SCP-6129

Item #: SCP-6129

Object Class: Euclid Neutralized

Special Containment Procedures: As of the time of writing, SCP-6129 is considered to be Neutralized. Decommissioning paperwork is currently being processed.

Description: SCP-6129 is a psychic organism approximately five thousand years of age, calling itself "Amon," which it will henceforth be referred as for clarity. Amon is both formless and nonphysical, subsisting entirely off of brainwaves. It is parasitic in nature, needing a human host in order to further its lifestyle. Subjects possessed by Amon are henceforth referred to as instances of SCP-6129-1, and experimentation has shown that they surrender all higher brain functions to Amon without fail, similar to SCP-963. SCP-6129-1 instances retain some aspects of their previous identities' personalities, often limited to hobbies and speech patterns, with the remainder being replaced with Amon's "true" personality consistent throughout all previous iterations. While SCP-6129-1 instances do not retain higher brain functions after termination of biological life, memories from Amon's perspective are consistent from host to host. Amon is not able to access memories that SCP-6129-1 made before possession occured.

After a period of inhabiting SCP-6129-1 for at least one week five days, Amon has the ability to possess a new host if the current SCP-6129-1 instance is killed. Experiments have determined that the human that becomes the next SCP-6129-1 instance is determined by whichever human's brain is closest to the current SCP-6129-1's own at the time of death. The range for this possession has been demonstrated to be at least five hundred meters, extending radially from SCP-6129-1's brain. Deceased instances of SCP-6129-1 do not exhibit any other abnormal behavior and are to be incinerated as per standard protocol.

Though generally belligerent, interviews with Amon have revealed that many of its former manifestations are historical figures of great import, including but not limited to Hammurabi of Babylon, Alexander the Great of Macedonia, and Julius Caesar of Rome. Amon claims that it is a "Demon," and in ancient history, there were many "Daemin" extant throughout human history, though this claim is neither verifiable or refutable.

The first SCP-6129-1 instance brought into Foundation custody was encountered during an MTF Alpha-17 ("Damn Narcs") raid on an apartment in Beijing, reported by civilians to be emitting strange smoke. Various anomalous objects, later found to be products of Marshall, Carter, & Dark LLP, were found lying around an intoxicated business executive, the then current instance of SCP-6129-1. When accosted by MTF agents, SCP-6129-1 loudly proclaimed "Try me, you fucking wench!" and promptly shot itself in the chest. Agent ███████ was standing closest to SCP-6129-1 at the time, and thus became the new SCP-6129-1 instance. Agent ███████ turned on their colleagues in the MTF, though they were quickly subdued and tranquilized.

Procedure 6129-Mortis: Consistent with the one week five day period during which SCP-6129 is unable possess a new host, every five days, twenty-six D-class personnel equipped with sedative bracelets are to be positioned in the containment cell in such a manner that every distinct cubic meter has one occupant. The bracelets are to be primed with unique keypad inputs, which will prompt the wearer to enter a preconfigured PIN within a ten second window after every twenty seconds. These PINs must be at least ten digits in length and must not be recycled between instances of Procedure 6129-Mortis.

As soon as the D-class personnel have been positioned, the mindlock should be vacuumized for a period with a minimum length of thirty twenty ten minutes in order to kill the current SCP-6129-1 instance via asphyxiation. This will then cause one of the D-class personnel to become the next SCP-6129-1 instance, which will be incapacitated via means of the tranquilizer bracelet within thirty seconds. Previous iterations of this procedure have seen SCP-6129-1 attempt to brawl their way out of the containment chamber, so the D-class selected for this Procedure should preferably be well-versed in combat in order to effectively subdue a particularly belligerent SCP-6129.

Incident Log 213-Apocalypso: On 202█-██-██, a large-scale containment breach occurred at Site 213, with ██ anomalies escaping their containment cells. Audit reports show that this was caused by a catastrophic failure of the digital security system, which unlocked an entire sector's worth of doors. ███ fatalities were sustained, with █ SCP objects permanently escaping containment. After surveying the damage in a routine sweep of the facility, SCP-6129-1 was found dead by asphyxiation in its containment chamber. It can be safely concluded that the pneumatic suffocation mechanism misfired in the fray of the breach. As the most recent instance of Procedure-6129-Mortis had taken place only three days prior, SCP-6129 was then declared Neutralized.
