materialise on his body. Due to his uncontrollable state, subject is terminated.]

Note: It's good to know that subjects can pull things out of the dreams as well as bring them in. SCP-XXXX seems to take information from the subject's brain, just as normal dreams are created, incorporating their fears and knowledge into them, which may be why the layout of the site was all wrong, because the D-Class hadn't seen much of it. Next time let's somebody with a more manageable fear, I'm still finding spiders crawling around my office - Dr. C████

Test XXXX-2

Subject is D-5354. Subject is equipped with two-way radio and body mounted video camera. The following is a transcript of the event. Test is supervised by Dr. C████, with armed security nearby. Test is conducted within D-5354's cell, with the door closed and locked. Subject is known to have claustrophobia.

[First eleven dreams entered showed no remarkable changes in environment.]

D-5354: Uhhh… hey, I found something.

Dr. C████: What is it?

D-5354: A gun, and it's loaded.
Dr. C████: Leave it where it is, and enter the next dream. Continue reporting on anything you find.

[Subject enters six dreams deeper, with the gun being present in every one, before another change is discovered.]

D-5354: Oh my god! I see you all standing here like before I went in, but none of you are moving, you're like statues.
Dr. C████: We see them, continue as before.

[Over the next 7 dreams entered, the subject's cell gradually gets smaller, until the ceiling is touching the subjects head while standing.]

D-5354: How much fucking longer do I gotta do this!? I'm freaking out here, can't you see the rooms gonna crush me if I keep going?!

Dr. C████: Please remain calm and continue as planned, this will be over shortly.

D-5354: FUCK YOU!

[Subject grabs gun still present in the cell within the dream and shoots the inert Dr. C████ standing in the dream through the head. In reality, a bullet wound spontaneously appears in Dr. C████'s head, killing him. Subject is terminated and SCP-XXXX is removed. Dr. M███ now in charge of testing.]

Note: It appears that if any humans appear in any of SCP-XXXX's dreams, then anything affecting them there will affect them in real life too. Due to this test, I am stating that D-Class personnel are no longer to be tested with SCP-XXXX, due to the unpredictability of their actions. It is currently unknown whether or not SCP-XXXX is sentient, and used D-5354's fear to manipulate him into killing Dr. C████, or it was just his hatred of the foundation manifesting itself within the dreams. Further testing is required. - Dr. M███.

Test XXXX-3

Subject is Agent Carson. Subject is equipped with two-way radio and body mounted video camera, as well as a standard firearm, in case of hostile entities manifesting within the dream. The following is a transcript of the event. Test is supervised by Dr. M███, with armed security nearby. Test is conducted within Agent Carson's living quarters, with the door open. Subject has stated that he has no serious fears.

Dr. M███: You OK in there, agent?

Agent Carson: Doing just fine doctor.

Dr. M███: Good, as we're monitoring you, we want you to to try and leave the facility. Once outside, put on SCP-XXXX again, and try to make your way to the exit again, telling us any differences you see on the way.

Agent Carson: Gotcha.

[Subject makes way out of facility with no problem for first five dreams, with each dream afterwards becoming slightly slower as rooms and layout of the site change, confusing subject. This continues until the thirty-second dream entered, in which subject's living quarters opens directly into SCP-████'s containment cell. SCP-████ attacks subject as SCP-XXXX is removed from subject's unconscious body. SCP-████ materialises in the room, leading to 8 deaths until [DATA EXPUNGED].

Note: What the hell was Dr. M███ thinking? If he thought it was sentient and used the subject's knowledge to attack us then why use somebody who knows of multiple aggressive anomalies that want us all dead? Testing is to be postponed until further notice. - Site Director.
